  • @Baunkuikui You are mistaken! True Cathoilc per-say didn't write the Bible! But with out question it was the Catholic church that determined what books were inspired and hense fourth belonged in the Bible! This is a Historical fact! Nowhere in the Bible does it say which book belong to the Bible ! This was determined Through the Guidance of the Holly Spirit, By the Cathoilc Church!

  • what about saint dominic de guzman ???????????

  • unplanned find!

  • nice, it only lacks our Filipino saint, St Lorenzo Ruiz, thanks

  • Omnes Sancti et Sanctæ Dei, Intercédite pro nobis.!

  • Most of the non catholic pple are wonder why we have statue of the saints inside our church; and the reason why; it's just to remind us all those good pple who use to live their whole life 4 jesus and did the good work of the lord..Sometimes when u look at the statue of the saints; u want to be like them and do all the good work that they did.

  • I really liked your video, it reminded me of all of those who have made great sacrifices for the good of others. Please Lord make me worthy of thy holy presence.

  • saints give catholics the ability to relate to regular people who triumphed under extraordinary circumstances.

  • Please, if anyone reads this pray for my sister who has lost her faith.

    Thank you for your prayers

  • more pagan catholic saint worship it kills me inside. why do ye not search the scriptures?

  • Instead of looking at this from a purely religious state, remember the good that these people did. That to me is what is truly beautiful, we do not for one minute claimed that they were perfect, but they did their best with what they had, with what they could. We do not pray too they, we pray to be like them, that is the difference it is not idolism or worship, it is the thought that we too must strive to be the best we can be for ourselves but most of all for others

  • Dave, make more movies to us! You are good on that! Congratulations for this one!

  • Thanks a million to whoever assembled this video. If one could supply the names of the known saints (and the artists) appearing on the video it will help us appreciate many of them more. God Bless and keep up the good work.

  • awesome pics! wish i had as good a collection as you do... most seem of decent quality at least! great song too... so fitting... would be perfect if the pics had accompanying names tho! not all were very recognisable...

  • Wow, great video !! ^^

Saints should be our roll models, our friends, helping us to live our lives so we can grow closer to Christ.

  • Beautiful. The Lord be with you.

  • Wrong. Catholics ARe the original Christians and the new testament was written by Catholics (although they did not no they were catholics at the time).

Christian denomination such as Calvinism and Anglicanism came a total 1500 yrs later which is why their bibles have new things added and Catholic books taken out. In fact, I guarentee that if you were to study the past of the Catholic church compared to your church's history, you would convert full-scale to Catholicism:D

  • saints are honored as role models:)

if at times a Catholic honors them, they may pray to them and i can see how this might confuse one.

Some saints are held as a patron of something (eg. St. Anthony, Patron of Lost things). One may pray to this saint if they have lost something but it must be fully realized that all power comes from God and God alone.

  • What you said is almost correct. Catholics don't worship anyone else other than Jesus Christ. Jesus is our savior.

Catholic don't worship false gods. Catholics only worship God. We do not worship the saints or Mary.

  • i pray that our Protestant brethren grow to appreciate some of our rich Catholic culture as at least of some merit. are we Catholics nothing but truly evil? and even if some of us are, could our beloved Saints be evil?

we love you and respond kindly to you... could you not do us a little bit of the same courtesy sometimes?

    love thy enemy...

    love thy neighbour as thyself...

whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me...

may they be one as You and I are One.

  • Nice. Thanks. I'll show it to my confirmation kids.

  • "The difference between the Gospel written and the lives of the saints is the same as the difference between music written on a page and music played out loud." - Saint Augustine

  • @davemyers1977 was that Ignatius with the Lion twords the begging?

  • @davemyers1977

Where di you get this from... As far as I know music was hardly written during Augustine's time...

  • Also, as regards praying to Saints - when we speak to the saints we ask them to pray for us. As the Letter of James notes "the prayer of the righteous man availeth much." When we "pray" to saints it would be the same as my coming to your father, who I'm sure is a good and righteous man, and asking him to pray for me. The saints are our elder brothers and sisters in Christ. We certainly do not pray to them in the same way we pray to Christ or the Father, and we don't worship them in any way.

  • Boy somebody needs to study some history. Check Saint Augustine or any other source from the Early Church Fathers and you will find that the Christians who believed in orthodox things like the Trinity (try finding that word in the bible by the way - you won't, and yet you believe in it don't you?) referred to themselves as Catholics, that is, members of the Church that was One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.

  • 1 Tim 4: 1-2: The Spirit has explicitly said that during the last times some will desert the faith and pay attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines that come from devils.

1 Tim 6: 3-4: Anyone who teaches anything different and does not keep to the sound teaching which is that of our Lord Jesus Christ, the doctrine which is in accordance with true religion, is proud and has no understanding.

So before you get hostile at the Catholic Church try reading the bible (psst, it came from us).

  • Ephesians 3:14-15

14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,

15from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,

    Romans 8:38-39

38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • You bet we'll never change. Why would we deny these grest gifts Our Heavenly Father gave us to know His Son ever more intimately. We've believed the same thing since 33AD. When did your denomination start, and how many times has it changed it's beliefs since then? ONE FAITH! Ephesians 4

All argument set aside...Seems like you really love Jesus, take this as an open invitation to know Him more intimately in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church!

  • I agree to your statement on this....
