how many of you would rather sum one spin sum fat jump up drum and bass with scratching juggling and MIXING in a 6 min DMC set and do it so it all flows. cus thats my style and even thou i love turtablism its all gettin to messy and as a result it dont sound that good no matter how much skill the djs got
@Deejayjskillz i mix drum and bass religiously for over ten years. I would MUCH RATHER see some turntablism which jumpy insane shit all over the place than someone mixing dnb with sctraching and beat juggling. I do that shit myslef, its bedroom stuff and i come to DMC to see outrageious skill (which this guy doesnt have btw)
he got skills, but it sounds a bit redoundant since there is not much action happening. this is more of a chill out kinda presentation but its still good
cant take nuttin away from these guy skills nowadays, but back in days when u won dmc u became legendary. Q bert, crzae, a trak, roc raida, kentaro etc. these guys r pioners of the game.
jesus..i have no problem with custom pressed vinyl but why do these types of routines win????fuck pressing vinyl might as well let em bring their laptops
yo i agree... i can understand using a custom vinnyl here and there but a whole routine... u gotta switch the records up and juggle beats from within the song. i mean to put sample after sample just seems a lil boring now
How much does it cost do have custom vinyl? If DMC doesn't allow digital equipment like serato because people can't afford it, can people afford making custom vinyl?
yeah ii understand when u cant afford 2 use serato cuz i was one those cats for the longest times... my point is that when yur whole routine is just 2 pressed vinnyl that never gets switched, it can get boring. i'm not sayin it doesn't take skills to do a routine wit pressed vinnyl but now u takeaway from djs who still dig for vinnyl compared to a dj who is good at production and can loope sounds samples together
Check dj Kentaro if you want to see some real skillz.

It's kinda boring. The beats sound like a routine done in 2002 or some shit.
