@ReVzRashada No, its the cheapest upgrade for a computer actually. send me your computer specs, manufacturer, and model number of the computer and i can look up compatible upgrades for it
@JustinBurkeMusic the intel hd graphics will slow down you a bit but it should be playable. Get a desktop if you want to play games with reasonable framerate.

hey guys i have a laptop with the 8600m gt but it wont run even in low settings it lags!hows that possible?i can see that it can run easily in worse graph cards!could it be a game problem?
I have C2d 2ghz, 3,5gb ram and ati 3470 256mb and skyrim runs just fine, 800x600, lowest possible settings (ingame settings, actor fade, grass fade... maxed) and I have sth about 30 fps
The processor is important as the information needs to travel from point A to B. A dual core processor would be needed though a normal dual core should be enough to run the game on low settings - I've got a 2.5 GHz dual core and it runs fine !
@a619mwa yes although it depends on your settings, if you cut draw distance down a bit and set textures to medium and run at a lower resolution you can easily run this game with less than 2ghz processor of dual core

Hey, yeah the game runs very well at low/medium specs on my laptop. The video is laggy because the software I use to record the game eats up half my RAM :(
There's also a performance enhancing mod which means I can run the game on medium settings. I recommend you buy the game and just play with the settings until you find the perfect combination. I normally get 30-50 FPS ;)

I've heard of people who, with the performance mod and every setting at lowest, have been able to run it at 10-20 fps. 256mb or 512mb cards are quite cheap nowadays so I'd recommend getting one :)
Is it still enjoyable? I'm away from home for a year without my Ps3 so I can't get this. I have a 256mb video card. I would run it on low, but do you think the graphics are too shitty?
Hey, I'm in the same situation, away from my 360 for a year :( I'm running it at 1280x800 resolution at about 40fps but the graphics and gameplay are still really good even at low settings. Definitely enjoyable :D
I recommend putting most of the object, grass, specular etc fade to 3 or 4 (except for actors... I had that on 2 and couldn't see enemies until they were right in my face ;D ). That reduces the number of polygons your card has to render and you can then afford to bump up textures and keep a good fps :)
@everclear21 Thanks, actually I just put it on fullscreen. With fullscreen 1024 resolution I can put the textures on low but have the grass etc at high range and have it run perfectly. If 800x600 I can put it on Medium textures with lower range for the grass etc and It still runs perfectly.
@everclear21 there are performance mods already out there that may allow you to bump it up to a mixture of low and mid settings, go to skyrimnexus and check them out.
If I wanted to buy graphics card or new processor, which would it be? my specs are:
-AMD Radeon HD 6450 512MB
-4GB RAM
-Windows 7 Enterprise 32-Bit
-Intel Core2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz

Hey, I'm in the same situation, away from my 360 for a year :( I'm running it at 1280x800 resolution at about 40fps but the graphics and gameplay are still really good even at low settings. Definitely enjoyable :D

@everclear21 Thanks for the response. I just bought it today and It works decently. It's a little bit laggy, but it's not bad.

When I say fullscreen I mean 4:3

@everclear21 there are performance mods already out there that may allow you to bump it up to a mixture of low and mid settings, go to skyrimnexus and check them out.
