Meh...seeing that this is supposed to be a luxury brand, I think it can be criticised for that cheap interior. Too much plastic, and all those buttons look like they have been placed as an afterthought. It may be (a bit) less expensive than a German performance sedan, but it also doesn't come close in terms of quality and feeling of quality.

I think the IS-F is sort of an underdog in its class. Everybody can buy an M3 but not everybody has the balls to drive a Lexus. I like the IS-f althoug the fake exhaust isnt my thing.

I also like the black IS-F that meade916 owns.

That silver stuff on the door panel you mentioned is called texalium (think thats how u spell it) wrap, often used for layers on hockey sticks to dampen vibration. Think of it as a cooler looking kevlar

Conclusion: ///M3 is better because it weighs less, redlines higher, and lower torque BUT the thing is, is that the IS-F has its torque at higher rpms AND it redlines LOWER. the ///M3 has less torque but redlines higher and has it at lower rpms. which means on the ///M3 you can utilize your torque WAY more than on the IS-F.

Winner: BMW ///M3

My mom has a 2010 IS250 AWD thats loaded. And, her newer nav system seems more dated than this. As do the sunroof controls. Although, the power window switches are improved as these 2008 switches look straight out of our 95 Camry haha.

I just dont understand why lexus went with"F" as their performance line indicator badge. I just says fail in my mind eventhiugh lexus is a very great brand. I would think they would go with the typical japanese letters like R, S, L, P. The isf is great but it just dosent impress me visualy. Performance wise, this is thr car to have :)
