Practice. You'll get it down eventually. He's really not terribly difficult until after the second knockdown; if you can remain relatively calm while he speeds up, you're sure to outlast him at the very least.

Congrats on beating Dragon Chan though. He was a huge pain in the ass when I was first learning to play this game. I must've spent a couple days trying to learn his patterns until I finally got him. Then again, I was like... eight then. lol.
