  • sounds like its gotta lifter down or peckin one

  • good thing you junked that 318,next time ya wanna build a general lee start with a big block car to begin with.

  • @terry2cats it was a big block car... the small bock (from another car I have) was temporary, so I could drive it, and take it to the last Dukesfest in 2008. That 318 is bulletproof, and is going back into the 68 Satellite I borrowed it from.

  • @terry2cats 318s are better then big blocks can get well more hp out of them and last longer

  • Cuántos caballos de fuerza tiene o tenía el general lee. El verdadero ?

  • ok, you did see teh title of this video.... running for the FIRST time.... meaning it wasn't running at all before this. Once we got it to start for the FIRST time (this video) we worked out the bugs in it.. this engine was also only temporary, it now has a 383 in it.

  • whoooo hooo yeeeeaaaahhhaawwwww. . . general dieded. Cooter: Tried it again. . . . . Its alive!!! yeahaww!!

  • I was hoping that oil fell inthe fan blades

  • she could use a rebuild/overhaul

  • 383 duh

  • put some starter fluid

  • 420 smallblock sounds like

  • 383?

  • bad motor mount or oxygen sensor is faulty :)))

  • @XYtruck25 no o2 sensor on that one

  • @XYtruck25

Yea! That's it dude, it's got a bad oxygen sensor!!! Why didn't I think of that?

    LOL @ HAHA.

  • i hear a stuck lifter

  • i say a new 6.4 hemi would do rather well under there...

  • Rebuild or Get a crate motor.

  • Lifters havn't pumped up yet I have had a ton of 318 and 360's in my time yup but this 318 is tired but she still runs.

  • yes, that is a 318 smallblock, and was the 1st time I had cranked over after being installed. Engine hadnt been started for about 2 years, prior to that. car now has a 383 big block in it.

  • wow is that a small block cause there is WAY more room under the hood, just trying to figure it out

  • @skullbully2 dimentionally the 318 is just as wide as a 383

  • @hottrodmike faults

  • @hottrodmike Why your out of your damn mind. same size as a 360 . 383 is as wide as a 440

  • Yup, stuck lifter. Timing is good because it kicks up the second he gooses the throttle, but there's definitely a stuck lifter making that noise.

  • could be lifter or pistonslap.

  • sounds like its either knockin or missin a couple cylinders

  • just some good ol boys here!

  • WHERES THE OIL AT IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMES ONE KNOCKING AT THE FRONT DOOR

  • She's got a stuck lifter, or one that hasnt pumped up yet...
