often in old times the musicians knew a few instrimental tunes and sang many different words to them. I have a few records from Edison - turn of the century with the same musical "theme" but different words...
Fly in the Buttermilk, shoo fly shoo! Fly in the buttermilk shoo fly shoo! Fly in the buttermilk shoo fly shoo! Skip to my Lou my darling......is the way I heard this song. An old traditional folk song which was often used to dance to, maybe "clogging" or a "buck and wing". I have seen my grandfather dance to this song, he was a great dancer!

Just the best song from the whole thing, I feel like...what they fight for, the ability to be in peace and celebrate with music like this.

This was one of my favorite parts of the movie, the scene was warm and cheery. Great song.
