I invested/spent thousands of dollars to the PS1/PS2 games, did not use any modchip neither illegal copies only to support those companies. And finally my gift from Sony for supporting them was removing the Backward Compatibility on the PS3. What a joke.. Sony decides what game to play, for me. Heh. I did not and will never buy a PS3. I fucking despised Sony for keeping quiet about backwards compatibility. As soon as I took out my 40GB PS3, I knew something about it wasnt right. When I found out it couldnt play PS2 games, it ruined my christmas, seriously. I took it back and got a 60GB a month later. Keep an eye out for the new 250GB PS3 slim though, I have a feeling that might have the BC. Considering they'll make mammoth profit from it, theres no excuse not to include it. Dont hold your breath though. Lol.

However, the current console systems such as PS2, PS3 are just some fucking useless bullshit! Their hardware quality is just a joke if we compare them with the first PlayStation. There's a very meaningless "price-cut" competition between the game console companies. The result? Cheaper hardware, cheaper plastic, cheaper items, cheaper laser, cheaper cd drive, cheaper inside, cheaper outside! Oh.. Plus "Made in China"

True.. the original Playstation had all the classics.. while the PS2 had a *few* good games and it's incredibly longevity has to be admired (Here in the UK at least it's still going incredibly strong, with new games still being released), but there was a period when they were just churning out rubbish for the system.

I preffered playing the N64, but I have to admit the PSone was the best console of its gen by a mile. Mario 64, Goldeneye, Zelda OoT, Banjo Tooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64 and other 1st games I cant remember off the top of my head were all untouchable, but tbh, 90% of the 3rd party N64 games were hopeless apart from Fighters Destiny. And Nintendo's decision to stick with cartridges was a joke, it cost them dearly.

Lol bad graphics? I guess you had to live the SNES and Genesis era to understand the power of PSX. When I first laid my eyes on PSX battle arena toshinden was nothing short of spectacular. The most eye popping or ear popping moment to be exact was the voice. Yes voices were not new then (ie sega CD) but was not recognized famously until PSX was introduced. That christmas of 95 was indeed the best moment of my childhood memory.
