i think the movie had great visuals n looked 'cool' as these movies normally do but i felt the sequences was poorly put together and felt it was more action than character driven so i didnt care what happend to claire or chris, and it seemed like the makers realised that they had to connect this movie the game franchise more by pushing chris n claire to the same level as alice. i think this movie makes the previous ones feel pointless when alice becomes human again

the reason that they "made" alice is because they don't want to be bias with only one RE character......if their main character is Chris it would be really unfair with the fans of leon, for example...so these guys made a none RE character (alice) so the fans won't be upset with the Movie Makers...and they should thank them for having the RE characters as Alice's companions...

It goes deeper into human conflicts etc. The games have backstories to them about it, but it's never the main theme. The movie would be dull if you just had Chris or whoever running through a bunch of areas blowing up zombies and mutated monsters. You can do non-stop zombie slashing in a game, but in a movie it gets old after about 5 minutes without any higher story.

It's a scifi movie as much as an action movie, so yeah the psychic powers/clones fit right in. Let's face it, the idea of a zombie apocalypse isn't realistic either. Nor are those kinds of mutations by any means (mutations can't exactly happen to an individual - they can only happen through genetic mutations/errors in sex cells that get passed on to offspring).

@darkwoodmovies Sorry, but you are so very wrong. Basing that on just Resident Evil 5 as well, which is in my opinion one of the worst in the main canon part of the series (but still a good game). The games story goes far beyond 'just hack-and-slash zombies', in fact probably the most complicated games franchise ever. There's incidents involving viruses, people, and corperations such as Umbrella and Tricell, that ultimately lead to the storyline. I suggest you try the older RE's, particularly 2.
