Yeah I've noticed these changes too. It's really sad. They remind me of the HAL 9000 in the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey. Their minds are malfunctioning with these logically inconsistent ideas. BTW, an infinite universe model seems logical as long as there is an inherent quantum.
Reply to your comment on: FINALLY -- EVIDENCE FOR ATHEIST DOGMA™
@robtay1963 You are a complete and utter fucking moron.
You FAILED to provide any evidence for atheist dogma™, so you lose, asshole.
There is no evidence for atheist dogma™ because it is a load of crap, just like your ignorant post, you fucking cunt...... This guy deleted my comment then blocked me so I could not respond to him. Don't know what I wrote on his video but I am never rude, I think I said we have no Dogma
@robtay1963 How do we atheist make it any more clear, we don't have a religion, belief structure or dogma because they all imply an absolute unchanging truth, we believe in peer reviewed ever changing truth seeking science, not magical invisible megalomaniac, who is so petty he needs to be stroked and pampered buy us evil lowly sinners...... We simply don't believe in what we can not verify with our senses or our Intellect.
@SupremeAmerican current science versus 2000 year old fairy tale of invisible magic man......sorry I may not be a scientist, but I have read both the bible and many books on evolution and history and biology.
I just think its funnt how anyone can say such things to guys who went on national television in front of millions of people, got a question right to the face suddenly and yet couldnt explain to the best of your abilities on the computer where you can think of your response undisturbed for as long as you wont.
Haha I really think this proves nothing. All it is is a bunch of edited responses about philosophy. What scientific, hard cold facts are in that? This entire thing is staged and ridiculous. Nothing concrete=getting nowhere. I see no concreteness from either side in this edited, biased video.
I had not seen this before today. All I had ever seen was the edited version. Just one more feather in the atheist camp. I wonder which god will be on top next? Only to have another fall off Mt.Stupid. The days for this one are already numbered.
They are called the rational response club right? They are acting like science has confirmed their beliefs right?Well how could they say,"The universe is infinite."That is irrational and not scientifically sound. The second LAW of thermodynamics would state this to be an impossibility. The moon moving away from the Earth at the rate it is would be another. The seas getting saltier at the rate they are is another.Dying stars is another.WOTM were probably just dumbfounded at their irrational response.
The scientific does not beleive that the universe have always been existed. The "simplist solution" is not a scientific solution. There is the big bang theory. There was nothing and there now is something. Phylosophi can conclude on your simple solution but not science. It is nota simple solution to science. Christianity has the simplist solution. There is a maker of things and He has revealed hHimself to His creation. If you could understand the language of nthe stars they only give God Glory.
The "simplist solution" you are giving is not a sciencitific solution. Science have not proven that creation is always been there. There was the big bang sciencitific approach of creation. Your are mixing phylosophi and science to conclude the your solution. Science will not accept your "simple solution". It is not a simple solution. not yet to science and to phylosophi. May only be to individuals.
"The god of this age (satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
(2 Corinthians 4:4)
As a former atheist and man of science, I sympathize with those who cannot see what God has created. It took many years before I believed. For me, it was an in depth look at the development of a baby inside of his mother's womb. Wow, what an amazing design (creation)!
@edadan2009 Amen brother,The evidence is before us,the seasons,rain,day/nite,the beautiful blue sky,the sun,the moon, a beating heart,BLOOD,you mean all these things jst burst into existence!Life has no meaning at all?The complex design of the human body?My God what an empty existence to think you your entire family an everything on the planet is jst a fluke!
@royalcoils100 I hope you realize how laughable this response is. Science does not claim we just burst into existence. Matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed. However, the bible does claim that god created everything from nothing. We would call that magic, and it is ridiculous. Do you really believe in unicorns, dragons, and talking snakes? This god person may as well be mother goose. It is a fairy tale and nothing more.
@Protectourbioshpere Ok then explain the socalled "Big Bang Theory" basically something blew up right?I've never in my entire life seen an explosion form a perfect circumference, the Bible predicted that there wld be naysayers, ppl who put all of their faith in man,bt I hv some questions why did food start growing from the earth, was the food hear first or man,and if the food was hear who planted it and tended the crops,if you cld please answer this for me I wld very much oblidged.
@royalcoils100 Alright, even though you completely failed to even attempt to answer my questions I will do my best to answer yours. It is theorized that the universe is cyclical (expanding and contracting) through methods far to complex to fit in this little box. As far as abiogenesis it is thought that base chemicals came together powered by energy from the sun eventually creating single ell organisms that became more complex over time. We do not fully understand these things, (more...)
@Protectourbioshpere LOL,you have really good grammar,bt I want you to tell me if the earth knew that it was gonna create man,and which one was hear first food or man?
@royalcoils100 Actually, my grammar is terrible. I struggle with it, but thanks for the comment. Food was here long before man was. What did dinosaurs eat?
@Protectourbioshpere Who planted it and why,why does a woman have a vaginal opening and a man a penis that fits perfectly, what abt that lovely heart that beats in your chest as you type, and that beautiful brain what is more complex than anything fragile man cld create,so you say there's no creator that's your opinion,bt something out there is magnificent and brilliant beyond far far more intelligent than us,in my heart I kno what it is Im a believer,I respectfully agree to disagree with you.
@royalcoils100 Nobody planted it. If they were initially planted then where would the seed have come from? Irreducible complexity is the subject you are hitting on, and that will backfire when the question of where did god come from chimes in. You are welcome to your opinion, and I will respect your right to have it. I hope I was able to show you to some degree that you had some misconceptions about what evolutionists believe though, and you are still avoiding my questions. Just sayin :)
@royalcoils100 Oh and my bad I didn't address the earth knowing thing...of course it didn't. Don't be silly. that would imply that the earth has a conscience. Also, you are still avoiding my questions. Do you actually believe in afore mentioned mythical creatures? what about Noah's' ark? A 400 foot boat with all of those animals for 40 days? Also, the bible implies we are all born of incest. Any thoughts on that?
@ProtectourbioshpereI certainly dnt believe in unicorns,an yes I do believe in Noah's ark,as far as all of us being born of incest well,Adam an Eve were man an wife,as for there children the earth had to be populated someway,I'll tell you brother there are a lot sicker things than a brother an sister sleeping together to populate the earth goin on today, jst watch the evening news!See you are looking at things from simple mans point of view whereas i feel ANYTHING is possible with the God.
@royalcoils100 Well, you have just illustrated a major reason I am not religious. How can you cherry pick the word of god. Your book claims these things to have existed. I would disagree about the simple mans portion though. Science is far deeper than religion will ever be. It explains our world, and provides us with everything that we use; including that thing you are typing on. Also, incest has been shown to create genetic defects.
@Protectourbioshpere Royal families of many nations once practiced the union of cousins to the king, to keep the royal blood line pure and it often led to sickly and mentally unstable kings. Even with dogs if you in breed a few generations the dogs eventually have a large birth defect rate, and mortality at birth rate. So how could all types of all animals including humans come from just one male and one female. A Christian once told me it was because Adam n Eve were so pure they had no defects
@robtay1963 UM atheist here, I don't believe we could possibly come from one man and one woman. Need way bigger gene pool. Plus science has long since proven evolution. If one part of the bible is wrong it must all be wrong that is what they kept telling me in church, I have found so much historical inaccuracies in the bible that I guess it must all be wrong.....
@robtay1963 Could not agree more. That statement about Adam and Eve was clearly made in ignorance, which is not surprising. Don't understand something? God did it! Problem solved! It does not matter how pure they were in the outset. A few generations down and the case would be very different. Besides what kind of story is this anyway? Who did their children procreate with? Gross!
@Protectourbioshpere Funny thing is if you ask a Christian if Incest is ok they say NO, but we have Cain and his wife, and there children and then cousins and so forth, then the flood and all those begotten after would be Cousins, Then we have Lot and his daughters. So they fall back on the old rant, but that was the old Testament. Of course bible says God is unchanging, and Jesus himself said I have not come to take any of the law away....so yes gross....continued
@Protectourbioshpere Continued: I was once a christian and would give the same tired answers, I wish I had woken up sooner. But I can tell you that until they want to see they will use bible as proof of bible. And say it was god because we can't explain exactly how big bang started. What I finally figured out is there are many things that we gave god credit or blame for until we understood them. Now is the time to grow up and realize the unknown is not god but discoveries waiting to happen.
@Protectourbioshpere Bu fear not, for when I was a christian I prayed to god for answers about the beginning of time, now I am of science so I am going to Hill Valley tomorrow and see if I can borrow Doc Brown's DeLorean and check out the Big Bang, lets see I have to set the time circuits for 14,400,000.000. That about right isn't it. I will take videos and post then when I get back....LOL......Really christians even if we never know every thing is it logical to blame invisible magic man.
@robtay1963 LOL well, I am not completely convinced of the big bang either, so i would very much like to see that video when you get back. I am glad to hear that you had an awakening, but to be honest I really have no ill will towards people of faith. It is only when they use their faith to alter the lives of others and stifle the scientific process that i get irate. If they want to believe that mother goose made the heavens and the earth, fine, but it's silly to expect us all too.
@Protectourbioshpere Marty messed up on a date last week with Jenifer so he has the Delorean for a few days. I agree though on no ill will, I still have a few friends who are christians and I don't preach to them, but I figure if people are watching these kinds of videos they may be looking for answers and I can give some in form of sick evil scripture or place to find historical facts, and some science..If not for forced religion in the dark ages not many would still believe in magic man in sky
@robtay1963 Damnit Marty! We have important work to conduct here! people are wrong on the internet, and we have to set them straight! Joking aside though, once again, I agree. Preaching and speaking your mind are not always one in the same. I find it incredible that not only do so many people believe this stuff so thoroughly, but more so that they are so shocked when someone else does not. Like I am the one that has the far fetched idea.
@Protectourbioshpere look at my more recent comments, see one I can not send to the guy cause he blocked me for saying atheist don't have dogma...first parts are him up to the end of the vulgarity
@royalcoils100 but science is a process that seeks understanding of these possible facts. We are getting closer as the years go by. One day we may be able to reproduce these things or provide more detailed explanations. Note, I am not the expert and better explanations are abound if you would pick up a science book. Science has the humility to say when we do not know where religion makes claims based on nothing more then an extremely old text that claims the world to be flat. Hope that helps...
@Protectourbioshpere First of all my dear do you even kno what matter is,matter is anything that takes up space right, what science book hv you been reading,to say that matter can not be created or detsroyed lets me kno right now, that you haven't a clue abt science at ALL and I shld probably end this correspondence here becuz mostly likely your next response is gonna be as outlandish as your first one.
@royalcoils100 hahahaha dude, what book have you been reading? Look up the third law of thermodynamics. Can you give me an example where this is wrong?
@edadan2009 Stargate:SG1, season 10, first paragraph you wrote here sounds like this guy called the Doci, "And we will build great ships and take Origin to all the nonbelievers and we will destroy evil where ever we find it"... and these were the bad guys....sorry just the whole unbeliever and Satan thing bugs me. I don't like Absolutes, I don't consider you evil because you believe in god why is it that atheist who seek science must be blinded by this fictional evil being called satan.
Ray comfort, banana, lol .... Kirk Cameron , " We will teach you to circumnavigate their Intellect " ... according to dictionary INTELLECT. 1. a : the power of knowing as distinguished from the power to feel and to will : the capacity for knowledge b : the capacity for rational or intelligent thought especially when highly developed. .....So is thats what Christianity is, giving up rational thought. No kirk does not say the above quote in this video but on way of the master site....
Either you believe in God or you don't. God wants you to belief in Him, but it has to be your choice, there's a reason God did not provide us with absolute proof of His existence other then the Bible. He wants us to come to Him with pure trust and faith. I KNOW God exists, I feel him in my heart and soul everyday and I love Him so very much. I will never deny God or Jesus no matter what science "proves".
Sorry, but that is no rational reason to believe anything. That is merely a comforting belief. A security blanket.
How do you manage to justify to yourself that you will believe whatever you feel like believing, in the face of evidence to the contrary?
These beliefs are personal to the individual, and therefore different to each individual/group. They are therefore divisive, and divide people into US and THEM.
These beliefs continue to cause REAL harm to REAL people.
@suzannejersey so youre saying that regardless of whatever contradictory physical evidence emerges, you will not believe it?? we have a word for that in the English language: "stupid". blind faith is willing ignorance, its just plain stupidity. not to mention that what you "feel" is very easily manipulated by experiences and your own mind.
I am Christians and natural selection is not random! To an athiest it must seem like random from sky daddy! Honestly, find some common ground Christians and don't deny science!
Lol i find this funny. people call something science and therefore it must be true, because a person or a couple came up with a theory. HA HA. I have no way to prove that God exist, but you have to take in consideration about how diverse our universe is. But i've been wondering....isn't the simplest solution is that God created everything, instead of believing that all of this happened by chance?
Happened by chance? The concept of natural selection is not about chance. Speaking of chance, what's the chance of an infinitely complex creator of everything coming into existence out of nothing?
@gupsphoo chance aka big bang. Everything that exists must have a cause. The universe must have a cause. Nothing can be the cause of itself. The universe cannot be the cause of itself. Something outside the universe must have caused the universe. God is the only thing that is outside of the universe.
Then what caused your god to exist? If you say everything must have a cause, then you need to be logically consistent and apply that rule to your god as well. You just can't say your god is the only exception because that's NOT an argument. It's just a baseless conjecture and a convenient way to cop out.
@gupsphoo Yeah you have a valid argument, but like i said in my first comment; I have no way to prove that God exist. If God was something i could explain or dissect, then he wouldn't be God, because would have to be too complex for the human mind to understand.
If that's the case, I don't see the need to introduce a supernatural being that defies logic. Why not just say the universe has always existed instead? That sounds much more plausible than a single almighty god created everything, which sound completely absurd if you think about the size of the universe. Or better yet, admit we don't know and let scientists find out.
@gupsphoo to me it doesn't make sense or seem plausible that the universe created itself or was always here to begin with. For example, a chicken egg can not hatch on it's own; it has to be produced by chicken and needs the warmth and care from a chicken to hatch. So in the same sense, wouldn't we need a creator to produce and care for our universe?
First of all, we know how a chicken egg is hatched because we've seen that process over and over. Therefore we can conclude that it always happens this way. The same can hardly be said about the universe, so they are not in the same sense at all. Secondly, your assumption of a creator automatically begs the question that who's your creator's creator. To be logically consistent, you need to believe there are an infinite number of levels of creators.
@gupsphoo let me rephrase what i said earlier. Everything which has a beginning has a cause. God, unlike the universe, had no beginning, so doesn't need a cause. Since God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension he created, so has no beginning in time. Having a infinite number of creators is not possible.
That's not a valid argument at all. It's just an arbitrary definition that gives you a convenient way to cop out. You might as well apply the same definition to the universe itself and make God redundant.
@gupsphoo Hoping that an alternate explanation for universal, can someday be found apart from God, is a blind leap of faith, or wishful thinking. Isn't it interesting that this is exactly what professed unbelievers accuse Christians of?
Not when it's an "alternative" to a totally baseless assertion (god did it). You have to be thoroughly brainwashed to think searching for answers to explain the unknown is the same "leap of faith" as believing something despite the complete lack of evidence.
@gupsphoo If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then any evidence can be rationalized or explained away. It is like if someone refuses to believe that people have walked on the moon, then no amount of information is going to change their thinking. Photographs of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts, moon rocks..all the evidence would be worthless, because the person has already concluded that people cannot go to the moon
Rational response squad is going to hell. Psalm 14:1. John 3:36. Atheists have no purpose in life and are on their way to hell!!!!!!!! You don't need scientific proof. Just the Bible. Galatians 1:11-12. Hell is real! Christ-rejecters go there! Deal with it!
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God...For it is written: " I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent..." 1 Corinthians 1:18-19
But the natural man does not recieve the things of God,for they are foolishness to him;nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned...1 Corinthians 2:14
Here At Now You See TV We do Christian Video Testimonies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how people have come to find him as real in their life. If you could checkout our videos, leave us some feedback, and subscribe to our channel we would greatly appreciate it, or at least stop by and say hi. Also if you have a testimony of How the Lord has changed your life personally we would love to hear it.
I believe in a creator of sorts and that Jesus was his offspring, evolution doesn't work because of the whole enlightened period of the Mayans, Egyptians, and Sumerians and the Dark age after it. If evolution was right that wouldn't be there imo. We can create already so why is it so hard to grasp that we were created or hybridized with a primate? Not that hard and even the Bible says it took 6000 yrs to create Earth n the atmosphere. I beleive he came from somewhere though or it makes no sense
A simple stone doesn´t need faith to exist and why is so difficult to prove god´s existence without faith? if somebody has a blind faith in a fairy ends convincing himself/herself that the fairy exists beyond argument... it´s very sad religious fanatics call themselves "thinking creatures".
lol read page eight of Hawking's "A Brief History of Time." Scientists believed the steady state theory instead of big bang for the exact reason Sapient does, it doesn't suggest a creator. But, background cosmic radiation was enough to convince most relevent scientists of the accuracy of the big bang theory, but Sapient is no scientist. And obviously Cameron isn't either.
In regards ito infinite. There is a difference between size and length in the way you're thinkng aobut it. I believe you're thinking about it in relation to size. They mean it as a term of duration.
The Big Bang proves no such thing since we do not know what happened or what things were like before the BB. One theory is that the universe is in an eternal cycle of expansion/compression. In any case, if we live in a finite universe, that fact does not prove any god's existence (especially not the christian god's).
It has? Whoa! As a physics student that's a very interesting thing for me. You're telling me that the big bang theory has been replaced by something that forces the creation of a universe? oO
Ok, enough with the sarcasm. The thing is: what is the universe? If your answer is "all the existant matter", you'll have some problems. I'll explain in the next post due to character count limit.
Since roughly the 1920s we know that matter is "just" a form of energy; and matter can be converted to energy and vice versa. The big bang theory puts all energy (not matter) in a singularity in the beginning of the material universe. Basically the big bang theory sais that everything was already there before the big bang, just in a completely different form. And you could argue that that other form isn't "the universe", but that would be a quarrel entirely over terminology.
Science doesn't "prove" anything. That's a mathematical term. Science provide empirical data and physical evidence which point to the truth. It's built on facts, not assumptions--as religion.
"we know he is there by his creations and the wonders he does in peoples lives.... "
I have to ask how do you know YOUR god is the correct God.. when there are so many other religions that would disagree with you and kill for saying the above
there is NO evidence for your god.. or any other and the ignorance that most Theists show is a product of them ceasing to think beyond the very simplistic..
Thank goodness none of you are in Universities teaching the rest of us..
actuallly there is evidence , also there are many diffrent names for religon, religon really is based on telling people what not to and what to do , controling pepoles lives, thats not how God works!
Well do you really want to know? cause ill tell you, [ respectrully.] but it will be to tell you because you have intrest, on my part , not get in to an argument, ya know!
There are some things that are hidden and some things that are reveled by God to us. The hidden things will be answered when we see God face to face. God revels His mysteries to those to whom He chooses to and whoever would humble their selves to Him. I thank God that I'm one. I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened before its to late.
@105homestead I pray that.. oh wait I dont talk to myself- Its the most arrogant thign you can do to say oh well I cba to argue but ill pray forr you because you assume you are right and ignore the other person, You pray for me, Ill think for you
its funny, no one person could possibly know everything....she asked if god was infinte why couldn't the universe be infinite...the answer, the law of entropy, everything tends to chaos until equilibrium. Entropy also serves as evidence that the universe also had a begining and could not have always existed simply because we have not reached equilibrium...No one created God he is of infinite energy and has provided the energy for this universe...
You just wasted 2:45 of my life with this stupid video?! You made no point except that WOM cut out anything not pertaining to the question. Besides, if you can't figure out that the universe can't be infinately regressing, then you need more than this video to figure it all out. It's impossible,...you would never get to here if the universe didn't have a beginning. Think about it a little.......
Matthew 28:18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Very weak arguments on both sides in my opinion. Achems Razor as a basis for proving the non-existence of God?....and that rebuttal? Poor argument...even poorer defense. This whole "debate" is pretty terrible imo. Look on Youtube for Dennet, Hitchens and D'Souza.....your brain with thank you :)
i know this is a month old but i just had to reply...the simplest answer is no god. when you are born you dont know god. someone has to tell you about him, the same with santa easter bunny...etc.
no one. the first one was asked a question about something unexplainable and he had to make up a supernatural being. like, how did earth get here and he would say, well in the beginning...etc.
if you look back to the sumarian, the oldest religion, it is very similar to christianity. religion copies other religions...and there is no proof of god...i mean if you have proof share it...please.
you are making a lot of assumptions there.sumerian religion does have similarities with Israel's religion.there are huge underlying differences that show that they are nothing a like.Similarities b/w Israel and other ANE religions don't show that Israel borrowed its relgion from other civilization but rather it shows that it was a part of a broader ANE culture. here is proof of God everywhere. you learn it in school.its just a matter of using it to explain how God works or how he does not exist
im not saying the sumarians started all religion, im just they were the first to explian with it. but if you look at the summarians with their flood and 8 ppl being saved, and eygpt's horus that resembles lsreal's faith. horus is basicaly jesus. i have one question, what makes another god false? like allah visnhu odin thor loki ares zues...all the gods of the world except yaweh.
santa Clause came from real being, saint nicholas. also if you look around this world every thing has a system even the tinest rock on the floor has a system of being created someone is in control of that, also those men in the bible were they just talking to themselves, they really have no reason to have made it all up. and ugh we can't see the air but we know it is there because we feel it. same holds true for God,we know he is there by his creations and the wonders he does in peoples lives.
@rubixxcube With all due respect we can't say that there making it because, A its all recorded, history books even back some of it up and B. we weren't there, but we do have records of people who were there and wrote it down. God has proven himself through out time through the acts that he has made happen,[ You know where moses parted the red sea, There was reports of Findings of Chariot Wheels that are said to date back to the time of paraoh, which the bible states died when the sea came down.]
@LoverofJesusChrist wow, chariot wheels- and the simplest solution isnt that I dunno, someone threw them in, its that a magical messia parted the sea with magic and when the pharoh followed he used more maaagic to drown them
With all due respect to your beliefs personally , i can see God, through the mighty works he does in my life and in the ones around me, i see him in nature and in the outside world , And i feel him every time i do something he would want me to do. Did you know that julius Ceasar is mentioned in the bible, and many of its proficies have come true, .... so upon that and the fact of just looking at the vast greatness that goes beyond the human mind, there is proof of God
Those who have the gift of faith will believe and those who don't will not believe. One cannot convince the other that they are right. But all people will know the truth some day.
Regardless of whether or not the universe is infinite, the idea that the universe just happened is still simpler than the idea that it was created by someone/something that violates all known scientific laws and theories which would have technically, been invented by the same entity.
The reason Ray and Kirk were stumped is because Brian and Kelly were making such a stupid arguement they couldn't figure out what was being said, then the moderator completely misinterpreted the atheist arguement and asked some rediculous question that didn't make any sense either because it included an asertion unrelated to anything. The moderator should have been moderated. For atheists to view something so stupid as being somehow credible to their position just shows their need for afirmation
They simply had a mind lapse. The arguement the atheists are making here is stupid. Scientists don't argue for eternality of the universe. It is winding down. The second law of thermodynamics, the law of entropy refutes any idea of an eternal universe. You have a situation where Ray and Kirk should have said God exists outside of time, space, and matter so to demand evdence of His existence when you reject design and order, yet want evidence within the naturalistic limitations you allow is wrong
Actually, scientists have proven that the universe is NOT infinite, and that will one day become to expansive it tears and the universe will collapse. So Kelly's argument that the universe is infinite holds no ground.
I don't agree with Ray or Kirk, but this video doesn't show anything that I see as deceitful. So they edited out silence and a sentence, big deal. It didn't change what was said. (Just because I don't agree with them, doesn't mean I'm not a christian, just means i think these guys are off on the belief system)
Ok the first guy that speaks is ignorant due to the fact that there is no proof that the universe has always existed. How can something that is material have always existed? Steven Hawking and Albert Einstein, who I believe are allot smarter than this guy, even know that! Maybe that is what he sincerely believes and I believe he is wrong. ---- God on the other hand has always existed in my belief, he is spirit and is not subject to the material world.
Well at least that agree that this universe was created by an intelligence that is a good start. You know it's not about disproving your statement, it's about following the evidence where it leads. You made the ASSERTION that another universe exists....the burden of proof is on you!
Spastikmunky: I agree with you the onus of proof is on me for my assertion of a material mortal non-spirit creator deity of this universe living in a meta-universe. Likewise, you also have the burden of proof about the implications that you've made that material entities cannot be eternal & that the creator deity you believe in is a non-material eternal spirit. I'd be interested in what evidence you have that the creator of this universe is an eternal non-material spirit & not something else.
ledrox: Really what it comes down to for both of us is not "proof" in the absolute sense. We must look at the available evidence and come to a conclusion as to where it leads. As far as the material universe...since the universe is based on material, time, distance, etc. the agent responsible for its existence is transcendent in nature, ie: not material, temporal, etc. It is logical to believe that a causing agent is transcendent in nature to its effects. BTW: I appreciate the civil dialogue.
What's the evidence that the creator agent is transcendent i.e. non-physical and not simply a material being in a meta-universe? why is it logical to believe so? How can a transcendent non-physical being cause anything since all forms of causation that have ever been observed are spatio-temporal and physical? Wouldn't be more logical to believe that the causal agent of this universe is also physical?
I think we can take a step together and agree that our universe did indeed have a cause. The next step is to make observations to see if we can come to a logical conclusion regarding its origin. We know that the stuff or material that makes up all matter is not eternal in nature. Einsteins theory of general relativity has been confirmed regularly. We know that material, time, space, etc. began a definite point. We can also look at the many "razor's edge" properties that make life possible.
Why can't the Universe not be infinite if God is infinite? EASY- Because God speaks, thinks, DOES, is alive. The universe DOES not speak, never had a personal relationship with any man, let alone BECOME one, never decreed anything to existence, and does not command worship. THat is a very silly questions, and I am shocked with all the Lordship Salvation garbage Kirk and Ray espouse they couldn't answer that one question simply.
The universe speaks to me, I have a PERSONAL relationship with the universe. You just hate the universe and refuse to open your eyes and heart to the universe.
I was talking to the Universe at a glass of beer recently and It told me to mention that grasshopperjax is wrong. Nothing personal guys but my personal relationship with the Universe requires me to do so. Later that night the Universe materialised Itself in a form of a sexy blonde and we had a reeeaaaaly deep personal relationship.
Trying to argue for God's existence is pretty pointless. It's either assumed by an individual or it's not. There no way to "prove" it. A person open to the possibility will likely eventually assume it. Debates like these are rather worthless.
I have to disagree there, debates like this one are vital because regardless of the "knowability" of god, the way of the master is asserting that god does exist, and all the rational response squad was doing was proving why ray and kirk are wrong, not whether god exists or not, just exposing the the terrible reasoning TWOTM is using to prove god.
@HyrulianWarlord I'll have to disagree with you there. These types of debates are'nt in the least bit vital. The Way of the Master people have their belief. The Rational Response people have theirs. Neither is going to change the others mind, and it's doubtful that their round & round back and forth would even convince someone who is teetering on the fence. One side MIGHT look like the winner because it gets more zingers in that get audience response, but that's about it.
they cut out dead time and went straight to their response. Besides, i just think that no matter how much you argue it, people are going to believe what they believe. I think that's what went through their heads, not that they didn't have an answer. They could argue as much as they want, but Brian and Kelly had no intentions of backing down, no matter what was said.
Everything points to the universe ALWAYS existing? AFAIK Father LeMaitre was the first to work with Einstein's special theory of relativity and proposed was was laughingly referred to as THE BIG BANG THEORY. Hubble's observations seemed to offer collaborating evidence, but his measurements were off and projected an age of the universe much younger than out planet.
Everything points to a start of our current form of the universe, in other words, the big bang, but, so far as we know, the matter and energy which comprise the universe existed in the "cosmic egg" before the big bang, and so far as we know, always existed. Don't use the fact that there are question marks about the state of the universe prior to the "bang" as an excuse to make an argument from ignorance and state that "god done it." I'm sure we'll eventually figure out the natural events.
I would never propose any god did it. Only BS's explanation was a tad, well, vague and inaccurate. "I" understand that there is presently much speculation about pre-big bang, and whether the end of our universe, in it's present form, will be in fire (big crunch), ice (big gap), or total disassembly (big rip).
LOL; yeah its like he sitting there and he has that look on his face and thinking "man I'm glad I wore my Depends tonight" He has that whoops I just had a bowel movement on his face and it's in public.

The seas getting saltier at the rate they are is another.Dying stars is another.WOTM were probably just dumbfounded at their irrational response.
saintjhull911 10 months ago
The scientific does not beleive that the universe have always been existed. The "simplist solution" is not a scientific solution. There is the big bang theory. There was nothing and there now is something. Phylosophi can conclude on your simple solution but not science. It is nota simple solution to science. Christianity has the simplist solution. There is a maker of things and He has revealed hHimself to His creation. If you could understand the language of nthe stars they only give God Glory.
Renallvogel 11 months ago
The "simplist solution" you are giving is not a sciencitific solution. Science have not proven that creation is always been there. There was the big bang sciencitific approach of creation. Your are mixing phylosophi and science to conclude the your solution. Science will not accept your "simple solution". It is not a simple solution. not yet to science and to phylosophi. May only be to individuals.

As a former atheist and man of science, I sympathize with those who cannot see what God has created. It took many years before I believed. For me, it was an in depth look at the development of a baby inside of his mother's womb. Wow, what an amazing design (creation)!

royalcoils100 9 months ago
@royalcoils100 I hope you realize how laughable this response is. Science does not claim we just burst into existence. Matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed. However, the bible does claim that god created everything from nothing. We would call that magic, and it is ridiculous. Do you really believe in unicorns, dragons, and talking snakes? This god person may as well be mother goose. It is a fairy tale and nothing more.
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Ok then explain the socalled "Big Bang Theory" basically something blew up right?I've never in my entire life seen an explosion form a perfect circumference, the Bible predicted that there wld be naysayers, ppl who put all of their faith in man,bt I hv some questions why did food start growing from the earth, was the food hear first or man,and if the food was hear who planted it and tended the crops,if you cld please answer this for me I wld very much oblidged.
royalcoils100 8 months ago
@royalcoils100 Alright, even though you completely failed to even attempt to answer my questions I will do my best to answer yours. It is theorized that the universe is cyclical (expanding and contracting) through methods far to complex to fit in this little box. As far as abiogenesis it is thought that base chemicals came together powered by energy from the sun eventually creating single ell organisms that became more complex over time. We do not fully understand these things, (more...)
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere LOL,you have really good grammar,bt I want you to tell me if the earth knew that it was gonna create man,and which one was hear first food or man?
royalcoils100 8 months ago
@royalcoils100 Actually, my grammar is terrible. I struggle with it, but thanks for the comment. Food was here long before man was. What did dinosaurs eat?
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Who planted it and why,why does a woman have a vaginal opening and a man a penis that fits perfectly, what abt that lovely heart that beats in your chest as you type, and that beautiful brain what is more complex than anything fragile man cld create,so you say there's no creator that's your opinion,bt something out there is magnificent and brilliant beyond far far more intelligent than us,in my heart I kno what it is Im a believer,I respectfully agree to disagree with you.
royalcoils100 8 months ago
@royalcoils100 Nobody planted it. If they were initially planted then where would the seed have come from? Irreducible complexity is the subject you are hitting on, and that will backfire when the question of where did god come from chimes in. You are welcome to your opinion, and I will respect your right to have it. I hope I was able to show you to some degree that you had some misconceptions about what evolutionists believe though, and you are still avoiding my questions. Just sayin :)
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@royalcoils100 Oh and my bad I didn't address the earth knowing thing...of course it didn't. Don't be silly. that would imply that the earth has a conscience. Also, you are still avoiding my questions. Do you actually believe in afore mentioned mythical creatures? what about Noah's' ark? A 400 foot boat with all of those animals for 40 days? Also, the bible implies we are all born of incest. Any thoughts on that?
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@ProtectourbioshpereI certainly dnt believe in unicorns,an yes I do believe in Noah's ark,as far as all of us being born of incest well,Adam an Eve were man an wife,as for there children the earth had to be populated someway,I'll tell you brother there are a lot sicker things than a brother an sister sleeping together to populate the earth goin on today, jst watch the evening news!See you are looking at things from simple mans point of view whereas i feel ANYTHING is possible with the God.
royalcoils100 8 months ago
@royalcoils100 Well, you have just illustrated a major reason I am not religious. How can you cherry pick the word of god. Your book claims these things to have existed. I would disagree about the simple mans portion though. Science is far deeper than religion will ever be. It explains our world, and provides us with everything that we use; including that thing you are typing on. Also, incest has been shown to create genetic defects.
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Royal families of many nations once practiced the union of cousins to the king, to keep the royal blood line pure and it often led to sickly and mentally unstable kings. Even with dogs if you in breed a few generations the dogs eventually have a large birth defect rate, and mortality at birth rate. So how could all types of all animals including humans come from just one male and one female. A Christian once told me it was because Adam n Eve were so pure they had no defects
robtay1963 5 months ago
@robtay1963 UM atheist here, I don't believe we could possibly come from one man and one woman. Need way bigger gene pool. Plus science has long since proven evolution. If one part of the bible is wrong it must all be wrong that is what they kept telling me in church, I have found so much historical inaccuracies in the bible that I guess it must all be wrong.....
robtay1963 5 months ago
@robtay1963 Could not agree more. That statement about Adam and Eve was clearly made in ignorance, which is not surprising. Don't understand something? God did it! Problem solved! It does not matter how pure they were in the outset. A few generations down and the case would be very different. Besides what kind of story is this anyway? Who did their children procreate with? Gross!
Protectourbioshpere 5 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Funny thing is if you ask a Christian if Incest is ok they say NO, but we have Cain and his wife, and there children and then cousins and so forth, then the flood and all those begotten after would be Cousins, Then we have Lot and his daughters. So they fall back on the old rant, but that was the old Testament. Of course bible says God is unchanging, and Jesus himself said I have not come to take any of the law away....so yes gross....continued
robtay1963 5 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Continued: I was once a christian and would give the same tired answers, I wish I had woken up sooner. But I can tell you that until they want to see they will use bible as proof of bible. And say it was god because we can't explain exactly how big bang started. What I finally figured out is there are many things that we gave god credit or blame for until we understood them. Now is the time to grow up and realize the unknown is not god but discoveries waiting to happen.
robtay1963 5 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Bu fear not, for when I was a christian I prayed to god for answers about the beginning of time, now I am of science so I am going to Hill Valley tomorrow and see if I can borrow Doc Brown's DeLorean and check out the Big Bang, lets see I have to set the time circuits for 14,400,000.000. That about right isn't it. I will take videos and post then when I get back....LOL......Really christians even if we never know every thing is it logical to blame invisible magic man.
robtay1963 5 months ago
@robtay1963 LOL well, I am not completely convinced of the big bang either, so i would very much like to see that video when you get back. I am glad to hear that you had an awakening, but to be honest I really have no ill will towards people of faith. It is only when they use their faith to alter the lives of others and stifle the scientific process that i get irate. If they want to believe that mother goose made the heavens and the earth, fine, but it's silly to expect us all too.
Protectourbioshpere 5 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere Marty messed up on a date last week with Jenifer so he has the Delorean for a few days. I agree though on no ill will, I still have a few friends who are christians and I don't preach to them, but I figure if people are watching these kinds of videos they may be looking for answers and I can give some in form of sick evil scripture or place to find historical facts, and some science..If not for forced religion in the dark ages not many would still believe in magic man in sky
robtay1963 5 months ago
@robtay1963 Damnit Marty! We have important work to conduct here! people are wrong on the internet, and we have to set them straight! Joking aside though, once again, I agree. Preaching and speaking your mind are not always one in the same. I find it incredible that not only do so many people believe this stuff so thoroughly, but more so that they are so shocked when someone else does not. Like I am the one that has the far fetched idea.

@robtay1963 Wow, always nice to see good christians on the moral high ground eh. What was his name?
Protectourbioshpere 5 months ago
@royalcoils100 but science is a process that seeks understanding of these possible facts. We are getting closer as the years go by. One day we may be able to reproduce these things or provide more detailed explanations. Note, I am not the expert and better explanations are abound if you would pick up a science book. Science has the humility to say when we do not know where religion makes claims based on nothing more then an extremely old text that claims the world to be flat. Hope that helps...
Protectourbioshpere 8 months ago
@Protectourbioshpere First of all my dear do you even kno what matter is,matter is anything that takes up space right, what science book hv you been reading,to say that matter can not be created or detsroyed lets me kno right now, that you haven't a clue abt science at ALL and I shld probably end this correspondence here becuz mostly likely your next response is gonna be as outlandish as your first one.

I will never deny God or Jesus no matter what science "proves".
suzannejersey 1 year ago
@suzannejersey
Do you care?
martiangrundy 1 year ago
@suzannejersey so youre saying that regardless of whatever contradictory physical evidence emerges, you will not believe it?? we have a word for that in the English language: "stupid". blind faith is willing ignorance, its just plain stupidity. not to mention that what you "feel" is very easily manipulated by experiences and your own mind.

I am Christians and natural selection is not random! To an athiest it must seem like random from sky daddy! Honestly, find some common ground Christians and don't deny science!
bagospannerz 1 year ago
Lol i find this funny. people call something science and therefore it must be true, because a person or a couple came up with a theory. HA HA. I have no way to prove that God exist, but you have to take in consideration about how diverse our universe is. But i've been wondering....isn't the simplest solution is that God created everything, instead of believing that all of this happened by chance?
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
Happened by chance? The concept of natural selection is not about chance. Speaking of chance, what's the chance of an infinitely complex creator of everything coming into existence out of nothing?
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo chance aka big bang. Everything that exists must have a cause. The universe must have a cause. Nothing can be the cause of itself. The universe cannot be the cause of itself. Something outside the universe must have caused the universe. God is the only thing that is outside of the universe.
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
Then what caused your god to exist? If you say everything must have a cause, then you need to be logically consistent and apply that rule to your god as well. You just can't say your god is the only exception because that's NOT an argument. It's just a baseless conjecture and a convenient way to cop out.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo Yeah you have a valid argument, but like i said in my first comment; I have no way to prove that God exist. If God was something i could explain or dissect, then he wouldn't be God, because would have to be too complex for the human mind to understand.
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
If that's the case, I don't see the need to introduce a supernatural being that defies logic. Why not just say the universe has always existed instead? That sounds much more plausible than a single almighty god created everything, which sound completely absurd if you think about the size of the universe. Or better yet, admit we don't know and let scientists find out.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo to me it doesn't make sense or seem plausible that the universe created itself or was always here to begin with. For example, a chicken egg can not hatch on it's own; it has to be produced by chicken and needs the warmth and care from a chicken to hatch. So in the same sense, wouldn't we need a creator to produce and care for our universe?
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
To be logically consistent, you need to believe there are an infinite number of levels of creators.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo let me rephrase what i said earlier. Everything which has a beginning has a cause. God, unlike the universe, had no beginning, so doesn't need a cause. Since God, by definition, is the creator of the whole universe, he is the creator of time. Therefore He is not limited by the time dimension he created, so has no beginning in time. Having a infinite number of creators is not possible.
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
That's not a valid argument at all. It's just an arbitrary definition that gives you a convenient way to cop out. You might as well apply the same definition to the universe itself and make God redundant.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo Well then i would like to hear your opinion. (in regard of the universe) Why is there something rather than nothing?
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
My opinion is that we all admit we don't know and let scientists find the answer, rather than making up an "answer" that's not even verifiable.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo Hoping that an alternate explanation for universal, can someday be found apart from God, is a blind leap of faith, or wishful thinking. Isn't it interesting that this is exactly what professed unbelievers accuse Christians of?
jibur4 1 year ago
@jibur4
Not when it's an "alternative" to a totally baseless assertion (god did it). You have to be thoroughly brainwashed to think searching for answers to explain the unknown is the same "leap of faith" as believing something despite the complete lack of evidence.
gupsphoo 1 year ago
@gupsphoo If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then any evidence can be rationalized or explained away. It is like if someone refuses to believe that people have walked on the moon, then no amount of information is going to change their thinking. Photographs of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts, moon rocks..all the evidence would be worthless, because the person has already concluded that people cannot go to the moon

They mean it as a term of duration.
strangwool 1 year ago
Science has proven that the universe is not infinite, so why do these atheists argue that it is?
98nafets 2 years ago
The Big Bang proves no such thing since we do not know what happened or what things were like before the BB. One theory is that the universe is in an eternal cycle of expansion/compression. In any case, if we live in a finite universe, that fact does not prove any god's existence (especially not the christian god's).
infectingthecrypts 1 year ago
It has?
TakesTwoToTango 1 year ago
Since roughly the 1920s we know that matter is "just" a form of energy; and matter can be converted to energy and vice versa. The big bang theory puts all energy (not matter) in a singularity in the beginning of the material universe. Basically the big bang theory sais that everything was already there before the big bang, just in a completely different form. And you could argue that that other form isn't "the universe", but that would be a quarrel entirely over terminology.
TakesTwoToTango 1 year ago
I hope that kind of answers your question mate!

Science doesn't "prove" anything. That's a mathematical term. Science provide empirical data and physical evidence which point to the truth. It's built on facts, not assumptions--as religion.

LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago
Really? How does god work?
derhammerman 1 year ago
Well do you really want to know? cause ill tell you, [ respectrully.] but it will be to tell you because you have intrest, on my part , not get in to an argument, ya know!

Tell me. While you're at it, tell me how you know what you claim to know.

There are some things that are hidden and some things that are reveled by God to us. The hidden things will be answered when we see God face to face. God revels His mysteries to those to whom He chooses to and whoever would humble their selves to Him. I thank God that I'm one. I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be enlightened before its to late.

its funny, no one person could possibly know everything....she asked if god was infinte why couldn't the universe be infinite...the answer, the law of entropy, everything tends to chaos until equilibrium.

Look on Youtube for Dennet, Hitchens and D'Souza.....your brain with thank you :)
asdf52535 2 years ago
also the simplest answer is that there is a God.
this guy sucks.
cutdwnthetrees 2 years ago
i know this is a month old but i just had to reply...the simplest answer is no god. when you are born you dont know god. someone has to tell you about him, the same with santa easter bunny...etc.
rubixxcube 2 years ago
well then who told the first person whoever said there was a God that he existed?
cutdwnthetrees 2 years ago
no one. the first one was asked a question about something unexplainable and he had to make up a supernatural being. like, how did earth get here and he would say, well in the beginning...etc.
if you look back to the sumarian, the oldest religion, it is very similar to christianity. religion copies other religions...and there is no proof of god...i mean if you have proof share it...please.
rubixxcube 2 years ago
you are making a lot of assumptions there.sumerian religion does have similarities with Israel's religion.there are huge underlying differences that show that they are nothing a like.Similarities b/w Israel and other ANE religions don't show that Israel borrowed its relgion from other civilization but rather it shows that it was a part of a broader ANE culture. here is proof of God everywhere. you learn it in school.its just a matter of using it to explain how God works or how he does not exist
cutdwnthetrees 2 years ago
im not saying the sumarians started all religion, im just they were the first to explian with it. but if you look at the summarians with their flood and 8 ppl being saved, and eygpt's horus that resembles lsreal's faith. horus is basicaly jesus. i have one question, what makes another god false? like allah visnhu odin thor loki ares zues...all the gods of the world except yaweh.
rubixxcube 2 years ago
santa Clause came from real being, saint nicholas. also if you look around this world every thing has a system even the tinest rock on the floor has a system of being created someone is in control of that, also those men in the bible were they just talking to themselves, they really have no reason to have made it all up. and ugh we can't see the air but we know it is there because we feel it. same holds true for God,we know he is there by his creations and the wonders he does in peoples lives.
LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago
@LoverofJesusChrist (apparently ppl dont like my answers)
yes, santa clause was based on a real person theres videos proving he was of pagan orgin.
what is a rock's system?
so what about the greeks and romans and hindu theyre all making it up and talking to themselves? what makes your religion true? coz it says it is?
we have tangiable proof of air we can feel it hear it see it when mixed with debris.
you cant hear see or feel god...theres zero proof for your god.
rubixxcube 2 years ago
@rubixxcube With all due respect we can't say that there making it because, A its all recorded, history books even back some of it up and B. we weren't there, but we do have records of people who were there and wrote it down. God has proven himself through out time through the acts that he has made happen,[ You know where moses parted the red sea, There was reports of Findings of Chariot Wheels that are said to date back to the time of paraoh, which the bible states died when the sea came down.]
LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago
@LoverofJesusChrist wow, chariot wheels- and the simplest solution isnt that I dunno, someone threw them in, its that a magical messia parted the sea with magic and when the pharoh followed he used more maaagic to drown them
Davnios 2 years ago
@rubixxcube
LoverofJesusChrist 2 years ago
uhhh that guy is totally wrong on everything he said.
quantum, partical, and string theories all state that the universe has a starting point.
also the universe is not infinite. in fact there is a lot of evidence to show that it is decaying.
ray and kirk should have known that.
cutdwnthetrees 2 years ago
And... forgot to add this:
The rational response squad is utterly ignorant. They're just reiterating points propounded by Dawkins, etc.
And 'most simplest'????? Good one.
accountbypass1 2 years ago
In any case, it is demonstrably FALSE that the universal always existed. It had a beginning; before that space/time didn't exist.

Those who have the gift of faith will believe and those who don't will not believe. One cannot convince the other that they are right. But all people will know the truth some day.
NewDirection4us 2 years ago
Regardless of whether or not the universe is infinite, the idea that the universe just happened is still simpler than the idea that it was created by someone/something that violates all known scientific laws and theories which would have technically, been invented by the same entity.
Oreeyo 2 years ago
The reason Ray and Kirk were stumped is because Brian and Kelly were making such a stupid arguement they couldn't figure out what was being said, then the moderator completely misinterpreted the atheist arguement and asked some rediculous question that didn't make any sense either because it included an asertion unrelated to anything. The moderator should have been moderated. For atheists to view something so stupid as being somehow credible to their position just shows their need for afirmation
iint3grity 2 years ago
They simply had a mind lapse. The arguement the atheists are making here is stupid. Scientists don't argue for eternality of the universe. It is winding down. The second law of thermodynamics, the law of entropy refutes any idea of an eternal universe. You have a situation where Ray and Kirk should have said God exists outside of time, space, and matter so to demand evdence of His existence when you reject design and order, yet want evidence within the naturalistic limitations you allow is wrong
iint3grity 2 years ago
Actually, scientists have proven that the universe is NOT infinite, and that will one day become to expansive it tears and the universe will collapse. So Kelly's argument that the universe is infinite holds no ground.
olecarltone 2 years ago
I don't agree with Ray or Kirk, but this video doesn't show anything that I see as deceitful. So they edited out silence and a sentence, big deal. It didn't change what was said. (Just because I don't agree with them, doesn't mean I'm not a christian, just means i think these guys are off on the belief system)
yamnema 2 years ago
Hahaha Kirks look at the end was priceless
Nextstopearth 2 years ago
Ok the first guy that speaks is ignorant due to the fact that there is no proof that the universe has always existed. How can something that is material have always existed? Steven Hawking and Albert Einstein, who I believe are allot smarter than this guy, even know that! Maybe that is what he sincerely believes and I believe he is wrong. ---- God on the other hand has always existed in my belief, he is spirit and is not subject to the material world.
spastikmunky 3 years ago
I believe that your deity is actually a mortal being in an even larger and older universe that has created this universe. Disprove that if you can.
ledrox 2 years ago
Well at least that agree that this universe was created by an intelligence that is a good start. You know it's not about disproving your statement, it's about following the evidence where it leads. You made the ASSERTION that another universe exists....the burden of proof is on you!
spastikmunky 2 years ago
Spastikmunky: I agree with you the onus of proof is on me for my assertion of a material mortal non-spirit creator deity of this universe living in a meta-universe. Likewise, you also have the burden of proof about the implications that you've made that material entities cannot be eternal & that the creator deity you believe in is a non-material eternal spirit. I'd be interested in what evidence you have that the creator of this universe is an eternal non-material spirit & not something else.
ledrox 2 years ago
ledrox: Really what it comes down to for both of us is not "proof" in the absolute sense. BTW: I appreciate the civil dialogue.
spastikmunky 2 years ago
What's the evidence that the creator agent is transcendent i.e. non-physical and not simply a material being in a meta-universe? why is it logical to believe so? How can a transcendent non-physical being cause anything since all forms of causation that have ever been observed are spatio-temporal and physical? Wouldn't be more logical to believe that the causal agent of this universe is also physical?
ledrox 2 years ago
I think we can take a step together and agree that our universe did indeed have a cause. The next step is to make observations to see if we can come to a logical conclusion regarding its origin. We know that the stuff or material that makes up all matter is not eternal in nature. Einsteins theory of general relativity has been confirmed regularly. We know that material, time, space, etc. began a definite point. We can also look at the many "razor's edge" properties that make life possible.
spastikmunky 2 years ago
Why can't the Universe not be infinite if God is infinite? EASY- Because God speaks, thinks, DOES, is alive. The universe DOES not speak, never had a personal relationship with any man, let alone BECOME one, never decreed anything to existence, and does not command worship. THat is a very silly questions, and I am shocked with all the Lordship Salvation garbage Kirk and Ray espouse they couldn't answer that one question simply.
grasshopperjax 3 years ago
The universe speaks to me, I have a PERSONAL relationship with the universe. You just hate the universe and refuse to open your eyes and heart to the universe.
locouru 3 years ago 5
I was talking to the Universe at a glass of beer recently and It told me to mention that grasshopperjax is wrong. Nothing personal guys but my personal relationship with the Universe requires me to do so. Later that night the Universe materialised Itself in a form of a sexy blonde and we had a reeeaaaaly deep personal relationship.
jbujko 2 years ago
Trying to argue for God's existence is pretty pointless. It's either assumed by an individual or it's not. There no way to "prove" it. A person open to the possibility will likely eventually assume it. Debates like these are rather worthless.
greens47 3 years ago
I have to disagree there, debates like this one are vital because regardless of the "knowability" of god, the way of the master is asserting that god does exist, and all the rational response squad was doing was proving why ray and kirk are wrong, not whether god exists or not, just exposing the the terrible reasoning TWOTM is using to prove god.
HyrulianWarlord 3 years ago 3
@HyrulianWarlord I'll have to disagree with you there. These types of debates are'nt in the least bit vital. The Way of the Master people have their belief. The Rational Response people have theirs. Neither is going to change the others mind, and it's doubtful that their round & round back and forth would even convince someone who is teetering on the fence. One side MIGHT look like the winner because it gets more zingers in that get audience response, but that's about it.
themitch1966 1 year ago
they cut out dead time and went straight to their response. Besides, i just think that no matter how much you argue it, people are going to believe what they believe. I think that's what went through their heads, not that they didn't have an answer. They could argue as much as they want, but Brian and Kelly had no intentions of backing down, no matter what was said.
FuelJuice 3 years ago
I actually asked them on their YouTube channel about their, shall we say "creative" editing of the debate. I never got a reply. SHOCK!!!

But everything points to a beginning.
IGExpandingPanda 3 years ago
Everything points to a start of our current form of the universe, in other words, the big bang, but, so far as we know, the matter and energy which comprise the universe existed in the "cosmic egg" before the big bang, and so far as we know, always existed. Don't use the fact that there are question marks about the state of the universe prior to the "bang" as an excuse to make an argument from ignorance and state that "god done it." I'm sure we'll eventually figure out the natural events.
ChuckyJesus666 3 years ago
I would never propose any god did it. Only BS's explanation was a tad, well, vague and inaccurate. "I" understand that there is presently much speculation about pre-big bang, and whether the end of our universe, in it's present form, will be in fire (big crunch), ice (big gap), or total disassembly (big rip).
