@bosszeroboss; so … you're saying the body does NOT work in standing up using both feet/legs/quadriceps, or lift a child off the floor with your arms in unison form, or push your upper body off the floor with two hands/triceps/chest ?! Those my friend are fixed planes of motion. Jumping with two feet is a fixed plane of motion. You're quoting old boldybuilding scriptures without thinking of daily routine movements.
@bosszeroboss ; and how often do you jump with two feet in a different trajectory and not land with two feet? How often do you jump in a different trajectory using two feet to launch and not use both sets of muscles either in the setup, launch or landing [ if using both feet to land] ? hmmm. I'm not quoting 1970's opinions just thinking about running and playing around and seeing how muscles work.
I have had my Soloflex for 21 years. I use it for SuperSlow workouts now. The free weight adaptability, plus "built in spotter" really make it the optimal exercise machine.
I'd agree but I don't like that it only works your muscles in a fixed pattern, most machines at the gym have the same draw back too, so I'm mot just crapping on the Soloflex. There are features that I think were reall ahead of their time though and Soloflex will hold an imoprtant place in history.
I know who she is. Keri Ardra, a bank examiner from L.A. She was one of the most dynamic women I've encountered. That's saying a lot...ha Jerry Wilson, founder/CEO Solofex.
in the 80s , soloflex , and nordic track were the hottest fitness machines on the market, i just aquired a soloflex on craigs list, it is still a sound piece of equipment.
I bought my first soloflex in 1988, I worked out on it for 2 years, i got big, and strong like bull!!! but I fell to peer pressure from my musclehead buddies, and sold the machine for freeweights. i always kicked myself , but i now have another soloflex, and Im loving it. i will never sell this one!!, Im buying spare weight straps on Ebay. LONG LIVE SOLOFLEX!!!
Well, you made a smart choice! I do my exercises now for health reasons and for the work I do (Hospice care, lots of transfers, lifting n pulling by myself, with no injuries to date)plus I want my husband and son to be proud of me taking good care of myself! Long live Soloflex!!!!!!
YOU GO GIRL!! LONG LIVE SOLOFLEX!!!if more amercans took the time to take care of their bodies, insteading or starving themselves, and taking pills, we would have far less work related injuries, and generally better overall quality of life in this country. good for you!!!
Hi, is this the one with Frank Zane? Does anyone have the one they showed in around 1987 with the kid posing. Then they showed the guy and girl demonstrating the exercises in a 30 minute infomercial?

The body doesn't work in fixed planes of motion as do machines like the Soloflex.
Although machines can give you some benefits, you're cheating yourself if you don't use freeweights and bodyweight exercises.

@Jaggabone
No, you're wrong. When you jump off two feet, do you jump at exactly the same trajectory through the same space? Of course not.
A machine works in one direction: its own, not yours.
You're quoting 1970s opinions about machines and their usefulness.
