  • All vegan women are so cool ...why?

'cause they are beautiful inside and outside!!!

great soul, great heart, great person!!!

    GO V-E-G-A-N!!!

  • Pledging to not eat turkey, as I haven't in 15 years! I am a pregnant vegan and totally healthy as well as my pre-born baby.

  • I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I think we should take action against cruel meat farming, many animals are kept in extremely unhealthy conditions for their whole lives.

I respect what you are doing here but I think to create more impact you should make videos on where people should get their turkey/ chicken from (free range, stress free farming... Yes, they do exist.)

It may not be exactly the point you are trying to make but it's a step in the right direction!

  • @BobdaLobsta I am going with you, stress FREE farming! No stress, no mad farmers, nothing to worry about when going on a hay ride!

  • @BobdaLobsta I believe that the first step it putting animals back on small farms where individual care is possible...

  • @BobdaLobsta That is a fantasy. There are 7 billion people on the planet; they will get what's common and cheap, not what's specially "grown" and costlier. There are videos showing actual animal torture by employees on organic farms; look up "free-range animal abuse" - here's one: watch?v=MNKps4yJQRc

Vegan is easy and healthy. The only humane meat would be lab grown, involving no animals, and you meat eaters should work on and welcome that.

  • Nice job, ProfoundVegan! and Happy no-murdered-turkeys Thanksgiving! I had Herbed Seitan, Wild Rice/Red Cabbage dressing, Olive Oil Mashed Red Potatoes, Butternut Squash, Miso Gravy, Miso Tofu Soup and an Apple/Pear 'turnover' type dessert. And no one had to die. Blessings!

  • i wanna see the tattoo chick naked

  • Ciddy, U da' bomb! Outstanding!!!

  • This is an outstanding video Ciddy. You can ignore all of the negative comments on this board. They come from people who will do anything to mask the guilt they try to repress for eating animals. If they can get people to agree that it's acceptable to eat animals, they will feel better about themselves. The tide is against them. The panic they display on the board is evidence of it. 20 years ago your video would have gone unnoticed by them. The Vegan Revolution is here.

  • Hello my dear Ciddy, thanks a lot for your wonderful Clip and your statement. No one Turkey has to die for a meal, you´re totally right, keep up with your meaning. My comment is linked and postet on my facebook page and this marvelous clip also... many greetings to you and all your beloved ones... Happy Thanksgiving.

  • @MaraKayserFan Thank you for your beautiful support in my efforts in trying to end animal suffering. =-)

  • Jeff61177 - I just feel sorry for you. You're on the page of a video that countless animal lovers are viewing and you're choosing to take away from the joy we are all feeling in watching it. It's a real shame, and I think you need to do some soul searching before you even consider replying again. This video is a simple, brave, beautiful challenge to people to reconsider how they view turkeys - and farmed animals altogether - and you are selfishly taking away from that. And why? I wish I knew.

  • @KissMeImVeganBlog Thank you for helping me educate the couple of people that are just on my page to frustrate people. I think there are only two ignorant individuals that will not change their Dark Age mentality. I am going to block them because they want to excite complacency.

  • @profoundvegan My pleasure! I love this video and will defend it and stand by it forever. :)

  • @animalabusinglosers8 im going to cut to the chase here, we are humans, top of every food chain in this world, if you feel guilty about it fine. i dont. i know that life means eventual death and i accept that. be it by old age or shark attack. if you are afraid of death and some strange way feel that your inevitable fate will be more comfortable because you didnt cause pain to other animals, fine but i think meat is natural and has no effect on my immortal soul.

  • Fantastic!!! Great job. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @euromixer120 Thank you for your beautiful support in my efforts in trying to end animal suffering. =-)

  • Wow, this is a little over the top. If you are trying to convert meat eaters, a discussion about why not eating neat is better for your health would be more effective than comparing a turkey to a family pet-that's just hilarious.

  • Here's an idea; maybe if we stop engaging jeff61177 and godwhatever they will pick up their toys and go home. Of course, they started it by coming here and picking these fights, so I doubt it but we can always hope. I find that when I am annoyed by something I do the intelligent thing and stay away from it. How about this, you stop replying to us and we'll stop responding to you? That way we can both be thankful. Besides, it's nearly Thursday, don't you two have some poor turkeys to slaughter?

  • I wonder what you morons would say to the fact that the US does not grow nor import enough vegetables to feed a vegetarian US of even 250,000 people. You more willing to see 100,000 people die than to see turkeys get slaughtered? Welcome to the grown up world with REAL facts and REAL problems. The nerve... little college kids who want everyone else to fix the world's problems while they watch videos on youtube and drive their parents cars on the government's roads... grow up.

  • @godwhatafatty

    Are you kidding?

If you would stop eating animals, which had to be fed with imported or self grown food, there would be more than enough land to produce vegetable for all the American people.

  • But I will not listen to jargon on the divine responsibility of human beings by assholes who think they understand the meaning of life because they've seen videos of the worst cases of animal abuse. That's like watching jerry springer and saying black people are stupid.

  • If someone wants to make the argument that a vegetarian or vegan diet, or at least something close to it, in most cases is healthier than the latter due to the fact that meat causes inflammation and it rots in your gut while is digests (requiring attention from your immune system), or that meat is expensive, or that industrial meat is poor quality and worse for you, then I'm all ears. But everyone here is too concerned about everybody's morals and feelings, so...

  • @godwhatafatty Meat does not cause inflamation or rot in your stomache. It leaves the stomache in 2 hours and you digestive system is well equipped to extract the many nutrients such as iron zinc and B vitamins from it. See, I just think this vegan thing is based on alot of myth and fuzzy wuzzy superstiotion.

  • If any of you are going to actually read something, please read this:

  • NIce video, reposting on fb / ms

  • I'm proud to be vegan and I will be cooking an all vegan dinner this thansgiving and every thanksgiving to come.

You know what I'm thankful for? Knowing that other people have the heart to refuse turkey too. <3

  • Animals are not people, stop assigning them with human qualities. Remeber you are a unique type of animal, a human, you need a balnaced diet to make your body grow naturally. Vegan diets lack alot of necessary nutrients and emotional qualities.

    Eat normal.

  • @jeff61177 It sounds like you are supporting Factory Farming which is also destroying the Environment and Peoples' Health

Here is what you are supporting:

*Metal buildings that confine animals indoors, with minimal room for normal behaviors and little or no access to sunlight and fresh air.

*Animals are mutilated to adapt them to factory farm conditions.

*Excessive waste created by large concentrations of animals IS polluting the air and water.

  • @profoundvegan I do not support that, I support small local farms where people make their living through animal husbandry, as they have for thousands of years. you are just so angry you don't take the time to read my posts before you start spouting off. nice script though.

  • @jeff61177 What you acknowledge as EATING NORMAL is supporting all this and more. Educate yourself before attacking people.

  • @profoundvegan Im not attacking, I think you are doing most of that. I am simply challenging your values.

  • @jeff61177 If you tried as hard to find ways to not increase suffering and support needless death as you did to be complacent and justify it some may not get so hostile. If you eat meat only for health reasons as you seem to claim, if proven wrong I doubt that you would change. Also, so you must eat a very minimal amount of flesh then already, maybe 1 serving a couple times a week, not likely.

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot But you have not proven me wrong, therefore I will continue to present valid examples for my point of view until you realize that much of the vegan philosophy is myth and superstition. Just think about all the "Vegan" products there are out there. If Vegan was such a natural and healthy thing why would people have to buy things like To-Furky and To-fu-Pups?

  • @jeff61177 People are addicted to cooked flesh so having veggie burgers and tofurkey makes the transition easier. They are not necessary, processed foods are not the best either, was never claiming that mock meats are health foods. Myth and superstition? If you eat meat not for taste, why not roaches, dogs and cats? What nutrients do I have difficulty getting? What vitamin supplements do I take? I take a multivitamin, the same as I took years ago when eating animals-its simply unnessary.

  • @jeff61177

Sorry, but you are wrong. Nobody needs to eat meat. Thousands of vegans proof this.

  • @natija08 You don't need to but you should, most vegans have horrible body chemistry, lacking omega 3, and key vitamins that are not imposible but very difficult to obtain in non meat diet.

  • @jeff61177 omega 3 can simply come in flaxseed oil. Just like you can walk, jog, bike we have more than one way of getting everything we need (without all the fat and heart stopping cholesterols) fairly easily today.

  • @jeff61177

You can get omega 3 by eating salad with flaxseed oil. With "key vitamin" you perhaps mean B 12 or D?

I supplement B12 and D (from a vegan source). And it's very good to eat raw food.

I think, every vegan is well informed about it.

  • @jeff61177 The question is not can they talk? Or can they reason? But can they suffer? And yes, they can. We are unique. We are unique in the fact that we can reason and talk. So with the imense intellect we are given, the difference between you and a vegan is that vegans CHOOSE NOT to use their supposed "higher power" to mutilate and consume animals needlessly. We CHOOSE NOT to kill them if they DO NOT need to die. So if you believe that being "normal" is being cruel, I pity you.

  • @MissSyntheticEcstasy When the whole world is free from starvation and poverty, I'll think about ending a turkeys suffering instead of feeding people. You see I value people a bit more than a turkey. The world is built on animals consuming other animals for nutrition and survival. Vegan IS unnatural, and very difficult to obtain the proper nutrition. Suffering? I live down the street from a turkey farm, trust me those birds are not suffering. Iam against huge poultry farms, those are cruel.

  • @jeff61177 Who defines what's normal?

  • Jeff - Have you even spent a significant amount of time with farmed animals who have been rescued? Unfortunately, until you have, you will have no idea how amazing, unique, and like humans these animals are. It's sad that you feel the way you do and that you heart is not open enough to experience the personalities on this Earth that are not human. I'm happy to say I will be vegan for the rest of my life because of people who think like you do - and hopefully change a few hearts in the process.

  • @jeff61177 what "nutrients" do we lack, stop being generic if you want to make a claim? We know dieticians (veganhealth dotorg breaks it all down if you want the details), doctors, athletes, body builders and many that have been veg for many generations. We also live longer on average. She seems pretty healthy as well, unlike most of our typical society. Since it was a comment rather than a question, next excuses?

  • @VeganMotorcyclePilot You seem to think you have prooven somthing there, I don't think so. I said It is much more difficult to get those nutrients without meat. I guess you like taking supplent vitamins. Proove to me that you live longer on average from being a vegan. there is no corolation between health and vegetariansism. My friend is vegetarian, he eats pizza, jelly beans, mozarella sticks, mac and cheese, etc he is far from healthy.

  • @jeff61177 "there is no corolation between health and vegetariansism. My friend is vegetarian, he eats pizza, jelly beans, mozarella sticks, mac and cheese, etc he is far from healthy."

We're talking about veganism, but thanks for reinforcing the point that cheese isn't healthy. Check out the trailer of Forks Over Knives on Youtube.

  • @jeff61177 Goodness gracious. What are the "human qualities" that are being assigned to animals? Ability to feel pain? Humans do have many fabulous abilities, including the ability to learn, reason, and read. Educate yourself about nutrition and about animals, and maybe you will retract your nonsensical statement.

And I can't even begin to decipher what you mean by, "Vegan diets lack alot (sic) of ... emotional qualities." What??

  • @jeff61177 Jeff - you've obviously never spent a significant amount of time with rescued formerly farmed animals. Because if you had, you would know that the qualities you selfishly call "human" belong to them too. I'm sorry your heart is not open enough to see that, and I will be a vegan for the rest of my life because of comments like this.

  • @KissMeImVeganBlog belong to them? or are assigned to them by you? the human is the most psychologically complex animal on the planet. We easily assign our own qualities and behaviors to animals. a cat who will snuggle with you one minute will eat your eyeballs out 5 min after you die. NO HUMAN would do this, animals are NOT human. meat is natural, vegan is not natural.

  • @jeff61177 Lest we forget......"There are no nutrients in animal-based foods that are not better obtained by plant-based foods". - T Colin Campbell, The China Study (Exception vitamin B12).

  • @euromixer120 better obtained? not likely.

  • Thanks for sharing your great video with us and I hope the humans who NEED to see this will take a look and start thinking WHY celebrating always means the bloodshed of the innocents that had a miserable life allready....

  • @steverooni99: well, if you watched this video and the only thing you can complain about is that shade of neon pink, then I'm assuming you agree with its message. Good for you.

  • @steverooni99 You know, I am fairly "traditional," no tats, business suits, lots of dresses; but I'm old enough to know that fashion trends change and we've come to have multiple fashion trends succeeding at the same time. Ciddy is a beautiful young woman to begin with and her style is very hip with a large segment of society. If you listened to what she had to say, you would know she's even more beautiful inside. I would love to know her and her style is no skin off my nose!

  • Lily is so gentle and sweet. No turkey for me!

  • thank goodness! I was afraid it was a recipe instead of promoting awareness. We've had our cashew nut roast going on 27 years now... cruelty free is the way to be!

  • @steverooni99

screw you she looks cute..........why do people have to sit and try to find something wrong with someone else, first thing, instead of letting them be themselves?

  • sweetheart I am a vegetarian too and I love you and Lily, BUT, PLEASE DON'T ADVERTISE TOFURKY.......that stuff is so grose.............ugh...........

Quorn (mycoprotein) IS FAR BETTER AND TASTY TOO...........that's Quorn.

If I was thinking of having a compassionate diet and someone turned me on to tofurky, I'd a. barf, b. run from the table and c. probably go back to eating meat or no meat substitute.

NUTS AND SEEDS AND BREADS WITH TEFF AND FLAX MEAL AND A LOT OF THINGS have protein...

  • especially portabello mushroom caps, with 180 percent Vit D.......as John Robbins would tell you, in his books, we all get too much protein from literally everything and it is the root cause of some diseases......SO WE DON'T NEED TO WORRY about a meat substitute or protein.........but, if you do......nuts, seeds, mushrooms, organic dairy......organic free-range nest eggs.....(not cage free warehouses)......it's hard to not get enough protein. Funny that's the first thing people think of when

  • Great video. Some of you obviously haven't seen Earthlings. Greed, lack of empathy and compassion for other species is so outdated.

  • Tofurky!? Seriously?! Why eat fake meat?? If you want to be a vegetarian then stick to it! Don't eat substitute meats because that says something right there. You CRAVE meat! It just seems hypocritical for a vegetarian to eat fake meat and a vegan to eat soy cheese.

  • @MichelleNolee You nugget. I don't eat meat because of the welfare to animals issue, not because I don't like the taste of meat, and if I choose to eat fake meat like quorn, I AM sticking to my vegatarian diet. Don't preach about what you don't understand - it just makes you sound STUPID

  • @ahorsecalledgavin WOW! Talk about verbal harassment! It's a free country and I can say what I want! Don't be soooo sensitive!! I don't agree with fake meat and I'm sticking to it! To each its own! I also don't eat meat or dairy but I also don't substitute with garbage processed foods either! Only all natural, REAL food for me! RAW, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds. And trust me, I understand more about health, veganism and animal welfare than you know! Next time watch out who you JUDGE!!

  • I'm going to have ham for thanksgiving now! thanks for changing my mind!

  • Why is it that when shown a different, animal-friendly way to eat, many meat eaters tend to resort to childish, sarcastic, nasty, or ignorant comments? My guess is fear; they fear the unknown or having their childhood beliefs toppled. Many kids avoid foods like peas and asparagus, but when they grow up, so do their taste buds; this is no different - a fear of the unfamiliar. Allow yourself to try something new and you will be pleasantly surprised. Having been a vegan for 20 years, I am constant

  • @veganguy1 I like the way meat tastes, that is why. keep your moral judgements to yourself thank you.

  • @jeff61177 I'm just stating facts; read em & weep. Plenty of things taste as good or better and won't end up killing either the animal or you. Apparently, you don't care much about their lives so maybe you do about your own. We are the most obese country in the world & animal products are a major reason why. Currently, more than 64% of US adults are either overweight or obese. Even if you're not obese, high cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes & high blood pressure.

  • @veganguy1 That's great, Im not obese, I have normal cholesterol, My chickens live a great life before i eat them. Im happy their happy, I have got news for you whatever you eat, one day you are going to die. Chickens cattle and fish were put here on earth to be eaten, If they weren't, they'd be predators. My point? Don't call me names and make judgments about my lifestyle because you think your choice is better. bye.Oh, and PS nothing tastes better than REAL meat.

  • @jeff61177

Who told you that chicken, cattle and fish were put on earth to be eaten?

A lot of humans eat predators like cats and dogs. What would you tell them?

Did you understand that vegetarians and vegans don't want to eat meat because of ethic reasons? They don't wont to be responsible for the cruel life and death of a pain-feeling so called farm animal.

  • @natija08 God told me, well that and common sense and a bit of science. The world is full of pain and joy, both are necessary for life to exist. trying to go through life without causing pain is like.......picketing for air on the moon.....foolish.

  • @jeff61177

    You talk to God?

You said: "Life without causing pain is like ..."

I think, you wouldn't like to be on the place the turkeys are, wouldn't you?

  • @natija08 I am not a turkey.

  • @jeff61177 Apparently your reading comprehension is about as bad as your attitude, as I haven't called you any names nor made any moral judgments about YOU. You are running but no one's chasing you. Guilt perhaps; I don't know. Given your animal logic, I suppose we could have been put here to be shark food; maybe you should go jump in the ocean, as I wouldn't want them to go hungry. I notice you are now busy arguing with many people; if we bug you so much, why don't you go away & leave us alone.

  • @veganguy1 I thought this was a dscussion forum? I am discussing my opinion with you and you seem to think I am attacking you. This video makes several insinuations that meat eaters are not moral people. that is my argument. Hos can you say you cause no harm or cruelty free or whatever when you honestly think you are "better" because you are a vegan? You are not better, and in fact i have made several valid points to show the contrary.

  • jeff 61177 your showing your immense ignorance",a dog is not the same as a dog?"typical corpse cruncher mentality and low iq. puke on you, great video ,if your not vegan /vegetarian get educated and eat compassionate! watch earthlings!!! wake the hell up!!!

  • @redsurfspider You know what I meant. The world stays in balance from animals eating other animals. If it's your perogitive not to eat animals than good for you. But don't make moral judgements about me because I do. I disagree with poultry farms in mass production. that is why I grow my own food and raise my own chickens. Also why I bought a free range turkey from a local farm. And NO a dog is not the same as a Turkey, rediculous!

  • @jeff61177

A turkey feels the same pain a turkey does.

  • @natija08 if killed humanely a turkey feels no pain. In the wild, getting eaten by a coyote is MUCH more painful. Got tell the coyote he should be a vegan too.

  • @jeff61177

and I hear if humanely killed a human feels no pain, so, why don't we shishkebob you and have you for thanksgiving.......do you volunteer?

  • @winitred000 (LMAO) Perfectly said Jeff:)

  • @winitred000 Because I am a sentient being at the top of the food chain and I can fight back, so try it. Chicken, Cattle and Fish were put here to be eaten by other animals by god or whatever, That's the way it has worked for millenia. If they weren't theyd be predators.

  • @jeff61177 I am smarter and stronger than a 5 year old....or a mentally challenged being. Does that make me better? We need to stop bullying those that can't win and help them. Grade 1 is over!!! Grow up!!!

  • @SU2340 that's life honey, it's called competition, without it the world would stagnate, It's not pretty, but it's pretty necessary.being smarter than a 5 year does make you better, would you like a 5 year old to operate on you or fly you to JFK? I think someone older and more intelligent would be better, don't you?

  • @jeff61177

Sorry, I wanted to say: A turkey feels the same pain a dog does.

But it seems to me, that you understood what I wanted to say.

A wild turkey lives a free life in the woods. It's possible that he's eaten by a coyote, but it's not sure that this is more painful.

Look at the millions of turkeys fed in large halls together with thousands of other turkeys. Their bones are too weak to carry the heavy body. Did you ever watch a video about killing turkeys? It's terrible!

  • @natija08 I disagree with huge poultry farms, I think those ARE cruel. thats why I raise my own chickens, grow my own garden, and buy locally raised beef etc. Also, when it's time to kill a chicken, you hang them upside down till they go to sleep, then you nip the vein in their neck and they don't even wake up. I think that is humane enough.

  • @jeff61177 - "Humane ENOUGH" ?!? Hanging them upside-down doesn't sound humane at all. And.... bottom line: killing is killing. There is nothing "humane" about killing.

  • @VeganaExPuta you really don't know anything about chickens do you.

  • @jeff61177 - Thought we were talking about turkeys but, if you want to digress, I'm cool with it. Volunteering at Animal Acres has taught me a great deal about LOTS of birds, INCLUDING both turkeys AND chickens. So, yes, I think I know quite a bit about chickens. So what's your point, anyway?

You sound pretty hateful, and out to argue, attack, preach, whatever -- no matter what. It's pretty pathetic... and absolutely pointless.

  • @VeganaExPuta I just don't like people making value judgements about my choice to eat meat.

  • @VeganaExPuta does a wolf eating a hare sound humane? no but it's natural and part of our world, Cuddly fuzzy creatures have a dark side too. everything isn't all roses and barbies.

  • @jeff61177

I saw a few videos about slaughtering chicken. They were hung upside down, but they didn't go to sleep. What was wrong with them? Some even tried not to get their head under water.

Do they perhaps realize what shall happen to them?

Researchers found out that chicken aren't that dump many people believe.

  • @natija08 the person doing it was inexperienced, but death is never pretty. Death is a part of life. accept it. grow up and realize that things need to die for new things to grow. fact

  • @jeff61177

In my opinion, you have to distinguish between the death of a wild and the death of a so called farm animal. The chicken or turkey (etc.) lives a very short life with so much pain and dies a cruel death. The wild animal has the chance to survive and grow old.

We humans cause so much pain - for only a mouthful of flesh.

  • Turkey is delicious, keep your to-furky. My turkey lived a nice life on a farm in NH and was killed humanely, Keep your yenta bull crap to yourself. A dog is NOT the same as a dog. That turkey would eat YOU if it was bigger than you.

  • A turkey tried to eat me once. :|

    Good video.

  • Forgive me I ate turkey last night :(

  • Really gr8

  • “Where there is a mind, there are feelings such as pain, pleasure, and joy. No sentient being wants pain: all wants happiness instead.” – Dalai Lama

  • We had a duck that we bought as a tiny duckling. I was amazed at how smart, loving and affectionate she was. We couldn't leave her outside by herself for fear of predators and we couldn't keep her inside forever. She stayed in the laundry room at night and she was so lonely. All she ever wanted was to be near me and have me pet her. We found a home for her on a pond with other brown ducks. My family and I really miss her.

  • I will NEVER eat turkey. 12 Years of being vegetarian and i love it.

  • i like her cleavage

  • Wonderfully done!!!! and shared with all of my friends too.....please keep up the great work for these and all animals...would you ever consider doing one similar for pigs or cows?? as factory farming is so horrific and your clip would appeal to a lot of young people....Bravo, you're wonderful! XXX

  • @joanand13 Thank you for sharing the knowledge and love of my video with others. You are part of the solution and you ROCK!!! xxoo

  • I liked it! People have choices in everything they do. A lot of information is known today that plant based diets are an excellent option for our health. I have many birds that people no longer wanted and they definately feel pain, feel fear, and have unique personalities!

  • I also stated that the life of an animal as precious to that animal as yours is to you and as far as I'm concerned, that's an indisputable fact.

The rest of your palaver (i.e. personal opinion, not fact) I'll leave to someone who has more time and patience than I do.

  • @Daffy8000 Let me ask you a question. If your house was infected with termites, would you just buy another one and let the termites live there? The life of a termite is just as valuable as that of a dog after all, says the Dalai Lama. You let mosquitoes bite you too? You know tofurkey is not organic. They sprayed POISON on the ingredients to kill bugs that eat it. What if someone sprayed poison on YOUR children's food?

You are not beyond help, but definitely beyond reasoning with.

  • @godwhatafatty - so I'M beyond reasoning with? I stated my case and I left it at that. You, on the other hand, are determined to keep this ridiculous argument going by sending your nonsensical rantings to my mail box. Clearly your comprehension skills are sorely lacking. Please re-read what I said and tell me in a clear, concise manner how it relates even remotely to termites, non-organic tofu or mice plagues and after that, kindly point out where I said I hate you because you eat meat.

  • @Daffy8000 So by logic, only life that you can cuddle is valuable. You've obviously never owned a farm WHERE THEY GROW VEGETABLES and deal with plagues of mice or locusts. Like you wouldn't poison them to save your business and the lives of the starving people in town.

What's the point of having "choice" if you're going to hate me if I eat meat? You can have your little esoteric vegan club. You'll die in 80 years anyway. See you in the ground.

  • The point is, godwhatafatty, that I don't HAVE to kill anything to survive. I am fortunate enough that I have the choice whether or not to eat meat and I choose not to. That I don't take the live of animals in order to survive (which I do just fine, btw), pleases me and if that upsets your He-Man Carnivore sensibilities, then too bad.

As for the "animals eat each other so why can't we?" argument trotted out by people of your ilk when they ENTIRELY miss the point...yes, well...

  • @Daffy8000 Now I get it. This video is for people that think we're the god-chosen race and that we're some kind of guardians of the weak. Humans are creative, i'll give them that. The wolves in the forest will tell you what I think of that theory. But... you know, it's ok for the wolves to tear you limb by limb. And I'm not allowed to do that because its animalistic, and we're not animals, we're the god-chosen race. Treating animals like lesser beings is built into your morals.

  • @godwhatafatty

Yes, we are animals, but we are animals which can think about ourselves and make a choice.

If you compare humans with wolves: Tell me, what is natural of living in houses in big cities, driving cars, using computers? If we were only animals, we would live in caverns in the woods, hunt rabbits with our bare hands and collect nuts etc.

As humans we can DECIDE not to kill animals for food because it's not necessary to eat meat.

  • @natija08 What the hell are you talking about?

You wanna sleep in the grass tonight when it's 20 degrees? It's unnatural for humans to live in cities? You think aliens made them do it? I want to know. No really, I want to know your definition of what natural human behavior is.

You think ants and termites don't live in enormous mounds? You think hamsters don't make elaborate tunnels for homes?

If you can decide to save the planet, turn your fucking computer off and save energy, zealous idiot.

  • @godwhatafatty

Wasn't it your argument, that we can act like wolves do?

    If not, I'm sorry!

I respect all wild and domestic animals and would never harm them. I admire the buildings of termites and the tunnel systems of hamsters. But would you do that as well?

I said, that we needn't eat meat and that we can decide to eat plants only.

  • @godwhatafatty

If you want to discuss, don't insult me. Insults are lousy arguments.

  • I'm not going to explain the complexity of why cars exist, or why we need them. You can figure that out on your own if you ever learn to appreciate your computer, stove, lights, water heater, and/or running water (and whatever you buy little charlie for christmas). The bottom line is they exist because we need them to stay competitive and stay alive. Someone built them, they use them, and repair them so they can eat.

You don't know what it means to be human, do you? The turkey won't tell you..

  • @godwhatafatty

To be a human means to me to be friendly to all living beings: plants, animals and humans.

What do you think, a human should do? Destroying lives and finally earth?

  • godwhatafatty - there's a great book out there called "Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows". You should check it out!

  • A great video!

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't eat turkey. I will never eat turkey as long as I live. By not eating turkey, I save a life, and for that I give thanks.

Why do humans assume their lives have more meaning and importance than other species. Don't you realise that their lives are all they DO have and that their lives are as precious to them as yours is to you?

  • @Daffy8000 Let me try to explain this as logically and non-aggressively as I can.

All mammals and fish on this planet live by taking life from something else. No mammal or fish eats solely mineral deposits. If you're not comfortable with this fact, go be a bacteria or a fungus. But as long as you're human, drop the "all life is just as valuable as yours" act.

  • @Daffy8000 Our existence on this planet is not to love everything around us, it's to survive. The only reason you could possibly view turkeys as something you never kill, only love, is the result of the human species' nature to manipulate the environment to insure that it survives. In other words, you are spoiled by the hard work of people like the entrepreneurs who started the meat industry. I know you won't agree with me, but you would if you studied economics.

  • Great video! You're both beautiful creatures! I'm planning on a 100% cruelty-free Thanksgiving this year.

  • I think the whole point is we don't have to kill to eat as humans. We are in fact herbivores, (look it up and see for yourselves), everything about us is "closely" aliegned plant eaters and "nothing" like carnivores, down to our teeth, jaws, and digestive system. I disagree, that this video as something, that in way or another has been around for sixty years. In the 1950s, little regard given to animals and any feeling they have. Today there are entire movements to have laws changed and society.

  • @stopthekillingmadnes Let me get this straight. Cats are carnivores, and if you feed them only vegetables, grains, and fruits, they won't live long. Conversely, humans are herbivores. We eat meat and we live just fine. Doesn't that make us omnivores? What's your reference for that?

And what's your reference for the 1950's public opinion? I can name you 2 books RIGHT NOW that were written in the past 40 years.

  • EAT SHRIMP I DO !

  • This is obviously an advertisement for Alicia Silverstone and Colleen Goudreau. Why else would she advertise modern books when there are tens of thousands of books that have been published in the past 60 years on the same subject? This was obviously filmed with something far more expensive than your average camcorder. Where did that money come from?

Sorry if I sound snappy, the title "The Kind Diet" insinuates that if you don't eat like the cute, healthy girl, you're a cruel person.

  • No Turkey for us! I'll share your video with my 1000 parrot pals on Facebook just as one of them shared it with me!

  • @louieIRN Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge and love with others!! You are part of the solution in ending animal suffering and environmental and health destruction. =-)

  • I can understand how we shouldn't eat turkey based off the idea that living creatures are being raised just to be slaughtered, but the fact that turkeys feel pain is... well, let's just say your cat likes to catch small rodents and play with them before they bite them to death. Your dog doesn't exactly kill its food humanely either. Of course, it's not immoral to take a wild animal, enslave its offspring long enough to domesticate them, and then force them to live in your home like toys.

  • @godwhatafatty Are you suggesting turkeys or certain animals don't feel pain? I didn't quite follow you with that suggestion.

  • @stopthekillingmadnes You're standing up for animals that kills each other anyway. How is this logical? Cats and Dogs and kill other animals and eat them, but we can't? Why? Who says so? YOU?

  • @stopthekillingmadnes Thank you for being the voice of logical reason. =-)

  • AWESOME video. And I LOVE that beautiful pit bull! ALL animals deserve better!
