You want to actually increase the spool up? Put a real 4 stroke carb with accelerator pump, not the 2 stroke carb you have on there. Without an accelerator pump your engine will just lag for fuel when you rip the throttle open.
Was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about putting a Lifan 140 into a ct110 postie? I'v been doing a bit of research and these engines seem to be the flavor for the posties..... has anyone got any links to point me in the rite direction in terms of install? on ebay as I speak looking at one for $475 and really wonna jump on it.
i had an inner rotor in my 125 it made soo much diffrence but i have been told the outer rotor are faster an much better because inner rotors will eventualy blow up on you. so i bought a 150cc performance engine with an outer rotor in it =P fast pitbike i have ever rode. also get twin dhz power pipes i got em they look nice as aye =P
hey man i got my motor in a couple days ago,i put the motor in and the carb clutch ect. but im not sure if im supposed to used the stock crf50 harness? im really lost on the wiring???
you should have changed the counter weight too... now you have a ligth rotor on one side and a heavy counter weight on the other side of the crankshaft... Very bad for the bearings...
what do you do when you put the oil cooler on im ordering a lifan 140 that comes with a oil cooler,do you have to fill the oil cooler up or do you add any oil? it probley wont get here for about a week thanks
Hey, I'm not 100% sure but you should be able to bolt it on and it should fill itself as the crank case has an air breather which should exhaust any air inside the oil system. If anyone knows any better please post it so we can all see. Cheers
@NicoVisions when you bolt the lines of the oil cooler to the motor and to the cooler the oil pressure runs the oil through the coolor, no need to put any oil in the cooler. make sure you oil lever is right, install the oil cooler then go run the bike for a couple minutes then check the oil again, maybe a little bit cause a small amount stays in the cooler
@07350zhr you should have ordered a lifan150cc performance engine with an air cooler and a new performance part called an outer rotor aparently there much faster like a 2 stroke on a 4 stroke =P
The performance gains are responsiveness not acceleration gains, but there are pros and cons to every performance mod you perform on your bike you just have to decide which one is more important to you.

They rev quick, but have no pull up the slightest of inclines you will even hear your engine revs drop, keep the standard parts as you will re-install them when you realise you IRK isn`t up to it anymore, good vid mate
this is 2 itfben those wires that run to no wear are the gear selector light if u have a netual light and a lcd screen that tells u what gear your in.. u dnt need it so if u ripped it out it wont affect your bike at all
no man i think your cool, the way you just pull in the clutch hold it flat lean back and just hold on man... its what gets me up in the morning...plus the way u threw that bike down at 3:59 seconds makes me wanna go out and hurt myself whooahhh!!!
thing is the wires that it had coming off it didnt seem to actually connect ot anything at the other end but ran up the bike next to the wires from the original stator plate, towards the CDI but it didnt coneect to anythign only the wires form the stator plate did.
In the 140cc lifan motor i had no use for it. The wires and switch mechanism you speak of are run directly off your selector fork shaft. I'd assume it could be related to the old electric start motors to prevent you from starting it in gear, but dont worry about using them for the inner rotor kit if you dont have an electric start. see how you go mate...
ok at 2.10 what is the bit called about the front sprocket? the little round coin sized black thing with a silver/gold clip looking piece of metal going across it which is held by the screw at the bottom left of the metal strip? REALLY need to know because mine has wires comign out of it and i have not put an IRK kit on my pit and have taken that bit off (but still have it) but duno if i need it.
i bought one of these rotor kits for a lifan 125cc engine and it works great apart from when you put more than 1/4 throttle on from idle as it cuts the engine out...any suggestions?
sounds like your engine is running rich to me, thats when the motor gets too much fuel at once and bogs out a bit causing your motor to stall. Speak to your local bike shop and they'll help you tune your carby up to scratch
I need to replace my stator plate. do you recommend a standard plate and flywheel (large) or a race stator plate and flywheel (smaller and lighter flywheel) (inner rotor kit?) £20 for standard £25 for race. any advice would be great, the sooner the better.
Hey, I think the standard rotor kit is a good idea if you are a beginner rider or if you intend to teach people how to ride on your bike. Throttle response is more placid and bottom end torque is retained due to the larger rotor weight.
On the other hand the lighter rotor kit is good for a rider who can keep a bike reving higher in the rev range. It has increased throttle response, but you may experience a small loss in torque, Not the best for steep uphill riding.
wouldnt putting a lighter irk in make the 140 engine brake even worse, ive got a stock 140 with just a performance cdi and it engine brakes pretty bad.
Yeah its a great idea to drop your oil before performing the upgrade. Warm up your bike for 5 minutes turn it off let it sit for a few minutes and then drop your oil. If you don't do this, oil will piss out of your engine case as soon as you remove the rotor pickup backing plate. good luck mate
hey mate check out ebay for your rotor kits like mine roughly ranging from $40 to about $80. I'd suggest buying one with the lighter oil slinger to balance up the other side of the motor. enjoy!!!

yeah mate you'll need a gear puller with slim claws on it to take off the old rotor and it is preferred to use an impact driver to secure the new rotor. Have fun mate enjoy
Well the kits are relatively easy to install just follow the wiring diagram and you will be sweet. If you perform this mod you are effectively lightening one side of the motor, if you lighten one side of the motor you must lighten the other side too. This is where the lighter oil slinger comes in, failure to upgrade the oil slinger can result in a twisted crankshaft. Look out!
