Wow, don't know what version this is... Probably Xbox, but the Wii version is so much harder. Right out of the gate, the guy is shooting the wave of static blasts - 8 at a time. In this video, the guy doesn't start shooting them until a third of his health bar is depleted. Plus, he only shoots 4 static blasts at a time here. And after 2 assaults, he stops and starts beating around the bush. In the Wii version, all he does is shoot static,'period.

Something like that happened to me too. But I got to the end of HOTD 2 and 3 on my first try, and was killed by the final boss when he had less than half life left! I only got to play a little 2 on arcades (with my bro, didn't even manage to get through stage 1 :)) Once 3 on Danmark (the costs for 1 credit were way too big) and a lot of 4 (Couldn't beat the 3rd boss :)) I must be the only one in the world like that: Get to the end in 1 shot, get killed by final boss. Just my luck!
