So basically, it's safe to say that you should learn each word with it's respective article and not just assume which gender to put with it.

What part of Germany are you from? I visited Munich once (well, I think it was actually a suburb of Munich). I have a couple of friends from there.

Thanks for the video! I'm still trying to pronounce the "chen" at the end of some words which I find quite difficult.
For example, the "chen" at the end of brauchen is pronounced differently from Mädchen or München correct?
