  • i hate hawks

  • Good idea containing them to a raised bed too because they just keep spreading, when you drive past old homesteads in late summer and see large areas of tall yellow flowers that is Jerusalem artichokes . They store very well in the ground over winter so they can also be harvested early in the spring.

  • I've wanted to grow some, but I have been hesitant because I've heard that they can escape your planting area and become a nuisance. I'll be very interested to see how they do. Thanks for the video.

  • @72542 yes this is what i read to..i have the boards down about 4 inches i am hoping that will do

  • oh my goodness, that dog is so cute!

  • @MIgardener thanks

  • Never grew or ate any of those. Your soil sure looks good. Should be able to grow anything in there.

    Regards, Gary

  • @garygardens thanks...a lot of years working that soil

  • You got to train Petey to use a trowl and you will be all set.

  • Cool. Where did you get them at . I'm always looking for something new to grow. ( I'm still waiting on a rabbit vid.)

  • @hriding14 got them from gurany's ..still looking into the rabbits....soon

  • cute, patient doggie! My dogs are in pretty much all of my videos too. Jerusalem Artichokes (Sunchokes) are so good. I eat them raw, thinly sliced. To me they taste like a hybrid between a potato, a water chestnut and mild carrot. I just started growing some too, I guess they are native to North America and were a big part of the early settlers diet.

  • Two questions please. Are you wearing a mic because the sound is superb? Audio is an issue with my camera so I've just ordered a new one but I'd get a mic too if I knew what to ask for. And, what do you think of the Muck boots now that you've had them a while?

    Thanks and Best Wishes, Brendan.
