Good idea containing them to a raised bed too because they just keep spreading, when you drive past old homesteads in late summer and see large areas of tall yellow flowers that is Jerusalem artichokes . They store very well in the ground over winter so they can also be harvested early in the spring.
I've wanted to grow some, but I have been hesitant because I've heard that they can escape your planting area and become a nuisance. I'll be very interested to see how they do. Thanks for the video.
cute, patient doggie! My dogs are in pretty much all of my videos too. Jerusalem Artichokes (Sunchokes) are so good. I eat them raw, thinly sliced. To me they taste like a hybrid between a potato, a water chestnut and mild carrot. I just started growing some too, I guess they are native to North America and were a big part of the early settlers diet.
All that waiting and you didnt throw Petey 1 rock!! LOL Poor lil guy!! LOL Man you got some good lookin soil in those beds!! Mine is gettin better but I gotta keep addin compost and manure each year! The soil out where I put my garden was just yellow clay...it sux!! LOL Holler at me later!
Two questions please. Are you wearing a mic because the sound is superb? Audio is an issue with my camera so I've just ordered a new one but I'd get a mic too if I knew what to ask for. And, what do you think of the Muck boots now that you've had them a while?
i hate hawks

Never grew or ate any of those. Your soil sure looks good. Should be able to grow anything in there.
