What I meant by Scout is the Marine Corps Scout/Sniper. Extra weeks of training in the Corps for a greater emphasis on field-craft, camouflage and marksmanship. The ARMY doesn't do the extra training, so ARMY snipers aren't equipped with the Scout designation. Only the Corps 0317's have it.

There is no "elite" snipers. They are all trained the same and are all equally effective in combat...As long as the Batt CO's know what to do with them.

@ihaveairlockers yeah he over did it on the black. it is very easy to get carried away while painting a face. but black is not a natural nature color , it is only found in shadows. like he said though you want to make the areas that light will hit dark and make the shadow areas of the face light. But if your hole face is black with brown spots on it your face kind of sticks out because in the woodlands dark spots draw attention.

This camo job is terrible I'm sorry. This is like 1960s and 1970s type application. From the 1990's on face camo has been shift more to disruption and more recently stamp application of fractal patterns have been employed to break of the human form and stop anthropomorphic target recognition. This is...well...too shiny, too much and not applied with variation of tone in mind.

Sorry but even that camo you used atill shines and is very reflective. You can see it very well on his forehead and cheeks. Also, when you get hot and start to sweat. that type runs off. U?se the military stick version and have a lighter. use the ighter to make it soft. This is how we put it on in the miltary and it is a non reflective and does not come off when you sweat.
the black is used as part of "breaking up" the face. it adds a certain randomness to the big green blob that serves as the base. The brown is obviously useful because of everything that is brown in nature. However this guy used way too much black and completely contradicted the outline he explained in the beginning.

i think as for airsoft and paintball, camo is not the top worry, with the ranges you are dealing with, you are gonna see someone. especially because you know they are out there.
I got nothin fully against how they camo themselves. But its almost liek a face painting session. All u need to do is if ur using civilian paint in the box thing all u need is put three fingers one in each different camo and just press down those fingers on the face and wipe downwards. Camo paint is just for breaking up your outline. Three quick dabs and thats all it really takes.

1) ALL the skin has to be covered, including the hands, lower arms, neck and head.
2) Camouflage is for making things look flat and featureless while blending into a 3D environment. Light colours on dark spots and dark on light spots.
3) Cam paint should be put on by your partner.

ps, you can always tell professional soldiers by the cam-job.

Let's make this easy.
1) High spot , make it dark
2) Low spot, make it light
3) All skin areas covered including well under the clothes. When you move, your clothes move. Cam up your skin too.
4) This video has the right idea but he went too far and he ended up with a black face....

@ihaveairlockers yeah he over did it on the black. it is very easy to get carried away while painting a face. but black is not a natural nature color , it is only found in shadows. like he said though you want to make the areas that light will hit dark and make the shadow areas of the face light. But if your hole face is black with brown spots on it your face kind of sticks out because in the woodlands dark spots draw attention.

This camo job is terrible I'm sorry. This is like 1960s and 1970s type application. From the 1990's on face camo has been shift more to disruption and more recently stamp application of fractal patterns have been employed to break of the human form and stop anthropomorphic target recognition. This is...well...too shiny, too much and not applied with variation of tone in mind.

Sorry but even that camo you used atill shines and is very reflective. You can see it very well on his forehead and cheeks. Also, when you get hot and start to sweat. that type runs off. U?se the military stick version and have a lighter. use the ighter to make it soft. This is how we put it on in the miltary and it is a non reflective and does not come off when you sweat.

the black is used as part of "breaking up" the face. it adds a certain randomness to the big green blob that serves as the base. The brown is obviously useful because of everything that is brown in nature. However this guy used way too much black and completely contradicted the outline he explained in the beginning.

black dosent camo not even at dark think it in shadows your green camo is darker and youre brown too if you ask me why specs ops use full black uniform it is beacose black is one of the depest colors tht represents death ect in our minds and if you see a 2black thing" looking at you, you will like go on shook at least 5 miliseconds and those miliseconds guive an advantage to close combat quarters i personaly play airsoft and y do not use black its more i replace it with brown thx

i think as for airsoft and paintball, camo is not the top worry, with the ranges you are dealing with, you are gonna see someone. especially because you know they are out there.

I got nothin fully against how they camo themselves. But its almost liek a face painting session. All u need to do is if ur using civilian paint in the box thing all u need is put three fingers one in each different camo and just press down those fingers on the face and wipe downwards. Camo paint is just for breaking up your outline. Three quick dabs and thats all it really takes.

he has put way to much cam on that guy tho and the cam cream is in to bigger patches; it should be less and more frequent random shapes. not big blotchy patches.
also, black is commonly mistaken for its camouflage purposes, its only useful in the dark or where there are lost of shadows - he has way o much black on him.

Alot of what this guy said was valid.
1) ALL the skin has to be covered, including the hands, lower arms, neck and head.
2) Camouflage is for making things look flat and featureless while blending into a 3D environment. Light colours on dark spots and dark on light spots.
3) Cam paint should be put on by your partner.
I tend to agree with most of what this guy said.
But he made his partner's face too dark.
ps, you can always tell professional soldiers by the cam-job.
