  • indeed chuck norris lushed his toilet !!

  • this video is so old why say its from the canadian storm?

  • poor guy, if i was him i wouldn't have gotten out of my truck to see the damage of what the manhole cover did until i knew it was safe.

  • See!? Plumbing super powers do work! Man, maybe that was the work of like, a plumbing super villain or something! Then they'd need me to stop him! Cause if there's one plumbing thing I'm good at, it's making the water stop flowing.

  • WUTUFUCK!? how does that even happen??

  • Its old faithful!

  • those drivers were still hauling it through that crap haha

  • At 0:17, the sudden stop....would the insurance company believe it?

  • WTF this is in Calgary I saw this a couple of months ago and thought nothing of it I thought it was somewhere else.

  • For several secs it looked like a guyser.

  • free carwash!

  • I love how most of the drivers don't even try to slow down and they try to power through the water at like 80mph.

  • wow

  • The result of the infamous, half-time Superbowl flush!

  • What the heck is that?

  • Yeah that would be about my luck, Exept I would be on a motorcycle.

  • water anyone?

  • i got to stop peeing so hard man

  • lol i remember this storm and that day

  • holy shit!!!! to much water preasher!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!

  • haha that car didnt come out the other side lol when it got huge

  • chuck norris flushed his toilet

  • lol!!!!

  • its like vomiting water lol.

  • damn that's crazy...if this is bowtrail SW, i must live around here when this happened!!!

did you see at :16? some guy drove into the explosion and never came out the other side...i feel bad for that person lol

  • omg someone somewhere has fart problems

  • how did this happen join us after the break to find out!

  • This was on bow trail .

  • Holy crap that was a crazy storm. I'm currently uploading a video~

  • Cool, I'll go check it out.

  • I was one of the emt's that responded to this call, it was Calgary and history maker2001 is right it was Bow trail

  • Almost like diet Coke and Mentos - except 300 times larger!

  • wow this happen in Calgary??

  • woow that was quite some pressure there

  • Not Calgary at all... there are no covers that big within the city. Plus i saw this on one of those video shows on TV and it was somewhere in the states.

  • Yes it is. I live in Calgary, that's on Bow trail I think.

Right now, 2:14 Am, August 3rd, we're getting a crazy storm. Crazy winds, amazing sheet lightning and torrential down pour. I was sleeping and thought someone was breaking in, but it was our umbrella outside that slammed against the door.

  • i live in calgary as well NW reigon (silver springs) the weather is pretty intense right now. Earlier the wind was 100kmh

  • Yeah Man. I woke to it aswell. It was intense here in citadel, I thought a tornado was coming or something broken my window in the basement to.

  • Yeah I'm in Oakridge and it was just as bad.

  • Yeah SW of Oakridge here.

  • oh you live near the place that the water sewers exploded? how did that happen?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh ya, at 0:20 , it looks like that white car went sideways. XD

  • Dude, I used to live om calgary, and I dont quite think that happened. I havent seen sewer caps that big. we rarely got storms that produced that much water, though they got pretty big. Deerfoot mightve had some places like that, though in the background it looks more like McCloud Trail.

  • man that guy in the truck got OWNED

  • @Menhim21 damn, the sewer cap landed right in front of him. I bet it sucks to be that driver...

  • @R3MUS2007 it landed on the hood of his car not in front of it. take a closer look at the footage...

  • @mbharwood Dang I think you're right. Feel sorry for that dude. Bet he was like wtf?

  • @R3MUS2007 yeah i would be freaking out

  • WTF!!! I'll bring a life-saving floating device if i ever use this highway (trail) in Calgary!

  • This isn't Calgary at all. it's I-35W in minneapolis, MN. I lived a block from this spot when it happened.

  • i am pretty sure its calgary, it happend in 1999 . at glenmore trail.

  • Thats definitly Calgary, although I thought it was Bow Trail.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!

  • I don't want to fall in there ^^

  • ph1lk

I think it isn't canalisation with shit and etc. but with water from rain taht came from cities

  • I kinda feel sorry for the dude with the truck. Hope the city or his insurance company covered the accidental damages. I mean really, who expects to have their car beaned by a flying sewer cap?

  • You can they didn't see THIS as a possibility when the designed the water management system.LOL

  • so much shit must had come out of that hole :D

  • Oh My! That's not good..

    Wendy

  • Man, it's like the street started to throw up! When and where was this? I don't remember seeing it in the news or anything...

That's hilarious, though. I love this city. I actually do.

  • Well, timestamp says July 3, 1999. Or March 7, 1999. I'm not sure how the Canadians write dates.

  • we write the dates the same way everyone else does lol

  • imaginee going under that in a ferrari

    OMG PUT THE ROOF UP!!!!

    ITS TAkING TO LONG,STOP

    THEYRE RIGHT BEHIND US,I CANT

    OMG NOOOOOO!!!

open the door, let some of the water out

  • Ouch! :s

  • I just laugh at how people drive through it like it's nothing. Even after it was erupting for like 10 seconds people were still driving through the water at full speed!

It reminds me of the a storm chase videos where they're videoing a monster tornado crossing the highway and cars are driving right towards it, completely oblivious. What's wrong with people?

  • 0:16-0:17seconds you could see the truck hit the manhole. That must suck

  • u can see the man running while its exploding haha

  • This is absolutely calgary which has its sewer cap exactly in the middle of the streets. That's stupidity man. Not only these caps are dangerous at rainy times but they also fuck your car by jumping on them through out the year.

  • That is f'ing insane!

  • i would have sued and been a made man....set for life

  • i don't think that guy got back inside his car in time

  • Not Calgary... Did not have any precipitation on 7/3/99 to support something like this. If it took place in the United States it could have been Wausau, WI, Albany, NY, or Syracuse, NY. Those are the only mid to large size cities I could find that had heavy amounts of rain on the night of July 2-3, 1999.

  • Man, you are a serious weather geek.

  • Yep... It could have been Minneapolis like some other commenter said. I was looking at the reported data. Summer storms such as these can be very local. So it could drop 2 inches in a very local area and not be 'officially recorded'.

  • Yeah that definatly wasnt Calgary.

  • That is definitely NOT Calgary.

  • jesus christ

happy washing to the cars that pass by

  • It's raining SEWERAGE! Hallelujah!

  • Get the plunger!

  • muy sarpado

  • lol you stupid north american drivers will drive through anything cause your too busy talking on your mobile phones and listening to nsync.

  • Bitter?

  • Yeah I was wondering why almost no one slowed down, except for like one car. Morons.

I'm from North America, btw. ;-)

  • Little harsh, but I hear ya...

  • cool i live in calgary!i actually saw it,well after it exploded.......

  • WTF

  • You are correct its Minneapolis. On 35W near East 35th Ave. its done it before in 1997. Mn/DOT bolted the lid down. i heard though it happened before and the bolts were ripped off.

  • That road is way to nice to be in Calgary! lol

  • Too nice? I'm guessing you've never been to Calgary. Half of the highways have been repaved within the past 2 years alone.

In any case, this is definitely not a Calgary road. People are claiming it is only because of the 2007 storm that flooded so many roads, and popped sewer covers all over the city.

Also, I'm pretty sure the lanes are too close together to be a Canadian road (Canadians have different regs, due to frequent snow and ice in the winter).

  • Highways?? Like the #1 (16 th)or #2 (deerfoot) those are the only highways in Calgary. Last time I was on both of those roads (today) they were crap.

  • are you kiding me, i mean i'll give you 16'th cuz it's still being widened but deerfoot was repaved all summer, i know i was caught in the traffic jams like everyfucking weekend during the summer

  • I laughed so hard lol

  • Does it matter where the hell it is or how old it is? It's still cool as hell...

  • I guess it's Minneapolis

  • Interstate 35W in Minneapolis

  • @LUCKYLOONIE yup in Calgary, Minneapolis...

  • @LUCKYLOONIE what do you have against minneapolis???

  • watch this in case you don't believe me....

    youtube . com /watch?v=Hs9kUDaJBPg&mode=related&search=

  • Ok, seriously, THIS IS NOT CALGARY. I SAW THIS VIDEO POSTED ON YOUTUBE ALMOST 6 MONTHS AGO!! First of all, look at the date on the video - which may or may not be real, but besides that some ass started emailing i around claiming it was Macleod Trail and Glenmore, some other ass was claiming it was Deerfoot Trail at Memorial Dr.. so yeah. Hey, maybe you are the ass! Don't be fooled.
