Am making my own fur suit(my first one!). Mines a tiger as well, and I'll need to paint the poor dear shortly. What paint is that your using? Acrylic? I don't own a airbrush so I'll be doing this by hand. I had one person (not a fursuiter) suggest using the dyes and spray paints used on fabric to color my suit...is that a good idea? I mean, i don't want to have the color wash out of her or bleed all over the place the first time I get caught out in the rain!
I didn't know dry brushing was that simple. I thought airbrushing was the way to go for all the "big" fursuit makers, but I'm thrilled to know that you just painted on these beautiul stripes. Thanks so much for this! I learned a lot <3
does the fur stay of nice quality after air brushing ? or is it easy to mess the fur up by getting it stuck together or some other catastrafies that may befall the fur?
@Dawni32 Most eyes are made out of plastic palette's. Not the ones with the flat platform but the white ones (doesn't know what they're called x3) with the little round holes. Those are used usually for follow me eyes, or atleast the easier way. You can cut out the hole and make sure it's round. Then cut out another hole in the middle, thats what you see out of.
I know can appreshiate(sp) how much work goes into these heads! And this is why I love watching people work, you find how much time and effort it took to make something like this!
I just have one question, if it gets dirty how would you wash something like this?
You probably hear this often, but you have such an originality that it totally throws your competition out of commission. You put in so much passion into your hard work you make me want to own a fur suit. Keep up the good work and much success.
One is a slicker brush and the other a metal-toothed comb. You can get them at any pet store. Yes, brushing helps break up clumps of paint and keep the fur soft.
Just...beautiful.. :)

Those eyes are very, very pretty. Can you somehow see through them, or is there a different way to see, like through the mouth?

is there specific brushes (that your cobing the tiger with) that you have to do, and it is neccesary to brish them after painting?
also were can you find some good airbrishes? =]
btw your tiger is albosultely goregous!

blue eyes are owned by albino tigers, not orange ones, they have green or brown. It depends of the sub spieces.

Your work is truly amazing. Your heads look very durable too.
Did you use regular paint for the stripes?
AutumnsBane 3 years ago
I used waterproof india ink. It works best for black because it's very dark while being thin enough to not clump on the fur or clog an airbrush.
Beetle91 3 years ago
god i wat a fox lik that ^^
