Sabash!!! what a simple and interesting narration of the ragas. Madam,Please continue this good work as long as possible and not only for the present listeners, but it will be very useful for the future generations to understand the ragas in a very simple way.Hats off to Jaya TV & isaipayanam.
The volume level on this clip is 10 times higher than the rest of this series... so you follow from a previous clip to this... watch out...volume in this clip can blow your ears off if you are wearing earphones...dumb and dangerous in my opinion. She's great as usual...
I very much like the intent behind these videos that introduce certain ragas to the community and I think these videos are very much useful for the Carnatic music like me. I do appreciate for that effort. However, I have some criticisms as well. I know Charulatha can sing in tune with a sruthi box. May be she needs to use a sruthi box when doing these videos so she stays in tune. She wanders off so much trying to do this extempore. Hopefully this suggestion will be appreciated by her crew!
Charulatha Mani is performing Isai Payanam as full-length concerts in Chennai over the past year. Ragas are presented in detail. Seven such concerts have been released as DVDs by Giri Trading. For online ordering see Charulatha Mani's website.
Good job, Charulatha. :-)
