@smudge1108 actually, its okay if they eat the bones and the raw flesh. Since dogs are born to be natural carnivores, its actually healthy (unless you feed them the meat 24/7. Too much is never good) :) But i can see where you get your point :P
I have a small, 5lb chihuahua/pomeranian aka "pomchi", and thought of getting him started on raw. I looked at his size and thought 'Oh Boi' this may be a challeng since he eats like a finicky bird. Well, i gave him his first pork neck the other day and he turned into the tazzmanian devil! Just invision this whirl wind of fur going crazy on the meat and in minutes the bone was bare and he looked up at me, standing over the almost gone bone, as if saying, "My precious!!!" LOL!!!
You have one beautiful dog on your hands. It looks like a Samoyed... or is it just a white malamute? Either way, thanks for the video. It's very interesting to see things they do that go back to their roots.
@jesirose2 cute dog XD lol. and also, not to offend u, i think u should lay off the chicken since it has alot of growth hormones, beef is good XD if im sry if im wrong
LOL You're nuts catsaqqara. You have no idea. She lived with cats for 2 years and never once tried to attack them. Sadie's a big wussy. Eating meat is not the same as killing. Do you want to kill chickens all the time? Or are you a vegetarian.
@jesirose2 Yeah I saw your other videos and you need to do some more research. Dogs should only eat ground egg shells because it can tear their internal structures. wild animals leave the egg shells behind. And if you say to yourself she fine, your ignorant.
@catsaqqara I feed raw whole rabbits, chicken, quail, etc and my dogs (German Shepherd, Boston Terrier, Bichon Frise/Poodle) don't view our cats or ferrets as food. Unless you're giving your dog a rabbit that's alive, kicking and screaming then there's a good chance it'll view other kicking and screaming animals as food. But that's pretty inhumane and expensive so I doubt you'd do that unless you're some rich sicko.
She took it off the towel a few times. After that first time, I realized the towel was silly. I put the food on the ground, and when she was done, hosed the area off, and threw some cleaner on every now and then. Most of the time she eats out of a bowl inside, but this one was too big.
The only way they'll get over weight is if I feed them too much, and that's easy to sort out, I just have to feed them less!
And they already act different. They're happier, more energetic, more alert, more interested in what's going on around them... And they can't wait to eat their breakfast in the morning! Their teeth are pearly white, their skin is clear.
You wait until your dog has tooth and gum problems at an early age and then you'll see what I mean!
I've been raw feeding my dog for almost a year no and have never had a problem with worms, and I don't use dewormer! My 4 month old puppy was weaned onto raw and hasn't had any worms (other than the ones he got from his mother at birth).
If you're worried about worms then freezing any raw meat for a month kills all parasites in the meat. Hey presto, no worms!
I never heard of any who use dewormer! for puppies and you keep on feeding your dog raw food but dont forget I told you what it will do so when your dog start to act diffrent and get over weighted at a early age then you will see what I mean
@TheGameBreedPit Dogs don't act differently on raw (and if they do, it's usually in a positive way) and they'll only become overweight if you're feeding them a truckload of food...
She seems to be enjoying it. Thanks for the website link! I don't feed raw (yet) due to my parents probably not liking it too much, however, I would like to feed a raw bone once a week to keep the tarter off as suggested by a friend. Any suggestions? I've got a mixed breed about 38 pounds.
I bought the rabbit from prey4pets and it came "dressed". Sadie has never eaten fur and I didn't know if she would want it that way. I have a few furred rabbits frozen for later. But I thought for her first one, just meat would be easiest.

@BokuNoHoshii She's an American Eskimo, much smaller, about 20 lbs. They're related to the Pomeranian.

She's acting as a wolf would in the wild. Very protective of her prey. :)

I want to feed my dog raw but this is sick, I wouldn't want my dog to view other pets as food.
btw wheres the skin? wolves don't skin their prey before eating it.
catsaqqara 1 year ago
How is it sick? What do you want to feed yours, raw veggies? I've had animals as pets and I feed raw. A rabbit bred for meat is not a pet rabbit.
The rabbit came pre-skinned from the seller.

Every breeder I know worth their weight uses a dewormer. Every vet will deworm a puppy. It has nothing to do with raw food.
