But they have a very twangy, screechy sound, which makes them not so good on clean, from what I have heard. Also the distorted tones sound muddier than other pickups.
@LittleEmoBoy001 it depends on the wiring and the cleans are really nice (i had the pleasure too try a Epiphone casino with Gibson dog ears ). But each guitarist has his own tone he likes. I might love p-90s you might like Emg's more or may be some Pearly Gates :)
I actually like the clean sound that comes from new gibson studios, I don't remember what they are called though. But part of that has to do with the shape and quality of the wood, not to mention weight of the instrument too.
i recently got a stagg les paul goldtop i want to put a bigsby on it but i think the original tailpiece holes will show and i cant match that gold top to fill them and im worried about tuning problems with the tremolo any feedback?
I want to see the les paul with bigsby better, just to see what happens to the original "holes" in the body. and i speak spanish, and a little english
As far as I can tell bigsbys do not effect the sustain. Not enough for people listening you to notice the difference between a les paul with a bigsby and one with out any ways.
What you are playing there sounds like it is in the style of Franny Beecher. Wondering if you know how to play "Rock A Beatin Boogie" by B Haley and His Comets. If you do would you mind doing a video here of your playing it. Curious how close the tone is of your guitar to Franny's '54 Les Paul. I know it won't be exactly the same since he had flatwounds and I think you have rounds and he had an Alnico V in the neck but it might be close. Also depends on what
Nice going. Deke's got some wicked lines. I reckon you nailed it.

Does your LP stay in tune very well with a bigsby on it?

Nice job at showing off how well you can fret strings, but your timing was off and the flow wasn't quite there.

I get the feeling p90s are only good for blues.

The holes will show through a little.
And if you use the bigsby correctly it shouldn't effect tuning or give you any more feedback then normal.

luchorojo93 2 years ago
The holes will still be there. Only the edges of them stick out from under the bigsby though. And you can fill them.

nice how many guitars do you have I can see at least two cases behind you
