What Ernie mentions about missing his own bed, his Rubber Duckie and Bert and all is typical of any child who spends time away from home; particularly for the first time. I don't know if this is Ernie's first time being away from home but his reasons for coming home early I'm sure are an echo for many. Great segment.
I just recently watched the whole five-part saga of Big Bird at Camp Echo Rock, and it's a shame this clip wasn't part of it. It would have worked perfectly. Which episode did this come from?
Does the name Winnewonga sound like any other name to anyone else?
That's one of the great things about the site; since they label videos under "current" and "classic" headings, any character can appear (or be mentioned)!
Wouldnt they be the perfect couple!

Bert is surprised when Ernie came in. He probably wants him away from another week. LOL

I wonder if Ernie purified himself in the waters of Lake Winnewonga.

I find it an absolute shame they couldn't re-use this after Mr. Hooper's passing (unless they dubbed over Ernie's line).

Ah nuts, I thought he was gonna pull out all the weapons and explosives he got from that training camp.

No. It was a camp trip and Ernie wanted to stay longer at first.

And I thought Bert collected boring things.

This made me feel better about having to return home from a slumber party as a kid. It normalized the feeling of being homesick.

When I saw this on the Sesame Street Video Player, I was suprised that they would put a clip where they mationed Mr. Hooper on the site.

Awesome =D I thought I'd never see this again on YouTube.
I was going to dub this before Clausule's account got suspended and lost the video. Once again, thanks for the post, Jon =)
