  • I can see my house from here!!! (hammond hills) lol

  • I did the toy drop last year and it was a lot of fun. So glad I got to do it.

  • holywood tailgate on a ch47 sweet! all i got were midnight masstaxx, and after gramh ruddman we got towalk back!ALL THE WAY SKYTROOP!!

  • Dude, noise discipline on the DZ?guess we don't do that anymore huh?

  • @BigPappaMurf - Dude....fun jump, hollywood, daytime and a toy drop jump as well - noise discipline is not a factor - save your 'holier than thou' airborne lecture for someone who needs it and for a situation that really warrants it....

  • Word of advice for new soldiers going to Ft. Bragg. If don't go airborne before, or when you get there, you're going to be in a world of misery.

  • @mammal360

LOL - SO true! Airborne! All the Way!

  • Tailgate AND toggles!!!??? JEALOUS!

  • Love the shithook! My last jump before ETS was a Chinook daytime hollywood jump as gesture from Top and the CSGM

  • just got my cambodian jump wings 6 days ago hell yeah

  • yes they still call the CH47 a "shit hook"

  • Ahh the chinook-a big smoking holr waiting to happen!!

  • My dad said the airborne sucks hes in the Green Berets now but

i think the airborne or wat ever u call it is cool jsut ill nvr do it

  • B Co. 2/504 '81-'84 Airborne All the Way! Nice video sarge... brings back some memories.. as a seventeen year old when I got to Bragg it was a long way from home but some of the greatest memories I have.

  • @deeswagger

Thanks for the comment - lot's of good memories with the Devils in Baggy Pants...thanks for your service - Airborne! All the Way!!

  • i live like 2 hours away from here i see alot of cargo planes fly over

  • My grandfather said that back in the day when he was in South Korea, they used to call the Chinooks Shithooks because you could hook a whole lot of shit to them and they fly off. Do they still call them that?

  • hah my grandfather was also in south korea, but i dont think he ever told me that .

  • @MrMackBreezy

yes - they'er still referred to as shithooks - fun to jump out of though..

  • @SGTBaer I had one jump back in 86! Thanks for sparking the memory.

  • Hooah!

    TSgt, UASF

  • sgt baer is a homo. big time. i didnt see him check canopy gain canopy control either.

  • Hey dickhead, the video camera was taped to my chest. So, I had use of both arms/hands. I did check canopy, gained canopy control and maintained it through out the descent.

Unless you have some experience to back you up, take some advice - shut your fucking mouth when you don't know all the facts or ask questions first before you stick your foot in your mouth....

'homo'? is that the best you can come up with - sounds like you've got some insecurity - especially with a name like bigdickcody12.

  • @SGTBaer

    FUCKING AIRBORNE!

  • @bigdickcody12 How about you shut the fuck up, you didn't jump

  • Of course it ain't safe! lol. That's why we VOLUNTEER to do it.

  • awesome man i wanna do that

Rangers lead the way! Airborne - All the Way!

    SGT Baer

  • Thinking VERY hard about doing the same thing. Been out 10 years now and want to jump so bad I can taste it.

  • I just got back from Ft. Benning from another jump yesterday afternoon...C-130 door jump, nice soft landing onto Fryer DZ, had a blast!! mouth watering yet??

    Airborne - All the way!

  • Without doubt it's watering. Haven't seen Fryer for a long long time, I would settle for a nice hard landing on Sicily though.

  • Thanks a lot - glad you liked it! I had a blast filming it. What unit were you in and when?

  • Great job SGTBaer! All the old memories came back. My pulse rate started going up between "All OK, jumpmaster!" and the one-minute warning! :o)) That CH-47 transmission was one loud sonofagun!

  • Oh my gosh!!! This makes me so pumped! I can't wait til I go to AIT there in August! I'm so ready now.... That is so COOL!!!!!! I'm going to get to do THAT!!!

  • Thank you very much - I'm glad you like the video. What are going to do in the Army? What is your MOS going to be? Make sure you get everything you want in your contract. Good luck and keep in touch if you want to...stay safe - Airborne!!

  • Thanks for posting this, SGTBaer. Brings back a lot of memories...stay safe, Airborne.

  • Glad you liked it - I love jumping. When were you at Ft. Bragg?

  • Active duty with C-1/60th (Airborne) in Alaska in the late 70's, FT Bragg (Sicily DZ) throughout the '80's in the Army Reserve. Uniforms were different then, but the jump sequence (stand up, the wait to shuffle to the door, jumping, and, of course the silence in the air after the exit) was exactly like I remember it. It...doesn't go away.

Now, an SGM in the NG, my Jump Wings are still at I'm most proud of, in or out of uniform.

    Thanks for your service.

  • Thanks for sharing your information with me. It is a truly great feeling.

Thank you for your service Sergeant Major - if you're ever near Mobile, AL, let me know. I'll buy you a beer.

    Airborne!

  • Memories! Never got to do a daytime jump at Bragg.

  • wheeeeee!!

  • Thanks - great video yourseld as well.

  • Nice! Check my vid

  • i did this shit

  • does the canadian have

    ariborne

  • Yes.

  • is that the it is,.. i jumped with those in 83

  • The Only thing i miss about the Army is jumping! What a serious rush. But I would not advise anybody to go into this kind of unjust Army today! I spen 5 years in the 82nd Airborne Division from 85 to Dec 89 and 3 years in OPFOR JRTC Bco 1/509th ABN (Ranger).

  • Thats a low jump isnt it?

  • Not really - 1500 ft is pretty high for a static line jump. An actual combat jump from a C-130 at 400 ft is low. Thanks for the comment - you've got some great videos on your page. Have a good day - Airborne!.

  • dont forget to tell them about H.A.L.O jumps too.

  • The tailgate jumps were the best jumps. I was in the 82nd from 1990 to 1991, and in an Airborne Special Operations unit from January to November 1993.

KEEP YOU FEET AND KNEES TOGETHER!!!!!

  • Thanks for the comment - I agree - tailgates are the best. I've got one coming up next week up at Bragg - CE/MT at night - C-130 tailgate. Airborne - All the Way!

  • my dad used to do this when i was little.

  • Thanks for your post! Wow, I forgot how precious that experience was; I'm grateful for your skillful video and angelic PARACHUTE LANDING FALL. And to think, I actually packed those babies back in the day-waayyy back in the day.

    Gulf War Era Vet.

  • Hooah - thanks for your comment and thanks for your service - as well as the skillful packing - I was in the 82nd from 90' - 93' - who knows - you might have packed one of my parachutes back then - thanks again - Airborne - All the way!

  • is that really canadian forces or is that american

  • The paratroopers are American. The jumpmasters giving the commands on board the aircraft are Canadian.

  • does canada have a pachute infantry?

  • They do have paratroopers but I am not familiar with the organizational structure of their military. I see that you are 19 yrs old and live in Canada - maybe you should ask someone where you live - they might be able to give you some more information if you're interested in doing that..

  • Thanks for posting this video! It brings back some great memories for me. I have jumped into that DZ many times.

But, more importantly, I just had to say that Tail-Gate Jumps are the absolute BEST experience anyone can ever have! There is nothing that can even come close to the feeling of walking off the Tail Gate of a CH-47 Chopper or a C-130 plane! Out of all the memories I have of my experiences jumping, my tail-gate jumps are still my favorite memories of all!

    Airborne!

    Steve

  • Thanks for the comment Steve - you've got a great video as well..my next jump is 10 Feb 08 - jumping out of a CH-53 Super Stallion...hooah! Airborne- All the Way!

    Baer

  • Hey Steve(SpecOpsParatrooper)... Have you ever tailgated a C-7A Carabiou (i know i did not spell that right) ...the old Golden Knights airplane...C'mon man... the old 'Fun Jumps" on the weekends!!!

Get drunk all night...then jump first thing in the morning...jus for fun!!!

The testosterone way of time off!!!

  • JD, sadly no. I didn't get the chance to jump out of that one. I did however used to love to watch the Golden Knights jump.

On another note, man, we both were at Bragg during the same years! I was in the Army for 7 years and out of those 7, I served at Bragg from 1983 to 1989.

Stay in the wind and your feet out of the trees!

    Steve

  • You were right, great video. I've always said I love flying them and never saw any good reason to jump out of a perfectly good Aircraft. But after watching that I could do that a few times....looks like fun

    Fly Navy ;)

  • Good footage, but I would have dropkicked you on that DZ if you would have skysharked me because you were too busy being a cameraman!!

  • Thanks for the comment - However, the camera was taped to my chest. I had both hands on the toggles to make sure I could steer away from any other paratroopers - which I never got close to. I'm not a skyshark - never have been and never will be.

  • Cool...even better!

  • Back in my day...some kid took pics of his jump and displayed them on his wall...well...Top walks in and sees these pics and started smokin this kid...bad!

"how are you supposed to keep a sharp look out for all jumpers during your entire descent...if your taking pictures...Damn it!"

    Freeken hilarious!

    Stay safe my brothers!
