@BigPappaMurf - Dude....fun jump, hollywood, daytime and a toy drop jump as well - noise discipline is not a factor - save your 'holier than thou' airborne lecture for someone who needs it and for a situation that really warrants it....
B Co. 2/504 '81-'84 Airborne All the Way! Nice video sarge... brings back some memories.. as a seventeen year old when I got to Bragg it was a long way from home but some of the greatest memories I have.
My grandfather said that back in the day when he was in South Korea, they used to call the Chinooks Shithooks because you could hook a whole lot of shit to them and they fly off. Do they still call them that?
Hey dickhead, the video camera was taped to my chest. So, I had use of both arms/hands. I did check canopy, gained canopy control and maintained it through out the descent.
Unless you have some experience to back you up, take some advice - shut your fucking mouth when you don't know all the facts or ask questions first before you stick your foot in your mouth....
'homo'? is that the best you can come up with - sounds like you've got some insecurity - especially with a name like bigdickcody12.
Glad you like the video! I bet your jump was quite a rush! I missed being airborne so bad I got back in after being out for 14 years. I'm 41 now and on jump status again..I love it. Thanks for your comments.
I just got back from Ft. Benning from another jump yesterday afternoon...C-130 door jump, nice soft landing onto Fryer DZ, had a blast!! mouth watering yet??
Great job SGTBaer! All the old memories came back. My pulse rate started going up between "All OK, jumpmaster!" and the one-minute warning! :o)) That CH-47 transmission was one loud sonofagun!
Oh my gosh!!! This makes me so pumped! I can't wait til I go to AIT there in August! I'm so ready now.... That is so COOL!!!!!! I'm going to get to do THAT!!!
Thank you very much - I'm glad you like the video. What are going to do in the Army? What is your MOS going to be? Make sure you get everything you want in your contract. Good luck and keep in touch if you want to...stay safe - Airborne!!
Active duty with C-1/60th (Airborne) in Alaska in the late 70's, FT Bragg (Sicily DZ) throughout the '80's in the Army Reserve. Uniforms were different then, but the jump sequence (stand up, the wait to shuffle to the door, jumping, and, of course the silence in the air after the exit) was exactly like I remember it. It...doesn't go away.
Now, an SGM in the NG, my Jump Wings are still at I'm most proud of, in or out of uniform.
The Only thing i miss about the Army is jumping! What a serious rush. But I would not advise anybody to go into this kind of unjust Army today! I spen 5 years in the 82nd Airborne Division from 85 to Dec 89 and 3 years in OPFOR JRTC Bco 1/509th ABN (Ranger).
Not really - 1500 ft is pretty high for a static line jump. An actual combat jump from a C-130 at 400 ft is low. Thanks for the comment - you've got some great videos on your page. Have a good day - Airborne!.
The tailgate jumps were the best jumps. I was in the 82nd from 1990 to 1991, and in an Airborne Special Operations unit from January to November 1993.
Thanks for the comment - I agree - tailgates are the best. I've got one coming up next week up at Bragg - CE/MT at night - C-130 tailgate. Airborne - All the Way!
Thanks for your post! Wow, I forgot how precious that experience was; I'm grateful for your skillful video and angelic PARACHUTE LANDING FALL. And to think, I actually packed those babies back in the day-waayyy back in the day.
Hooah - thanks for your comment and thanks for your service - as well as the skillful packing - I was in the 82nd from 90' - 93' - who knows - you might have packed one of my parachutes back then - thanks again - Airborne - All the way!
They do have paratroopers but I am not familiar with the organizational structure of their military. I see that you are 19 yrs old and live in Canada - maybe you should ask someone where you live - they might be able to give you some more information if you're interested in doing that..
Thanks for posting this video! It brings back some great memories for me. I have jumped into that DZ many times.
But, more importantly, I just had to say that Tail-Gate Jumps are the absolute BEST experience anyone can ever have! There is nothing that can even come close to the feeling of walking off the Tail Gate of a CH-47 Chopper or a C-130 plane! Out of all the memories I have of my experiences jumping, my tail-gate jumps are still my favorite memories of all!
Thanks for the comment Steve - you've got a great video as well..my next jump is 10 Feb 08 - jumping out of a CH-53 Super Stallion...hooah! Airborne- All the Way!
Hey Steve(SpecOpsParatrooper)... Have you ever tailgated a C-7A Carabiou (i know i did not spell that right) ...the old Golden Knights airplane...C'mon man... the old 'Fun Jumps" on the weekends!!!
Get drunk all night...then jump first thing in the morning...jus for fun!!!
JD, sadly no. I didn't get the chance to jump out of that one. I did however used to love to watch the Golden Knights jump.
On another note, man, we both were at Bragg during the same years! I was in the Army for 7 years and out of those 7, I served at Bragg from 1983 to 1989.
You were right, great video. I've always said I love flying them and never saw any good reason to jump out of a perfectly good Aircraft. But after watching that I could do that a few times....looks like fun
Thanks for the comment - However, the camera was taped to my chest. I had both hands on the toggles to make sure I could steer away from any other paratroopers - which I never got close to. I'm not a skyshark - never have been and never will be.
Back in my day...some kid took pics of his jump and displayed them on his wall...well...Top walks in and sees these pics and started smokin this kid...bad!
"how are you supposed to keep a sharp look out for all jumpers during your entire descent...if your taking pictures...Damn it!"

Word of advice for new soldiers going to Ft. Bragg. If don't go airborne before, or when you get there, you're going to be in a world of misery.
