When I see bands like Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide and Pantera/Down, that kept the bar as high as they put it in the beginning, I eel stabbed in the back with what Morbid released after 10 years waiting by fans like me. Of course they are artists and they should have the liberty to be creative but they could have done it differently, like releasing a double album with their "experimental" stuff.
Thank you for these videos, I really appreciate the time you took :)
You're welcome. It was all our pleasure in recording it. Luckily the new songs don't sound as bad as they do on the new album. And yes, we are disappointed by that record. To much variation and deviation for our taste. Nevertheless, it was great to see them live again. Funny part was that we met Dave three days later visiting a Vader concert (recorded that also....).
@ovd806 waar in et publiek stond Dave toen ? ik stond helemaal linx van de stage linx van MOyses daar. op een gegeven moment brulde Alex dat David ergens stond in et publiek ?
@Friendroid Listen to the new Album over and over, you can appreciate it for the masterpiece it is. Long time Morbid Angel fan here (22 years!) and they offer something new every recprd, try to appreciate that, you have masters of the genre who are still playing. That won't last forever.
@CadaverSplatter The main judge of this album will be history - we'll see how much time will they take to release a new album and how good it will be. A band that used to write full albuns around sumerian mythology now releases songs that have lyrics like "kill a cop, kill a cop" or "we're hardcore, radikal"? To me it's disappointing. Gladly I have fresh stuff like Nile or Nader Sadek to listen to.
saw them 21 years ago and they still kick ass. new album is great except 3 or 4 songs. i rarely listen to a full album of anyone anyway. so who cares.
they should be booed every time they play that new bullshit. wtf is wrong with them. they woke up one day and said, hey guys......want to destroy our carreer with the worst cd ever made, so thats what they did. old morbid is great. this sucks
Don't be an elitist child. Fucktons of people like me have followed Morbid since Altars and the new record is awesome, different, but it's still Morbid Angel. The only bad track is Radikult. The rest is great. So fuck off with our crying, it's MA.
so you want a candy for following MA since Altars? If you were any kind of fan to begin with..and trust me, I've bled to Suffocation and Immortal Rites and Abominations....you'd know what a fucking cop out the new one is. Fuck your pseudo "open mindedness". This band forgot where it came from. If they wanted to put out an album of teenange slasher movie OSTs then they should've done it under a different moniker. Not Morbid Angel.
Looks like it was a really good show. I respect your efforts in trying to capture both Trey's and Destructhor's solos, it looks like it can be pretty difficult, especially when they're going back and forth.
Thanks for sharing.

Man, thanks for posting the gig! The best quality show with new tracks on YouTube yet.
Morbid Angel is in top shape. Tim rips it up on the drums like a beast, though I can't wait to see Pete back again.

Thanks for your compliments. Indeed it's not always easy to keep up with the changing solo's :-)
But it's worth the effort, though it's not always succesfull. :-)
