That last "commercial" is amazing. I remember how worried everyone was about AIDS being airborne or contagious. They were even trying to kick people out of towns who had it because everyone was so naive about this new "plague."
I Can't wait for christmas, I don't care that much for halloween, but i'm so looking forword to thanksgiving and christmas. but christmas is my favorite holiday, i just love watching all those christmas shows and movies, and i also love leaving out some milk and cookies, and a note for Santa Claus, and I Still Believe in Santa Claus, and I also believe that their's and explanation to everything, including Santa Claus.

Whenever this airs on TV nowadays the song at 4:08 is edited out, it's too bad that commercial time has become that valuable to TV networks that memorable music like that gets edited.
I will not own a television when I get my own place, YouTube is all I need.
Political Correctness ruins everything associated with Christmas. Especially all the older Christmas specials. ABC Family which has the tv rights to this special is scared to shit to air "Give your heart a try" because the word "gay" is in the lyrics. Do they relize the word "gay" also mens "happy"?
@PJSkins26 Ahhh, thank you for explaining why that song was missing from another version that's on You Tube! Luckily, I saw this on TV this year--I can't remember the channel, but it was intact, with "Give Your Heart a Try" included. Arrrgh, soooo stupid not to include it because it has the word "gay" in it! That's just crazy and sad, in my opinion.

Aside from the music in this show, another favorite part of mine was the final "wheezing" sound effect at 8:16, when the town clock conked out.
