I want to hear it with an exhaust that is equally as loud as that glorious intake. It's bit "boring" if it sounds the same away from you as it does towards you... :P

You want to hear running for real, its sounds awsome i work at the factory in Dartford, England. Never seen so much carbon fibre in all my life yet alone such a mad car! 1031bhp/ton
good fucking choice! this has 961.45 hp/tonne which is 84 less than caparo t1. for £200000 price difference you mustnt think much of that 84hp?! no, sarcasm before theres any wtf moments. why anyone would want to get a dangerous t1 over this is beyond me. im a caterham fan but i didn't know about this caterham.
The development on the engine started in the early 90's, so it is actually based on an FZR1000....essentially the granddaddy of the R1, but by the time RST completed the design, it had all new parts. They even make their own cylinder heads, based on the Yamaha design.
It's probably pretty light; the engine is made out of aluminum. Plus it says that the car is around 500KG. I don't know the metric system but I don't think that weights THAT much :/.
He was referring to the cost of the motor - 21k British pounds is nearly 42k US dollars ($41,647.71 as I type this). By the way, 1 kg is about 2.2 US pounds(lbs), so a 500 kg car weighs about 1100 lbs. Also, for reference, the supercharged motor supposedly weighs only 90 kg (198 lbs), including ALL running gear, even the supercharger.
do u av 2 take a 2day course to b able 2 drive this car? thats wat i heard

And finally they're coming out with a supercharged version with 500+ bhp. That's over 1000 bhp/tonne! Absolutely INSANE!

What are the specs of the v8...who's the manufacturer? What types of revs are you pulling?
green95gt 4 years ago
IIRC the RST is 2.6 or 2.8L uses the heads, pistons, and cylenders from a suzuki GSX1300R hayabusa and runs areoun 380-400hp @ about 10krpm

Stroked R1 motors, at a guess, mainly because its 5valves/cylinder, and the busa uses the usual 4/cylinder.
