Dont think there was good proof that the steroids caused the brain cancer. Steroid abuse can certainly damage internal organs, but people get cancer, incl brain cancer, without an answer many times. All of the steroids they feed animals likely is a cause of cancer in humans. RIP, Lyle.

Though there is no proof that steroids caused his type of brain cancer, They can cause problems. The truth is - it depends. I have never even tried steroids, yet I have met many people who have taken them or still take them. Many of them have taken them for years without side-affects. They claim that this is because they take low or moderate doses and cycle on and off under a doctors supervision (It must be noted that their doctors did not prescribe the steroids.

It is ironic that during the years that I suffered from industrial asthma, I had suffered from many henious side-affects from my chronic use of various antibotics and asthma medications that were prescribed to me.

Bottom line is that with the exception of unusual circumstances, we do not need drugs - even Steroids.

In closing I must say that steroics like any drug should not be prohibited by law if people are over voting age. Prohibition simply does not work.
