  • better than fintain stanley , and he was one of the greats , well done rolupin !!!

  • This is absolutely brilliant. I love the melodies and the bass is fantastic. Great volume and the accidental notes here and there add to the whole performance being really enjoyable. More please!

  • perfect!

Continue!!

  • very nice playing - I think you could lighten up on the basses though - just give them the quick stab/light tap on the off beat and occasional downbeats - great playing on the treble side but the basses start to get a bit dominant.

  • I 'd sell my clock and sell my reel...even sell my spinning wheel.. to play like this!!!

  • @wqpeb Is it not ''I'd sell my rod, I'd sell my reel...I'd even sell my spinning wheel....??

  • @Lisnageeragh I am pretty sure at least one version of this song had lyrics with clock in it. A clock in those days was a valuable item indeed. To own one was a special circumstance, and to have to sell it was a sacrifice.

Rod does indeed go with reel, but the female singer said clock in that case.

  • @wqpeb Interesting point ...who was she ? Where/ when would she have learned song?

  • It is on one of my old vinyl records. Will dig it up after the move (when I can unpack them.) I think the name of the song is Siul a' Riun or something like that.

You might find it on Youtube but maybe not with her singing it.

  • A M A Z I N G ! ! ! !
