There was a prequel, but it isn't a movie. It was a graphic novel series that was released in 2008. The director has made a statement saying that a sequel has been written, but due to legal issues will most likely never see the light of day.

Most movies that go on to produce sequels are pure failures. Its like they couldn't think of anything good enough to produce a new movie, so they decided to do the same thing again and make it just a little different with the same story line. Then lets add lots of hype and try to get everyone to think that its going to be so fucking cool.

I doubt there will be a sequel. Captain Howdy is dead. There could be a prequel, though. A look into his childhood, maybe? An explination for why he was so fucked up. It mentions that his father was a Marine war hero, maybe he was abused? Or his dad suffered an injury that put him in tremendous pain and "awakened" him to some other plane, then he decided to instill these beliefs into Hendrix? It could have to potential to be very interesting.

The Sequel is scheduled to start filiming this fall and is slated to be released at some point Next year. Dee Snider promised its going to be far worse in terms of violence and goryness than the original and will be a really great Sequel! I cant wait
