  • They can't front on THIS one Hova.

  • LOVE IT :D :D :D

  • probably one of the realest songs I ever heard. too real

  • I was born the year Reasonable Doubt came out but yes classic shoulda went triple

  • sounds like some fag shit to me

  • Pop. Stay ya ass outta prison son!

  • this is quute possibly one of the best songs in hip hop as is tupacs i wonder if heavens got a ghetto or brendas got a baby or bonnie and clyde-me n my girlfriend, biggie's kick in the door, warning or pig puns beware etc... leave him alone he has given you something nowaday rappers just dont have, QUALITY

  • haha 420070 views.

  • He may not be your greatest rapper alive but he is mine.

  • Yeah im gonna say killuminati, that'll save me. sarcasm off

  • Jay ain't one of my faves but one thing is for sure.. he has the most versatile flow

  • @Barhuumi not the most that probably goes to andre 3k

  • Killuminati

  • SMH!!! this is a great song. why cant we just leave it at that, nobody cares who your favorite rappers are. whos real? grow up!!!

  • 1 Of Hip Hops BEST SONGS

  • He said Trenton in another way. Wow. (Shaking Head "NO")

  • Jay's best songs 1) My First Song 2) Momma Loves Me 3) Can I Live 4) Heart of the City 5) No Hook 6) The Prelude 7) Can't Knock the Hustle 8) What More Can I Say 9) Meet the Parents 10) Lyrical Exercise that's my opinion so fall back with the hate... Fact is HOV is GOAT
  • papa left me.

  • I'm so sick nd tired of ppl sayin Pac is real nd Jigga is fake. Pac was never a gangsta- a gangsta isnt the one who gets shot- he's the one who does the shooting. Pac was robbed nd beaten in NY. Jay has never been robbed nd didnt go to a skool of public arts like Pac- he had a much poorer upbringin. He's way more real den Pac. Pac was dry snitchin on Big nd Puffy after he got shot- nd is so overrated lyrically. Jay Z is a real street cat.

  • @zsivaz realest shit i ever heard

  • @zsivaz Pac wasnt the most lyrical rapper, but he's made a shit load of good songs that can make my ipod today

  • @zsivaz I agree wit 95% of what u said, but they was both from the bottom Pac was the son of black panthers at the head the struggle u cant get no more hood then that. Cant be mad kuz his mama put em in a gd school. Pac, Big, and Jay top 3 no order. Just sayin!

  • @zsivaz Do you realize that when Pac's mom was pregnant with him she was in Jail? They grew up poor as did Jay. Pac overrated? You must be crazy. Pac was also brought up on charges for a gun battle that he was in. so what are you talking about "a gangsta isn't the one that gets shot but does the shooting"? check your facts before you write shit about the greatest rapper to ever live. SMH at your ignorant comment

  • @zsivaz what does it really matter my dude? they made some good music for us to get through our times. that im a thug shit is old and tired. which one of them took care of their families? which one was the best father to their children? nobody never talks about shit like that. its crazy a beat and some lyrics can turn someone into a thug. thats crazy

  • amazing album not his best though

  • @getrapedpmfl69 what wud U say his best is?

  • @willtyler4 reasonable doubt

  • single black mothers stand up

  • not a jay z fan but i love this song and this album. i actually bought it. since biggie is dead he is the king of new york. although i like dmx better than him

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin Opinions. Quit talking about facts you fake faggot.

  • @Thizzpwnt $up tee?

  • damn i love this song r.i.p primo i miss u i dedicate this song to you

  • @TheJp316 Primo is not dead, Guru is... but premier is still alive and kicking

  • nice

  • I love the way Bink flipped that Al Green sample....Al Green "Free At Last"

  • Pop left me. Sadly, this is the truth for too many children

  • "kitchen table, that's where i home'd my skills, JAZ MADE ME BELIEVE THIS SHIT WAS REAL" ahhhhh, chills every time.

jay-z, best rapper alive, best rapper ever, period. for a long time, i've had biggie as my #1 but after listening to jay-z over and over, album after album, he's the best, and this is coming from a huge biggie addict (victory is still my #1 song).

  • 50 bars of realness.

  • Blueprint 10 Anniversary :D

  • Yes yes Pac's psychos. The truth is that Jay's technique is hundred times better than Pac. So keep hatin, keep loving Pac ignoring every other rapper, your choice. Great track, thanks Hova

  • please do not even mention lil wayne on this channel if people really listen to that nigga instead of just listenin to the beat you will realize that nigga is a lame rapper he dont spit the truth he sounds very ignorant when he raps. Jay, Biggie, Pac, Wu Tang, Naz, etc. Wayne only got album sales cause like Dave Chapelle said "Nigga's like Drums". you slap a beat on some bull these days and you got a hit!! Hip Hop now is so commercialized its pathetic you need a condom on just to listen to it!!!

  • Give it up for that nigga Bink! on the beat tho ..damn them organs just set jay's story off .. jay need to go see bink! asap

  • @gravesg yes!!! Bink is one of the most talented producers. He flipped Al Green's "Free at last" for this one.

  • Come on people, you may love jay z, which is cool, but he isn't the greatest - nowhere close. He's probably the greatest commercial success, and he's done very well, but real talent doesn't sell fantastically in the pop charts like jay does. By real talent I mean the very best talents, like guru, rakim, Wu tang, biggie (maybe an exception with sales) and albums like illmatic, doe or die, liquid swords, only built for cuban linx and so on. Jay did have reasonable doubt which is good, but not best

  • @hayeder reasonable doubt is right up there with illmatic

  • @murph277v Agreed they're both classics

  • @FranciscoD0MING0 Go watch Lil wayne

  • man this alumis jay's masterpeice very artist has that one album that just stands out michael jackson's thriller prince purple rain curtis mayfield super fly marvin gaye whats going on jay-z the blueprint

  • Fuk GAY-Z

    Fake nigga azz muh fuka

  • @FranciscoD0MING0 Fake? Did you listen to the song. This is as real as it gets. This basically the story of how he became a rapper. It's "the blueprint" of his life.

  • HUSTLIN FROM THE GET

  • jay goes so deep on this on. he just talks real about his life. Family friends and rhymes. this is his best song hands down. No rapper will ever compare to him. he has done so much for the game.

  • "Beans I aint tryna change you just give you some game to make the transition from the street to the fame"....I love that line!!!

  • Listen to that beat drop @ kitchen table that's where I hold my skills , Jazz had me believing this shit was real !!! Hotttt !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • nas still ate'm

  • @TheYoungDino

Yeah Right Nas is a clown.... Jay spit nothing but the truth in that whole battle, Nas's lyrics were fabricated... Jay crushed that n!@@a...

  • @MrJumpman2300 well i dont know'em to kno whether it was true or not I jus kno nas killed'em. google the views for ether then super ugly and b foreal

  • @TheYoungDino

You just showed how much of hip-hop you know... You don't compare super ugly to ether, compare the takeover to ether and you be 4real.. Nas loses all credibilty when he says Jay has dick sucking lips.. How can a man tell another man what kind of lips they have????

  • @MrJumpman2300

Nas' secondary post of Ether has more views than takeover. U may be too strung out on Jay to believe the truth though. & Jay fabricated way more than Nas did anyway

  • @TheYoungDino

I think you're riding Nas too hard... Rap cats validated what Jay spit in the takeover, nobody validated what Nas spit, they just thought it was funny... Give me one line Jay lied about and you win this argument, until then you're wrong, just like people saying nas won. Nas was the underdog in this battle, people gravitate to the underdog..

  • this is a top 5 jay track maybe even his best

  • jay z is the most successful rapper of all time.....most intellectual and inspirational rapper let alone lyrical....the mike jackson of hip hop king forever

  • JAY Z IS DA FUCKIN TRUTH

  • Comment removed

  • @rayallen0 No this was produced by Bink.

  • i LOVE THE WAY HE PAINTS HIS PICTURES

  • he talks about all his "nieces and nephews" like they are his kids. How can be a rap superstar for all those years and not have kids? #jussayin

  • real song

  • Great message....w/s chicago

  • jay that nigga a legend in his own time

  • this song gives me chills every effing time. BRILLIANT

  • JayZ is the best alive today

  • don't get me wrong, this song is classic. but I love the anthony hamilton version way better.

  • this is what rap should sound like. new rappers, not mentioning names, TAKE NOTES!!....

  • this is what rap should sound like. new rappers take notes...

  • BEST RAPPER EVEER. END OF DISSCUSSION

  • People may argue that pac and big are better because they're songs have more heart but, jay's story telling, lyrics (he can say 10 things in 2 lines), flow, rhyme and word play are perfection. They can't be touched, also he has just as much if not more heart than every other rapper. He is the greatest rapper to ever walk the the earth, fact not opinion.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin i feel ya real shit jay dat nigga

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin You smokin brah....at the most I will put him in the top 20

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin No, that is opinion. Jay is great, I love his music, but I wouldn't go as far as saying he is the best. To be honest, I can't give anyone the label as 'the best' because there are too many great artists out there, it would be a insult if I were to call them second best. B.I.G, Pac, Jay-Z etc etc are all greats of the game. Plus - a lot non-mainstream rappers get unnoticed, there are some amazing Underground rappers out there, Immortal Technique and Diabolic to name but a few.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin

Nope, Opinion. Tech N9ne....fact not opinion, is the best.

  • @twiztidlestat lol. thats funny.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin Good points . Still your opinion, not fact.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin bet jay cant spit a story BACKWARDS it starts at the endin...

  • @raptors1234 bet he can

  • @positiveblackman1 Nas is my second favorite. I don't think he better though. It's more preference their rap styles are completely different and to me Jay's lyrics are more appealing.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin easy now. "he cant be touched" is a little strong. dont even think Jay himself would agree with that. and what criteria are you using to support "greatest rapper ever"? sales? he isnt the highest seller. money? he is probably the highest earner. but word play, flow, stories and everything else you mention are opinion based. not fact based. facts are records sold, money earned, etc. heart and rhymes cant be quantified.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin What are you talking about... You say Jay-z is the best but we cant dislike or like?Good rappers dont have haters.. he obviously has... Retard

  • @xFicciouss 1. I am stating my opinion.

    2. You're a fucking idiot, all rappers have haters, good or bad.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin Yur saying fact not opion your stupid

  • @xFicciouss It's a fact in my opinion, that is what I meant if you're too stupid to see that not my problem.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin LOL?? FACT NOT OPINION YOU SIR ARE A RETARD PUSSY THAT THINKS HE IS A SMART GUY GTFO Wannabe smart ass. go listen some other music.. 2pac or biggie thats the real shit hes just money hungry...

  • @xFicciouss

    1. My opinion is considered fact by me and 38 other people on this video.

    2. 2pac and Biggie were just as money hungry.

    3. I really don't want to hear your shit anymore it's just filling up my comment box, thanks.

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin YOUR TALKING SHIT In the first place so stfu fucking faggot

  • @HipHopIsDeadMohsin

Jay Z's storytelling doesn't come close to Nas.

    Biggies flow is untouchable.

2pac is the greatest, realest ever, talks about real issues, Jay Z brags too much.

Thats just my opinion though, I still think hes the 4th best ever.

  • im not a big fan of jay (but deeply respect reasonable doubt) but this song always gets me. damn good song

  • yesssss,

  • this brings me backkkk to them daysss !

  • ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW

  • he doesnt write he comes up with in the booth then he had to memorize it

  • @pup599 Thanbk you thank you thank you been trying to find it for ages! ^^

  • @xxgfabulousbxx breath easy freestyle?

  • This song sounds like my life... my dad left me my mom loved me but died.. my bros and gramma took care of me...

  • @xXJiggminXx hope u doin good fam

  • I really hate Jay-Z and everything he stands for, but this song is amazing. I give him props. The lyrics are the realist I ever felt. only because he touches a soft spot in my life, I loved my mom, but she loves the needles more. I wish I knew my pops but he knew the barrel of shotgun better than he could ever know his own son. Bouncing around from home to home, all I knew was PAIN. Fuck im still going through it. 21 years and going, God I feel like giving up..

  • i love this song!!

  • he came in the game wit 10 grand

  • second best song on the album

  • jay z eminem and lil wayne dont write because they dont know how

  • @KCDEWH21 Jay wrote Reasonal Doubt

  • @KCDEWH21 hov started doing it before either of them

  • @KCDEWH21 Eminem writes, Lil wayne wrote on his first 4-5 albums.

The only real none-writes are Jiggaman and The Notorious b.i.g. as far as rap stars go.

  • @cdothedamnthing didnt he stop on carter 1 or two i think he only non wrote two of his albums plus all the mixtapes dude dnt forget abou that and yup jigga and biggie only real non writers for reals people need to relize this

  • @cdothedamnthing

Jada never wrote either. He's been doing it since the mid 90s with Bad Boy.

  • @cdothedamnthing jay is a swagger jacker...its easy to free style when you are spitting someone elses rhymes. he steals from big, kane, jaz o, nas etc...thats old news.

  • i dont care who he has beef with who he worships what hes done he will always be better than lil wayne

  • Comment removed

  • @kfizzlefazzle89 kanye produced most of this album right ?? explains a lot - altho he's gon kinda dry 2 if u ask me !!

  • @wazo1982 Kanye didnt produce this song

  • Da realest song he ever wrote hands down!!!!

  • @jacctrippa81

prolly the realest song he ever wrote

  • @jacctrippa81

jay-z doesn't write. thats why wayne, ti & a bunch of other dudes say they don't write. cuz they copied jigga...

  • @Rudboi100 and jay copied big daddy kane, big, jaz o, nas etc....cut the bullshit.

  • @getyoasshome

yea jay has referenced & flipped other rapper's shit but what rapper hasn't??? all the rappers u just named have borrowed from other musicians many times. & on top of that just think about how many mc's have taken something from jay. damn near every rapper out has taken a flow, jacked one of his beats, borrowed one of his flows, flipped one of his rhymes, jacked his style....etc. it's ironic people call him a swagger jacker when he is arguably the most jacked rapper ever...

  • @Rudboi100 plenty rappers havent...its called BITING!!!!! in the true glory days of hip hop you are NOT SUPPOSED TO BITE!! thats blasphemy thats why mobb deep went in on him thats why Pac went in on him and thats why BDK dont fuck with him no more. emcees take from jay? who? maybe one of these new guys. when Pac said "takin off my coat, clearing my throat" we knew he was paying homage to rakim....jay doesnt do that...he steals a rhyme and tries to make it his own.

  • @getyoasshome

also, just compare the # of rhymes he "jacked" compared to the rhymes he made up. the rhymes that he took make up a tiny portion of his rhymes, probably less than 1%. for every jacked rhyme u mention i can mention 100 original ones. i think folks r jus nitpicking @ this point. theyre runnin out of shit to say. they cant say he doesnt have a dope flow and dope albums so they become desperate & start pointing out that a super duper small percentage of his rhymes are borrowed.

  • @Rudboi100 jay has a dope flow its just that its not his....i heard jaz before i ever heard of jay and the first time i ever heard jay i swear to god i thought it was jaz. i heard jay back in 93' i didnt know it wasnt jaz till i saw the video and saw who he was in real life. i think where people get it fucked up is they think selling records makes you the greatest......hip hop has never been about selling records.

  • @jacctrippa81 this one, This Can't Be Life and a couple of his intros. U can almos hear the tears

  • @jacctrippa81 One of the realest songs he wrote... He got mass though. Real hip hop heart felt street shit.

  • @jacctrippa81 The realist song HE NEVER WROTE lol

  • @jacctrippa81 he dont write

  • i can hear the pain in his voice man

  • CHECK OUT MY DRUM COVER OF PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUCEMENT BY JAY-Z!!!

  • I feel Jay´s pain from this song . Jay´s still number 1 !!

  • I feel Jay´s pain from this song . Jay´s still number 1 !!

  • Nice instrumental by Bink. Real lyrics by Jigga. Good track.

  • @Arcillica1 LMAO i dont mean to highlight but what is "pump faking"

  • @smuve2585 basically lyin n stuntin about shit....lol
