If ID would have been smart like VALVE was and update one of its most treasured games for exaple Counter Strike into Counter Strike Source. RTCW into RTCW & ET source (with much better graphics but leaving the maps and gameplay the same) then i have no doubt it would easily beat call of duty and battlefield. But what they came up in Wolfenstein multiplayer is garbage. Easily to see no effort behind it.
NO, CoD is a Copy of Wolenstein. The Wolfenstein Franchise started in 1992, CoD Franchise started in 2003. The First two CoD Games uses the id Tech 3 Engine, so did RTCW, which came out in 2001.

Note whenever you buy any cod game 1-7 you can cleary read from the catridge itself that the product contains software techonlogy licensed from ID software. So whatever the cod fanboys say Wolfenstein is the ground witch these games were created. RTCW was made from 4 developers. And its team multiplayer is still the best there is.
not every WWII shooter looks like duty. this doesn't look like duty at all, all WWII games have the same general type of guns, and wolfenstein has some weird guns that are most certainly not in duty.
I think there is a wolfenstein mp beta on thepiratebay. I don't really know how the online works though, probably gotta use Hamachi or something to create/find a server. Lan works too. But its not so fun. There are probably more features in the multiplayer if you actually buy the game, so ya.

If they wanted to separate themselves from this 'cod-entical' crosshair system, there should be an option to choose your crosshair from a bunch of different ones, namely the dot. Ironsights should be for rifles only. Leave the tactical crap for those other games, and keep the old-school fans of FPS happy. I'm afraid this game might have been designed with the console kiddies in mind, and us old Wolfenstein players are handed second rate crap.

1. iron sights (many games have those)
2. grenade indicator (i was actually disappointed that rtcw DIDN'T have those)
3. not shooting while sprinting (you can still fire, it's just that you stop sprinting when you're firing, and you can go right back to sprinting afterwards).
yeah, 3 things are copied from call of duty and suddenly it's a call of duty clown. and the only thing that i felt didn't improve the game was number 3. and still, the reason why rtcw mp was so great was that it was a team based game, where each class had a different ability and is used for different purposes. that's the true wolfenstein experience, and as long as that's here, wolfenstein's multiplayer will get a pass from me.
Might wait until official release before judging it too much..I honestly dont think that the current ET and RTCW feel would sell very good with todays casual audience and no developers make their games for their hardcore fanbase.
