This is a total feat of art and music, to be able to see Chopin´s life, through the narration of a great remarkable pianist Andreas Schiff. This is truly a most fortunate event for the whole world to be able to delve into one of the most dearly beloved composers of all times. There are absolutely no words to thank the promoters and producers so as to make this documentary available to everybody through Youtube.
Chopin is my favorite too, for the piano. I do wonder though, why he did not compose very many symphonic works. Maybe the legend of the "curse of the 9th" is true.
The curse of the ninth is the superstition that any composer of symphonies, from Beethoven onwards, will die soon after writing their own Ninth Symphony. but Chopin didn't write any symphonies ...
Chopin analysed his strengths and weaknesses. He knew his shortcomings in the field of composing for orchestra. Take the piano concerto for eg. his orchestration was inept. Thus he stuck to piano which was his strongest area

There's not enough evidence to support the idea that the "Revolutionary" étude was written because of the failed Polish uprising.
