The South Staffordshire Line really needs to be reopened as soon as possible, and they also need to reinstate the trains from Stourbridge Junction to Birmingham New Street!
@SamMitchell90 The Stourbridge to New Street line most defo needs passenger trains again.I miss the early 90's when all trains went to New Street.Snow hill is complete fail compared to New Street.
Seems a shame it closed as I think many people would find it useful these days, what with more traffic on the roads. Would be cool if it could be converted to a light rail/tram line but knowing how terrible public transport is in the Midlands compared to London, that will never happen.
The line between Walsall and Lichfield closed in1984 and the bit between Walsall and Brierley Hill closed in 1993 but they will reopen the Walsall to Brierley Hill section in a few years but not sure about the line north of Walsall
Good compilation. Sad to see that there's so little left, the Hammerwich station buildings and Wednesbury goods shed seemingly the only survivors until Round Oak is reached...
Great slideshow and some wonderful sites of railways past and present. :D

such sad looking sights! the gov should reopen these lines as these would be good for the local economy and bring life back to the black country!!
