@GlassHigh makes sense now -.-. But who cares, i am in the 7th prototype on my hovercraft, it uses no keep up right, and no hoverballs, and does this same function.
i tried this but i used a separate dick that i keped lvl and pointing in the direction i wanted it to face using a gyro and some delta math. then i used a spinning disk to act like a stabilizer to keep the ship in the angle that i put it in.
Very nice, i made one of these but it looked more like a helicopter with the propeller on the bottom.... i hate how when you move forward it tilts the way the blade is spinning... to counter this just make two blade going opposite directions =)
very nice, i just use some wire to stabilize, but to think that valve made this deep of a physics engine, i knew that it was amazing for its time but this tops all next gen engines
The trouble is Oscillation, have you tried more that one axis, like have a plate that spins on the Y one on the X and one on the Z. Gmod blackmagic :)
Fuck, I hate people like specopps, they immediately criticize before even giving it a second thought, I bet he didn't even watch the vid. Also, XXXMags, is that you?
well i must say you you're self are one of those people....
I did give a though or five....
As a matter of fact i tried to build that 66 or seven times.
I found that it works to an extent however controling it is harder than chasing an Australian Shepard through the suburban streets of a Texas city....
im not saying its impossible but to make that run like that the creator of this film must have worked tediously at his computer for DAAAAAYYYSSS!!!111!!1111
And no im not XXXMags
his name sounds like a noob...
I cant be a noob ive been watching youtube for at least 4 years....
Actually to be honest I don't recall precisely what my comment was in response to. Not actually the video itself though I remember that much.
I THINK it was in response to
SilentShadowLT as he apparently knows the ins and outs of Keep Upright. Personally I've tried Keep Upright and it's never really worked well for the applications I've used. The "gyroscopic stabilization" does work though it's pretty awesome.
Additionally, I heard something somewhere about this actually being due to a glitch in the physics engine, something about not being able to handle the calculations when the prop is spinning too fast. But that may have been an less related issue.
I do understand, of course, how well this works in real life.
@Asdd44 i wanna see a video of this. vids or it didnt happen

How the fuck did you keep at one height? Like without touching anything...

I created my own UFO with this concept. Mind you, it has more tech!
-Three disc GyroStabilzeation
-Remote System Monitor, watching system speed and thruster status
-Modifiable thruster power chip(default sets power to max)
-Two thrusters power it's upward direction-made stable by rotation of all three discs.
-And can be modded to explode when shot(arm a mini nuke and weld to bottom!)

I wonder if you can make a spacebuild ship with this method?

This is how I made my air ship.

=D... Ive tried that and it works.. it helps stabalize the plate.. if the plate isn't spinning.. the machine will be unstable
