As a long time knife maker, I can tell you there just isn't enough carbon in that materal to make a good knife, an old file would hav sure been a lot better for the same amount of work after you normalized it.

I have a question if you can help I'll appreciated a lot...I have an hold knife and the handle is made by camel bone in some part it did lost the shine...do you know how I can make it shine the bone again?
