  • Welp... Let me just climb up there... AND BREAK YOUR FUCKIN NECK!!! @2:14

  • How strong are they in comparison to chimps?

  • @bootysurgeon apparently chimps can be up to 5X as strong and an orangutan up to 8X whereas a gorilla is 10X stronger, making it the strongest ape

  • @bootysurgeon These are all maximum male strengths btw

  • 2:14 - rear naked choke! It's tight!

  • She was intelligent to know that she was heavily outnumbered. Also, she knew that those people wouldn't be a real threat to the wee baby. She reacted, then wanted to cool down the anxious humans with an expressive cuddle to let them all know that she didn't mean any harm. I love primates. They are so fascinating to observe and study. You folks were lucky to encounter a wild Mom and live to tell about it. Not to mention, get a cuddle from a remarkable species. You were all blessed!

  • she's one smart ape ;-) looks lke she knows that grabbing somone and keeping them captive for a bit gets her some easy food lol

  • This looks like Jackie the Orangutan, she does this to people alot!

  • I wanna be hugged by an orangutan!

  • part of the bukit lawang orang utangs is born and raised wild.. some are from the sanctuary set free. in 2003 there was a massive flood in bukit lawang destroying half the village. most orangs in the sancturay were set free, because there were no other options.. these orang utangs you can find on the forest floor and do contact people

  • WOOOW!!!!!!!!!

  • Not wild? After a 8 hour thick jungle trek I didn't see any Mc Donalds around! This is as wild as you can get-that's sumatera. I'm no orang expert & yes we saw a few in the treetops, however just enjoy the video as it was bloody scary at first!

  • Not wild! Wild orangs don't like to take the weight on their legs and normally stay in the tops of the trees where they live, eat, sleep etc This girl is called Jakki.

  • @TiggyMands not completely true.. the orangs in sumatra do live in the treetops indeed.. reason sumatran tiger runnin wild.. in maleisia though they move as well along the forestfloot.. good guides (many say they are guides, but in fact they 'guide' illegal) chase the orangs into the trees in sumatra..
