The VSS is the shittiest gun in BC2 hands down because it's insanely inaccurate. 2:32 and 3:13 were 0 hits that would have been kills/major damage with assault or engi class.
@jamaica7131 what ur saying is that automatic weapons are for pussy? if u think about it, VSS does not have a crosshair, default sight is a 6x scope, and it has low ammo if u use red dot / 4x. to be honest, for me the VSS works just the same as a Engineer's smg.
@AsKSniperMagician never said autos suck, but auto sniper rifles, its basically made to spray n pray, sure u can use it with red dot n 4x, but then ur still gunna do the same as with 6x or 12x spray n pray, recon class is amde to find acomfortable spot and snipe out threats, not to rush with an auto sniper rifle, spray enemies, and use the mortars errytime it reloads, its a tactical class, not a kamikazee one, thts my point :)

There's a serious flaw in this strategy. The vss is NOT a smg with a scope. It has shorter range than a bolt-action rifle, but it can still be used effectively at very long distances if fired correctly. The key is firing in bursts instead of full auto and aiming for the head, like you'd do with a bolt-action rifle. The real advantage is that you can also use it to take out enemies at short range instead of pulling out your pistol.
@tehhsnipehh This is the best sniper rifle once you learn how to use it properly, you can even make marksman headshots with it. Sure, it takes more skill to make kills with the M24 or the M95, but the VSS can also be used at short range since it's full auto, so it allows you to be closer to the objectives and support your team directly instead of just shooting at people from a fucking mile away.

Statistically it is the most powerful fully automatic weapon in the game, beating both the G3 and AN 94. The pay off is a 20 bullet mag. I've got my platinum star for it and would highly recommend using extra ammo and magnum, it's fecking lethal!
After words "poor accuracy" I stopped watch this. Automatic fire is for close combat, 3-4 rounds per time for middle distance 100-150m, and for the long range 150+m you can just shot 1-2 per time, and you'll get every 2nd shot with a headshot. Statistics don't lie.

@ArincePluko not really, i just think if u reddot/4xscope the gun, u turn it into a submachine gun with sniper range and damage. also the first submachine gun has 20 rounds in the mag so really theres not complaining about not having enough ammo

@live4thafun Yes. If they camp back at the spawn, how do they get their motion trackers anywhere near the enemy? And what of the C4? No one's arm is good enough to throw it from one spawn to another. No, I contest the recon is used either 1) rushing the enemy (effective), or 2) providing a vessel from which the enemy may collect dog tags while they (the recons) get the occasional kill (not so effective).
@jpheitman snipers are a very stealthy enemy thats how they use the C4 they sneak behind the enemy and plant it.As for motion trackers if you use your stealth you could get within range to throw them instead of rushing.You just may be a very non-effective sniper at long range while as for me I AT LEAST get 20 kills every match.

And the auto sniper is pretty weird. The key is to smack on a close-range sight, close to range, and rip bitches up at point-blank. Your motion sensors are to be used offensively; stick with your squad, and throw them towards the enemy.
I feel this guys pain with bad players, I had 2 other players I played the full game everyone started at 0 kills, my 2 players got 10 kills combined! I got 40 friggin kills in SDM with a GOL sniper w/ ACOG, I went on a 14 killstreak in the start of the game, I told the 2 " I'm not playing next match with you two."
Ok you want some Tips for the VSS....use magnum AND extra Ammo...the defualt scope doesnt have THAT big of a zoom so personaly I dont think you need the ACOG in most cases....AND you WILL run out of ammo really fast with this gun
For you pistol...use your favourite I personaly love using 1911 so I use that one.
And also DONT fire this weapon in full auto, tap it unless is point blank the vss will spray EVERYWERE.
@FFS1NICO Using it with 12x scope makes your crosshair bounce a lot. I use VSS the default scope for long ranges, seeing as how you can take multiple shots and see were it lands, people using bolt action with 12x will probably miss their first shot, so while they preparing for next shot, you can kill them in 3. But yeh, this gun should mainly be used with extra ammo + magnum.
Just saying. Those medics are spray n pray, and those engineers have to use AOE against everyone cus they're mostly noobs. They fail to realise how great the SCAR is, and use fucking gustavs. Facepalms everywhere.

I use the VSS a lot and honestly i think its pretty overpowered. I get a lot of 25/5 rounds with it. I use lightweight pack and magnum ammo with it mostly. It pretty badass at range if you just tap their heads a few times. It really is awesome at close quarters though. i get so many double and triple kills rushing and clearing out houses. at close range most of the time theres no reason to zoom in with it. i think firing from the hip is way underrated in this game, at least in non hardcore

yes sure but i like it more the way without scope because you can take the more ammo spec. The big disadvantage in my opinion is that you run out of ammo very fast with that gun
You should give the M95 with a 4x optic sight and magnum ammo a shot, it's a really effective weapon setup for mid-range as long as you can hit the target. Still works for long-range too.
when you kill somebody with assault class you should pick their kit up and throw an ammo box down then pick your sniper kit back up. You will restock yourself and also get points for restocking your team as long as the ammo box stays in the match. Same with medics.
i unlocked the vss long time ago but never used when i saw someone using it i thought he hacked it but when i tried it it by accident i was getting a fit. Why would it be in a recon class and how is it sniper rifle i think this is the least used gun probably most of the people thought it was semi. I actually think it should be used as a assault. Its got the most damage of any automatic and i think its the best gun thank god everyone think its a semi automatic

I prefer to have the ammo upgrade for this gun intead of the upgraded scopes, beacause it has only 2 CLIPS worth of extra ammo. As a result I can have a longer time-span of using it, rather then having to switch to my secondery in less than 2 minutes. You can do whatever, just telling how I use this gun...

My three rules for a REAL sniper:
1 Never use an automatic sniper
2 Don't think about using an automatic sniper
3 If you do just fucking kill yourself it would help your team get more kills instead of you trying to be a hero and rush a guy with twice the firepower you have.YOU WILL LOSE that fight.

@live4thafun Yes. If they camp back at the spawn, how do they get their motion trackers anywhere near the enemy? And what of the C4? No one's arm is good enough to throw it from one spawn to another. No, I contest the recon is used either 1) rushing the enemy (effective), or 2) providing a vessel from which the enemy may collect dog tags while they (the recons) get the occasional kill (not so effective).

@jpheitman snipers are a very stealthy enemy thats how they use the C4 they sneak behind the enemy and plant it.As for motion trackers if you use your stealth you could get within range to throw them instead of rushing.You just may be a very non-effective sniper at long range while as for me I AT LEAST get 20 kills every match.

@live4thafun Actually, by this point I was kind of talking about "which console I am on." Incidentally, while I do admit some of my PC compatriots may be somewhat... dismissive... of consoles, none of them have denied their sheer existence.
And the auto sniper is pretty weird. The key is to smack on a close-range sight, close to range, and rip bitches up at point-blank. Your motion sensors are to be used offensively; stick with your squad, and throw them towards the enemy.

I feel this guys pain with bad players, I had 2 other players I played the full game everyone started at 0 kills, my 2 players got 10 kills combined! I got 40 friggin kills in SDM with a GOL sniper w/ ACOG, I went on a 14 killstreak in the start of the game, I told the 2 " I'm not playing next match with you two."

Ok you want some Tips for the VSS....use magnum AND extra Ammo...the defualt scope doesnt have THAT big of a zoom so personaly I dont think you need the ACOG in most cases....AND you WILL run out of ammo really fast with this gun
For you pistol...use your favourite I personaly love using 1911 so I use that one.
And also DONT fire this weapon in full auto, tap it unless is point blank the vss will spray EVERYWERE.
AND use you motion sensors....

@FFS1NICO Using it with 12x scope makes your crosshair bounce a lot. I use VSS the default scope for long ranges, seeing as how you can take multiple shots and see were it lands, people using bolt action with 12x will probably miss their first shot, so while they preparing for next shot, you can kill them in 3. But yeh, this gun should mainly be used with extra ammo + magnum.

I use the VSS a lot and honestly i think its pretty overpowered. I get a lot of 25/5 rounds with it. I use lightweight pack and magnum ammo with it mostly. It pretty badass at range if you just tap their heads a few times. It really is awesome at close quarters though. i get so many double and triple kills rushing and clearing out houses. at close range most of the time theres no reason to zoom in with it. i think firing from the hip is way underrated in this game, at least in non hardcore

You should give the M95 with a 4x optic sight and magnum ammo a shot, it's a really effective weapon setup for mid-range as long as you can hit the target. Still works for long-range too.

when you kill somebody with assault class you should pick their kit up and throw an ammo box down then pick your sniper kit back up. You will restock yourself and also get points for restocking your team as long as the ammo box stays in the match. Same with medics.

i unlocked the vss long time ago but never used when i saw someone using it i thought he hacked it but when i tried it it by accident i was getting a fit. Why would it be in a recon class and how is it sniper rifle i think this is the least used gun probably most of the people thought it was semi. I actually think it should be used as a assault. Its got the most damage of any automatic and i think its the best gun thank god everyone think its a semi automatic

First comment... "pretty poor accuracy" .... actually it has pin point accuracy if you don't spam it. It's awsome for long range shoot, just need to know the drop. And its handy to spam close range.
PS: Love the spray and pray comment after you sprayed and prayed and resorted to your pistol.

I prefer to have the ammo upgrade for this gun intead of the upgraded scopes, beacause it has only 2 CLIPS worth of extra ammo. As a result I can have a longer time-span of using it, rather then having to switch to my secondery in less than 2 minutes. You can do whatever, just telling how I use this gun...
