was just thinking. it should have more than only 8000 rpm it has fucking 16 sylinders 15 000 rpm would be nothing for that engine. when a bugatti is on 8000 rpm with those 16 cylinders it sounds like 3000 rpm.. i think it could do more like 15 000 rpm because of so many cylinders

there only a few places you can hit top speed in this car thus top speed is not that big of a deal, it take skill going fast in a short amount of time, anyone can build a car that can go 200+ just add more gears

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but more gears doesn't equal more speed, it's the gear ratios themselves. The McLaren F1 could have an extra gear or have its sixth streteched out, and it could go faster. It really depends on the car and its purpose.

They could gear a Veyron for doing the quater mile, but it wouldn't be a top speed machine anymore.

You can't just "add more gears". You need the HP to drive those gears too. Many 5 speed cars have their top speed in 4th gear because they don't have the power to reach the same in 5th.

The veyron is a perfectly planed for what its made to do, absolutely everything, you have an obscenely comfortable and luxurious car, capable of hitting 400kph with an unmatchable stability and control, and will be able to do this for years withowt braking down, as any good VW. there is no car (stock or tuned) in the world capable of achieving all of this. on top of that its gorgeus.

Honestly it is not difficult to pull 1000 hp out of an huge 8 liter engine...some companies don´t even need 1 fuckin turbo to achieve this, but this one even needs 4 (!) of them??? poor. And how can 16 cylinders sound like a tractor ploughing a field? VW already confirmed that this car will never be commercially useful for them. I´d rather take a F355 oder anything else beautiful, but never ever this one. This car was entirely unnecessary

Mainly because the veyron has 2 engines in it which at the right rpm at cold tempatures can warp the engines.. so ya.. next to that whats so special about them? a supra can easily hit the same top speed of a veyron max speed on a veyron 252mph max on a supra look it up 5th gear 254mph? with a 6th gear left.. whats so special? tell me?

You can damage ANY new car if you rev it too much. You're suppose to take it easy (break in period) for AT LEAST 1000 miles (not going past 4k RPM).

Now considering this is a Bugatti Veyron, then it still goes without saying why you shouldn't treat it like any other car.

That would be at like...400 kph. At average speeds it gets about 4.25 kpl / 16 miles per gallon, which considering the 16 cylinder engine is incredible.
