its such a shame the way he died, on his own. I can remember reading somewhere that he had very little concern for money and material possesions, a friend who visited him in his flat in London recalled that he had a check for £80,000 just lying on the table, as the window was open the check nearly flew out- the friend caught the check in the nick of time-Benny hill said ' who cares -its only money!- this was in the sixties when £80,000 was a lot (about £1.2 million today)

I did not work on the Benny Hill show after 1990 Thames fired him and just wanted for him to do one or two shows a year I did not like the way Thames treaded him

Only the exteriors were filmed in NYC..the interior scenes were taped at Thames Tv in England. This was also Benny's last tv performance. He was going to do a new series of tv comedy shows..but his untimely death ended that.

I worked on the Benny Hill show for ten years

he was a great guy a bit shy but very down to earth I miss him and he was not that old that was the part he played Jackie was a lot more funny than Benny and bob Todd beat them both.
