  • 2:29 exams can do that? yikes

  • @40 wow bubble fish

  • ENNNNNJO KOSAI MASSS!!!!

  • ...why is there subtitles?...

  • there very good :D

  • hmmm their english is good, actually.

  • 0:52

    This is the incovenient truth:

    Haters ganna hate.

  • Now i do understand what you guys/girls are saying, i do, however, boring or not... a MAJOR part... no... the BIGGEST part of English is the grammar, thats just how it is, im sorry, i dont want to sound mean or like a "grammer nazi"... but thats just how it is. Please respect that, when I learned Japanese I stuck through it and learned the proper grammer for words and phrases and later on, sentences, its no differant then you guys learning Enlgish with the exception that it is mandatory there...

  • @shoezomaku now that doesnt mean you have to always use the proper grammer for everything, especially if you are typing or texting or hanging out with your friends, but just like using Japanese in Japan... it is all too important to have a very formal and fluent grasp of English in America or to Americans that arent too fimiliar with you... or other parts of the world too... (im an American and I live in America so thats why im using that example)

  • If this is how you feel, I hope your dreams come true!

  • 1:23 IN SHORT

/i realize she herself is short/

    ROFLMAO!!!

  • 1:22 IN SHORT

/i realize she herslf is short/

    ROFLMAO!!!!!

    "Sing songs!"

    So Kawaii!

    and also "Use english!"

And the girl with red hair has the best accent and is hot. xD

    Japanese girls are cute!

    haha

  • @AndThenIFoughtForHer shut up u fat fucking american perv leave the japanese girls alone

  • @brbdndwtf fuck you, how do you know he is American? your very rascist? hes not even being that bad, is it illegal to say that someone is attractive?

  • @shoezomaku american is not a race,so i cant be racist.....u americans just throw""racist" at everything man just grow some balls and come with a better excuse.

  • @brbdndwtf "grow some balls" man if only you knew... americans are as much of a race as africans or english or japanese. and your the one that is singling out americans therefore you are setting americans under a special catagory, and there you go again, "u americans" that is putting americans as a seperate entitiy which in this case... is, a... RACE. and you act like all americans are the same, so by your logic i should say that ALL male japanese men like groping girls on the trains?

  • @shoezomaku ah man just shut up,watch some japanese tv or something, and if i say "u americans" I have my reasons and i can say whatever i want so go eat another burger if you are so mad.

  • @brbdndwtf and your reasons are wrong, automatically, no matter what, there is no justification for putting an entire race in a single category. you are just so full of hate and spite and you spread it around like a disease, even through comments you can still manage to piss me off... but if you want to be ignorant and a biget and hate the world for being differant... then i guess thats your choice....

  • @shoezomaku u give yourself to much importance buddy,I dont hate its just facts and if u say america is a race then u are the ignorant one,its not like im gona hurt you or any american in any way,i have better things to do but ths is youtube and if telling you to go fuck yourself makes me feel good then thats what i do,not my fault you take it so personal,u dont even know if i am laughing or im mad,u dont know if i am serous or just bored.....u dont mean anything to me

  • @brbdndwtf i assume your not mad if you were not just a worthless troll i wouldnt give you the time of day i like giving trolls fuel, keeps me from being bored, you think you mean anything to me? whether you want to accept it or not, you have been keeping ME from being bored. however i stand by you being an ignorant rascist, and you abviously havent gotten what i meant when i said were as much of a race as africans or japanese... study linguistics and then ill argue with you some more

  • @brbdndwtf a few hundred peices doesnt complete the whole 312+ million piece puzzle you douche.... dont lop everyone together.... im really trying to stay calm and "turn the other cheek" but people like you piss me off, people who think they are better because they are born somewhere differant then someone else, something that they cant even control btw...

  • @shoezomaku YEAH MAN, HIGH FIVE!

  • @erdavis7 (if your serious) then... YEA HIGH FIVE Xd

  • Japanese girls are so adorable and cute..

  • the guy was really cute^_^

I WANT TO GO TO JAPAN!!!!! I would teach people conversational english so they wont be so tense and some slang too.

I wouldnt mind teaching this guy some english ;)

  • I understood some of the Japanese used :D I'm makin progress

  • i want to learn japanese!!!!!!

  • Man, Japanese girls are so hot.

  • Skipping over how good those girls looked like, Japanese is a difficult language to learn for an European or American person, just because it relies on a whole different set of principles. And it's just as hard for them to speak English. The difference is that you don't have to learn Japanese to get along in life, but they do have to learn English if they ever want to have international business relations of any kind. Japanese English teachers should do their job properly.

  • Random dude popped up and I was like "O__O;;; W-What... What's with the random hot guy and all the hot girls?! D: "

  • @x3xNoelle Harem!!!

  • did you hear it?

    USE ENGLISH!!

  • but they's Asian! Impossible!

  • I would drive a freight train of hardcock into this classroom.

  • the boy was really annoyed ^^ too much super hot grls to talk ! ^^

  • I think that one girl with the dyed hair was fluent lol.

  • The dude is like "why the hell am I here".

  • Holy fuck, that guy is in heaven!!!

  • Learning a second and third language is very liberating I think. Whenever I meet someone, I've come to expect to be able to freely communicate with them, no matter where they may be from.

Of course I hold no delusions of knowing every concievable language, so this is a mutual effort folks! Thanks, to all who bothered learning to communicate internationally, for enriching the usefulness of my own efforts.

And englishfags: don't get lazy just because you're the default. Pick up japanese or smthng.

  • I'll teach you guys about English if you teach me Japanese. I want to sing songs in a different language too. Many classes in America don't even offer the chance to learn Japanese in JH,HS or College :[ .

  • There's a huge difference between American English and just plain English, sadly... Based on the amount of emphasis and inflection on a word, it could change the whole meaning of a sentence. I won't go on a rant though, good presentation! ^_^

  • *sniff* I WANNA GO TO JAPAN~!!!

  • write our own idears! 8P

  • Why are they all moving around in circles? This is making me fucking dizzy.

  • Brilliant vid, very positive message Thanks

  • i was told japanese schoolgirl wear their uniform everywhere.....anime lied to me....

  • I got halfway through the video before i started laughing. lol

But seriously, the red-heads English was spot on.

  • @legendry307 I know right! I was like. ":D Yay! Go English learners in Japan"! I mean, really, there was barely any mistakes in thew whole thing. :3

  • Japanese women are so gorgeous

  • Omg the guy is soooo akward!

  • The girl with glasses is very attractive.

  • @gregorstuhlbein And she talks well for a non-native speaker of English.

  • Only one Guy in class...I wonder why?! lol

  • Lol, one guy.

  • This video is so true. I guess if the Japanese teacher wont change the system, our only hope are the foreign teachers. I myself get used to the language.

  • This is like a self help video. Like...I kinda wanna stand up at the end and hold my chin up like..."Yeah !! I CAN...be SOMEBODY!!! "

  • I feel in love 20 times in this video

  • they have all a pretty good english but most of japanese don't improve it in everyday life....

  • Dont' watch Japanese speaking English. Don't watch English and Japanese people speaking English. Watch TWO English people speaking English to each other. You can't do this in school.

You need to immerse yourself, spend time in groups of English people and watch. Trust me.

  • The secret of learning any language quickly, especially Japanese or English, is IMMERSION.

Too many Japanese students in London, live with Japanese, speak Japanese, read Japanese, the only time they immerse is at their school. They make no effort to get to know English people or watch genuine English conversation. Immersion is the key. Immerse yourselves.

  • 2:25 Woah, that's pretty intense. Those exams must be pretty bad if they can literally kill a person.

That aside though, I think this is a well made video with an important message :)

  • 1:18 "idears" hahaha that's how my cousins say it too

  • Just talk in English first, regardless whether you're using the perfect grammar or not. After gaining bit of traction and confidence, one could converse more in English in the future.

  • 文法は確かにつまらん。でも最も欠かせんもの。

Learning grammer is surely boring, but without it we, Japanese, won't be able to improve our skills of foreign languages.

  • @toransu Thank you for replying in Japanese! I didn't mean that we don't need to practice pronunciation and speaking. I think, too, that we should listen to and talk English at first. However, only doing them, we wouldn't be able to go further domain. Sorry for my English. I tried as far as possible.

  • say the truth guyz.....and girls.....you came here to see these hot chicks and girlz for boyz right?! i came to see them....not the boyz.:P

  • The semi blonde girl has really good English. She must have lived in America for a year or two. Also, how does anyone find girly Japanese guys attractive at all?

  • ok first that japanese dude was HOT! second... why don't we have an exchange student program?! they send japanese people here and we send americans there and we can teach each other both languages! :D i wanna visit japan anyway.

  • @cutiepuff247 Since he was the only one, and it IS Japan..Are you 100% sure that it's a guy?

  • @cutiepuff247 i think we do have such a program....(according to this one website)

  • @cutiepuff247 are you from America or somewhere? :D

  • japanese is like the best language ever made, that boy is gorgeous finally i saw a gorgeous japanese! lol

  • Well, learning Japanese in England with just a book to help you isn't any easy either...

  • @2:25 ...... O.O

  • 0:10 she is gorgeous ^_~

  • its the same story in any country. in mexico people think the same like you guys! to much grammar, very little real practice!

I believe the english classes has to be more like when you learn from little kid to talk, little by little and first talk, later writing and at the end how writing properly.

    Good video!

  • in soviet russia english teaches you!

  • @waxthepro Yes, yes it does.

  • Haaha!!!! good thing im from the Philippines!!...:D

  • @TheAnime10lover 20 times Worst.

  • What do they want? sympathy? my school never taught me japanese!!!!! (>_<)

  • this one really nice. it is true in my country Vietnam, too. Some Vietnamese JHS and HS focus on math, physics, and chemistry more than foreign language subject like English. It has been 4 years since i graduated HS, I dont know if our English teaching system changed yet.

  • The tall one with the glasses is the hottest.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my god, they're all so cute. :D

  • aww:)

  • I've met many exchange students from Japan and this is completely true. They've studied English for most of their life in Japan and when they come to the US they find they can't actually speak English. I guess you really have to live in a country to learn the language well.

  • why the guy appears out of the blue lolx

  • I don't entirely understand the situation. I just came here from watching Vocaloid videos. But, nevertheless, I think it's fantastic what you're trying to accomplish here! Good job, everyone!

  • I think its wonderful that you guys put this together and are sending your board a video explaining how and why you think the way English is taught is not effective for all students. Way to go guys and I hope it does change for you! I think its much better to be able to use English effectively as well as know the grammar. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Philippines has the best English teachers at very reasonable cost. You should visit here since a lot of Koreans, Japanese, etc. already did and they're really effective in teaching. XD

  • so there aren't good English teachers in Japan, well on a positive note, they speak better English than I speak Japanese

I think the best way to learn is to go live in the country for a while

  • I am currently in Canada. I plan to go to Japan to teach english. Currently I am learning Japanese.

    今、私はカナダにいます。英語を教えるために日本へ行く計画します。今、日本語を学んでいます。

  • @Matty5122 Problem is, most of the english teachers in japan come from your side of he ocean so they all end up with american accents! Need more british teachers to teach proper english i think!

  • @keepitauthenticppl I'm sorry but American english is the english that is taught all over the world. So American english is the proper english.

  • @Nikotiini69 What a load of boooolllockss. There's a reason why it called 'english' not 'american'. If you want to learn english e.g correct spellings of words, hire british teachers.

  • @keepitauthenticppl It is a fact that what you call "american" is taught instead of "english". I've been in 3 different schools here in Finland and none of our English teachers have taught anything else than "american". If an Englishman went to pretty much anywhere where english is not the main language, he would find it really hard to be understood with his weird accent, since it's not taught anywhere! Don't get me wrong, I like "english".

  • @Nikotiini69 I'm sorry, but you're incorrect. American English is preferred in some Asian countries as they're so obsessed about American culture, but other countries don't like the accent or some of the vocab.

  • @Matty5122 hey same here! well, i live in Britain, but same dream!

  • These ideas sound a little bit like they have come from the teacher first. As long as Japanese unis use grammar and reading tests, that is what they are going to teach for in HS. End of story

  • The dude 's kinda like the Japanese version of Napoleon Dynamite.

  • As far as 'native speaker' teachers go, the schools and school boards do not hire foreigner English teachers. Instead, they pay an 'Agency' whose only job is to get foreigners to teach English.

These agencies pretend they are getting great teachers. Actually, they are paying the teachers far less than expected so no real, qualified teachers would ever accept the deal. They also lie to the public schools, hiring people who arent native speakers (Eg. Nigerians) and say they train them (they dont)

  • @SkateAustralia too true dude, i met a korean girl (im a korean/white guy) and I asked her (in korean) what she was doing in japan, she told me she was teaching english. i really didn't believe her for about 10 minutes until she started getting offended by my lack of belief lol, her english was, like, well it was practically non-existent! she could say a few words and phrases, and understand(but not speak) about 20% of english, and AN ANGENCY HIRED HER!! what a joke man!

  • This is why its all about grammar:

The teachers who teach at the public schools in Japan, even those who are in charge of teaching English,MOST (90%) of the time cannot speak even basic, conversational English.

In short, The English teachers can't speak English. They have to teach it somehow though, so they just tell students to translate things and memorise grammar and then use the tests from textbooks.

The teachers cannot teach speaking because they cant even speak themselves.

  • At first i was like, "oh this is a nice video :)" And then the guy appeared. I started cracking up..

  • The girl at 0:43 speaks great English. Seriously.

  • the guy trolled it

  • ..The girl in White is so cute, I almost fainted.

  • girls!!!!

  • I don´t know who had made this video but I only have one question. If I go to Japan as an exchange student, would you guys or students in Japan like me? I´m half Asian and Europe, Swedish and Thai. Please answer me, I am curious and scared :((:

  • @SilverGunZoO Buddy, the guy was asking a valid point. He didn't 'fail' at anything and is not a loser, just like in the west, there is racism everywhere and the japanese are KNOWN for being racist. They can legally put signs up on their businesses stating that they will not sell to foreigners and 'no foreigners aloud'. There isn't even a word for 'racism' in the japanese language. This kid just wanted to know if he will fit in because of his looks. you're a fucking cunt.

  • Comment removed

  • @SilverGunZoO hahahah look at you getting all angry, why dont you go kill yourself you filthy little fuck, you know 'japan' better than me? i lived there for 8 years bruh, and what THE FUCK has being able to speak the language got to do with anything, hahah you fucking trash, just a fuckin idiot, ''i know japan better than you'' how you know that bro? bahaha what a fucking loser, kill yourself you peice of cunt rash, but beforehand, make sure to give your moms cunt a nice big lick!

  • @theophilis You have no life, you never lived anywhere, loser.

  • @SilverGunZoO lol yeah remove your comment fag, and while you're at it, kill yourself hahaha loser

  • @theophilis I have no interest in talking to a lifeless looser, piss off.

  • @theophilis Sabetsu / jinshusabetsu?

  • @llamatube jinnsyusabetu...... now i feel like an idiot -_- lol sorry, i didn't even know that word and had asked a few of my friends who are japanese if there was a word for racism and they all said 'mmmm, no i dont think so' so my bad lol. jinnsyusabetsu means like, treating someone a different way because of their nationality but it is really an add on to the first word sabetsu which means treating someone differently... but close enough i suppose:), thanks!

  • @mikaelning if you are a darker asian than maybe a little bit of discrimination will come your way, nothing too bad though. I'm korean/australian so im white/asian too and have lived in Japan. If you look more white than Asian you will be liked a lot but if you look more asian than white, you will be treated the same as every other japanese person. dont worry too much man.

  • @mikaelning Vad trevligt! Ska själv till japan snart :D vart ska du studera? Jag skulle iaf inte basera mitt omdöme på utseende vet inte hur det ser ut med majoriteten i japan... men knappast så att jag tror du blir utfryst. I hope u understand swedish ;)

  • The guy in the video is really cute xD

  • woooah awesome hair 1:15

  • this made me want to be an english teacher more in japan... ~.~... and if i'll be soon a teacher there... one of my goals will be i'll change their way of teaching english it'll be more on participation... just like how they taught us here in my country... and it'll be more fun!!

  • Im not sure about japan but there a ton of country's where english movies are over dubbed to there own language and the same goes for games originating from english country's. Im from the Netherlands and here this is not the case. Without schooling i could speak fluently english just by watchting tv and playing games. They should just subtitle everything not from your country. Young kids will learn new languages very fast this way.

  • I couldn't help but laugh when that guy popped up at 1:15 "Give Presentations..."

  • @TreyhaThrice i liked the '' write our own ideaers hahaha

  • @TreyhaThrice You raff, you ruse...
