  • 1973 Plymouth Fury. I want one.

  • The Dude & The Man. I never saw this movie until last night. When this scene came on I just KNEW this was going to be a crazy cool movie. Of course, I shoulda known that just by the prescence of one C. Eastwood. I gotta catch up on my 70s movies. So many classics from that decade. They say it was the best.

  • Good clip, but there is no way they could have driven away in that car :)

  • The retard driver is hilarious funny and also if you see the scene were Clint and Bridge hitchhike.

  • George Kennedy was great in this film!

  • "We're gettin' gassed back here" LOL

  • This scene always cracked me up when I was a kid.

  • this bring bak of memory when i saw this in the theaters (70s when it came out) i couldn't stop laughing jus goes 2 show dont acept rides from stranger the days of hitch hiking are over

  • This movie is classic , love it I recommend to anyone.

  • I owned one. It was by far my favorite car, i owned.

When your done watching the Rabbit Shoot, one of the greatest scenes television ever produced, you can go to my channel and see my low cost tribute, i made, to my '73 Plymouth Gran Sedan.

  • Did it have the 440 cu. inch I think, like the Fury. I remember the cops had those things. State Police too. Man did they haul ass on the interstate.

    peace.

  • I want that car lol

    cheers for putting this up

  • hahaha lmao i swear i vote this scene to be the funniest in history. too classic!

  • My favorite "crazy guy" scene in a great movie. What kind of car is that? A Barracuda?

  • ooops, OK, that's def. not a Barracuda...

  • jeez, once I get obsessed... that's a 1970 Plymouth Fury...

gawd, i love this scene! I wanna go back to the drive-in and see this again!

  • 1973 Fury ;-)

That would have made this a new car at the time of filming - that crazy guy hot-rodded it pretty quickly!

  • It is a 1970 model Fury.

  • This is a 1973 Fury, it's instantly recognizable from the front end 5 MPH bumper and headlight arrangement, the earlier ones had hidden headlights, headlights surrounded by the bumper, etc. They had different rear end styling too.

That was the last year those "fuselage" style Chrysler full-size cars were in production too.

  • You're right, it is a '73. Someone told me ages ago, that style was a '70, and I had that miss-information in my head for years.

I don't keep up on Mopars, so I never knew any better.

  • Yeah I never knew much of the difference before my dad got a 73 Chrysler...more or less the same car. I think that style came out in 69 and they changed them a little every year

  • Its Bill Mckinney the guy from Deliverance. Yes THAT guy! The doer! Squeeeeeeeeeel like a pig!! Him and Eastwood are friends, and Bill often had parts in his films.

  • Yeh, Mckinney also played a cop, in "The Gauntlet" who met an unfortunate demise.

  • What we uh REquire, is you get your damn ass up in these woods...

  • if you notice when they flip the car the tire pops off and then they end up driving it againg. a little bit of movie magic i guess

  • They put the spare tire on. That's why they are taking the rabbits out of the trunk.

  • good call.... never thought of it that way

  • Brilliant, one of my favourite films!

  • This is one of my favorite DVDs. Get it if you don't have it.

  • the dude abides

  • "hey, you're good man...i saw that, that was very good"....

  • Bridges has so many funny lines in this movie, that is one of my favorites. His character always had a cliche for every occasion. "You're as young as you feel","A rolling stone gathers no moss""You can't judge a book by its cover" etc. I also like the part where he's on the river boat and says "Did you see that?! Steelhead!" I also like the part where he puts his hand over George Kennedy's mouth and kisses the back of his hand. He was hilarious in this movie!

  • did PETA know about this shit ? Eastwood is great !

  • did PETA know about this ? I love Eastwood

  • man i love that car

  • haha fuckin right,its a weapon!!!

  • totally redneck awsome shit.
