To all real humans that watch this PLZ do your research see who are this people who is pushing this agenda and plz DO NOT SUPPORT then well ofc if you are not a godless human who will be happy to see the world being corrupted by half baked intelectuals and illluminaty scum bags. this is one of the high lvls of the piramid .The AI is a idol , Idols are not God they will never be .

and they can t ever build some thing that can actuly be smart cuz they can't implant intuition in to a machine (no body knows what intuition is ) but this lil guys are like LiL wayne and Kaney West when Eistien who is more like 2pac said not long ago :
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” Albet Einstein 1879-1955 winner of Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921 . NEWBS
@shebotnov intuition is when you think so fast/find solution , that your brain can't spell it out.is the way of the nature- when logic is the way of the idiot who thinks that thinking is the biggest factor in logical thinking....no it is not feeling is what is the highest form of logic but u need to do years meditaion to find this out. do not worry does computer gurus have spiritual teachers who teach them the truth and for you scum bags they just drop fake shit.
"The AI does not hate you, nor does it love you, but you are made out of atoms which it can use for something else." (Eliezer Yudkowsky)
If you guys can support something like this then you are just bots AI trolls.
' The notion of an "intelligence explosion" is key to the singularity. It was first described thus by Good (1965).... and the intelligence of man would be left far behind ' .
O yeah lets push something that is suporior and view us as energy/food/material.
@Usomadbros and ? Hitler chaged the world .Stalin did . The atom bomb did change the world .Transe humanism is for noobs and only 1% of the people that support it know the truth behind this agenda .Ok go do it build a tower to the sky and reach God.Then we will see what is going to happen. Noobs if Eistein was here he will bitch slap the shit out of this godless shitheads.
At 17:26 (and in fact for some time before it) I find myself wondering "Why doesn't he just transfinitely induct on the arithmetic hierarchy?" Of course, if you could define a symbol kappa for the first inaccessible cardinal, you could then say "OK, use P+kappa; now no matter how many times we self-improve - even if we self-improve transfinitely many times - we don't decrease our confidence in maths." Unfortunately, defining kappa creates paradoxes rather like P+self.
I second SmartK8's comment. I look forward to the bursting of the Yudkowskky bubble, so that he has to get a job at Walmart and see how ordinary people have to live.
I'd like to know Eliezer's secret for dropping out of high school, not going to college, never having to hold a real job, and yet somehow talking people into giving him money so he can live the EXPENSIVE Bay Area, get polyamorous sex (or so he claims on his OKCupid page), and spend his days writing Harry Potter fan fiction.
This guy is uneducated, unemployed and talking mumbo jumbo. Why should I listen to him again? IMO: Definitely the worst speech on this summit. His introduction: research fellow. :D
I agree with the person who asked the first question, a human like ai modifying its own code would know that it couldn't ever have infinite certainty that he/she had ever modified its own code to the ideal solution to the problem they are trying to improve. Isn't a softer approach more likely to create something 'stable' or 'friendly' as the goal is stated to be?
@freethought78 It's difficult to speculate on these matters with out an understanding of the technologies and techniques which will make them a reality. You for example, may be asking the wrong questions or your questions might have no relevance altogether. First of all, all current progress points to robots which will be "good enough" to do jobs that humans currently occupy. I personally doubt that we will soon have conscious AI, That is insane to me at this point.
@lordjavathe3rd Another point is that the idea of consciousness might disappear all together. We may find out that our consciousness is extremely limited to some biological imperatives. Where in it would be ludicrous to create an AI with the same biological drives. So the kinds of robotic consciousness we create would be able to discuss with us, be a companion, but have different motifs and wishes. We currently understand our awareness with violence, sexuality, and reptilian needs
@lordjavathe3rd To deny an AI those desires would be to deny them major elements of our consciousness. Would a being truly be awake if it did not have our human motivations? What if we chose their motivations? If the AI could communicate, express their thoughts, behave independently, and seek out fulfillment, would it be awake? I think so. But to create an AI with the alpha male need to dominate and see if it will be peaceful, well you get the point.
@lordjavathe3rd Consiousness is a"Theory"of the mind. Strong AI need's to be self improving. (Q) Is it possible/probable that such software will be developed over the next 20, 40 year's ? As insane as it sound's, I would say yes.
If Yudkowsky is the HMFIC in the field of artificial intelligence, I'm not too optimistic about progress in the field. In this talk he seems more interested in riffing on word games and equations rather than talking about real advances in his field. Disappointing.
An ordinary utility maximiser calculates its future utility conditional on it choosing to defect - and do the same conditional on it choosing to cooperate. If it knows it its is playing the Prisoner's Dilemma against its clone it will expect the clone to make the same deterministic decisions that it does. So, it will choose to cooperate - since that maximises its own utility. That is what behaviour to expect from a standard utility maximiser.
