It is nice to see someone who cares about In Reverie enough to learn the basslines. That album is soooo mint! Just in case anyone didn't know, Chris wrote a lot of the bass riffs for saves the day songs.
To the person asking about the basses he used: He did indeed use an Ibanez very early on. After that he used an Ernie Ball Stingray (the TBC days). During the early SWYA days he used a natural Fender Jazz Bass mostly, but beyond that period he pretty much exclusively played various 70s vintage Fender Precision Basses. I've seen photos of him playing a Rickenbacker as well, during an acoustic set.
I believe back in the 90's he used a what looked like a ernie ball musicman bass, and then up till he quit the band it looked like a fender jazz bass. But I'm sure he probably used some other ones, but i'm pretty sure toward the end of his days with saves the day was a standard fender J-bass
It's a breath of fresh air to see a true, practiced musician go to work. Not like these stupid youngsters posting their horrible chops and doing Pete Townsend arm circles. Good job dude. Send those turds back to the Guitar Hero game where they belong...

Eben was an amazing bassist, I don't really dig this newer stuff but his lines from Through Being Cool were great.

I've seen a really really old picture of him using an Ibanez ATK series bass. Just didn't know if it was the 300 or the 700.

Did Eben use an Ibanez ATK300 or 700? If anyone knows, I'd appreciate it. I can't find an answer anywhere.
