Not supposed to use 50/50 coolent after a flush, theres already water sitting in the block and in the hose so if you use 50/50 your just wasting money and watering it down even more.
I've been reading up and looking at videos on how to flush the radiator. you are the only person who took the resevior tank out .I have a question when you took it out and cleaned it out. after you put it back into place what did you fill it with?
Too bad I have to use distilled water...the water from this region is so stacked with minerals, calcium, and iron it would probably be worse for the system if I flushed it with hose water.
ok i got it band of horses - the funeral lmao that was literally driving me nuts...i was like I KNOW I KNOW THAT SONG BUT CLASSIC ROCK IS BLOCKIN MY BRAIN!!!!
ok so this is driving me crazy at the beginning of this video there are two songs playin and the name of the song in the background is on the tip of my tounge but classic rock is distractin me lol.....pls help me out with this
Thank you sooo much! You're a life saver. I'm trying to learn DIY car maintenance and this was my first coolant flash. I'm not even sure how many years ago it may have been done professionally. Anyway, I've got a Nissan Sentra GXE with the GA16DE engine. The old school Sentra manual I found on the internet got me started, but the drain plug and air relief were nowhere to be found.. Until I found your video! Everything matched except the engine plug next to turbo. It leaked oil when I tried it.
hey could you take a video of the turbo or tell me what cupler u used to fit the pipe that comes from the intercooler to the turbo since the turbo air is exiting is smaller than the one it is going into.
that type of coupler is called a "step-down". You can usually buy a step-down for your application, simply measure the size of your turbo outlet and the size of your intercooler or intercooler charge pipe. Most companies sell a variety of step-down sizes. Just choose the correct one for your application.
I would also suggest that you use purified water to refill your radiator so that your radiator wont develop moneral deposits or scales that hinder heat transfer
Got any tips on removing the thermostat? I picked up a 95 Sentra a few days ago and I think the thermostat might be bad, the temp gauge doesn't show it's overheating, but the lower rad hose is cool to the touch when the car is at running temperature. I really hope it's just a bad thermostat
I see the tube that is on the back of the valve cover is not connected to its stock location on the intake manifold... where is it connected and does this help performance???
I have an 87 Sentra that I'm trying to flush the radiator after installing a new water pump, but I can't even find the drain plug ANYWHERE!!! I've looked everywhere underneath the radiator but can find nothing. Any suggestions?
on the B12s, the radiator drain cock is directly below the radiator hose from the cylinder head to the radiator. It is at the very bottom of the radiator.
Didn't thank about it like that. It makes sence though ill shoot for 12psi then. I have the 259cc injectors from the sr20/ka24de. Along with the safc neo. Should be an excellent combo. maf sensor wise im going with a maf from a maxima forgot what year and model but its a N60 maf kinda like nate's b12 but from a different motor. I believe its good for 18psi I may be wrong on that. Thanks for the info and I would love to host sometime but I have no software to edit. guess I could just freestyle
glad to see videos are still being made but there's one thing. Water hoses have lead in them. I am sure your suppose to use distilled water in the radiator so there's no chance of rust or contaminants in the motor. On the other hand I understand this is an example. Thanks again btw did you ever fix that boost controller problem?
You are right about the distilled water. Yes I fixed my boost controller by changing out the crappy ebay one for a hallman, and it is fantastic. It's set at 10psi now I will probably shoot for 15 but I'm not sure how the clutch will do with that.
Yes and wes from the forums ran like 18psi on a gt28 with stock internals, our cars are very strong from the factory. The biggest limits are the head gasket and the air metering system (easily fixed with a new maf and ecu). 10psi on the T20 is great, but my datalogger says the thats all my maf can take, but I've got a pretty good idea for that hopefully coming soon
hey i got a q why when i hooked up 2 extra flashers on my front bumber one of the corner wont light up when running normal but it flashes tho any idea y pls reply
Thank you again for posting w/attention to the two smaller bleed screws; I found them right away.

How necessary is it to open the air-bleed screws?

why do you have to turn on the heater full blast when flushing the system?

Sometimes gunk from the coolant will clog it, try flushing it first.

oh what does B12 refer to? How do I know what I have? Mine is an 87 Sentra hatchback with an E series engine, that's all I know.
bg11215 2 years ago
any Sentra model between 1987-1990 are B12s. It is the chassis code. Both the E-series and GA-series have the same radiators, I believe.

holy hell your shooting for 15psi? on stock internals? and hows the 10psi doing on it. is it strong?
nicholas0142003 2 years ago
You have to realise 15lbs on a T20 is about 10-12lbs on a T25 (though I am not quite sure what A/R rating the T20 is).
