  • Quick Tip: Set the difficulty to Expert. Even tho this makes their hits more lethal, this can be greatly recompensed since the amount of XP you get is higher. I recommend you do this only for conjurations skills and stuff that doesn't get you hurt..

  • it is an easier way to level conjuration

just cast a soul trap on any dead creature and wait for an hour in game time when you are out of magic, then do it again

  • I personally like summoning a familiar (better for Bretons) while also casting oak flesh (cheapest), then summoning two bound swords. With the reduction perks, it costs about 143 magicka all in all. Hit the familiar with one bound sword, and when it becomes aggressive, your conjuration will go up from 1) The familiar, not in combat, 2) the left bound sword, now in combat, and 3) the right bound sword, also in combat. This also helps level alteration.

15 (25?) to 45 will level up per use.

  • Thanks you so much for the vid! Out of all the power level videos I've seen, this is the only one that makes any goddamn sense!

By the way, when leveling Destruction against Mammoths, use Frostbite, since they have frost resistence and can therefore take more abuse.

  • @tiakpark Heh thanks. Could you explain how exactly this video "makes any goddamn sense"? :) Because you don't need specific gear to do this?

To be honest I don't know exactly how Destruction magic levels or how does enemy resistances affect skill leveling. Anyways, it's much easier to craft yourself four items with +25% Dest. & Rest magic cost reducing gear and put your controller/mouse auto-fire on a horse you've bought. It still takes hours, but game does all the work for you.

  • @MJ1284 Sorry, I was just pissed at all those "tortue your horse" power leveling vids. No originality there. This makes more sense because you can train all other magic schools, too. I just did this and used Frostbite on the mammoths. I think I gained 4 levels in 10 or so minutes.

So I really mean it, thanks.

  • If you kill the mammoths, would they respawn there again at a later date? Or do they disappear forever? Also, do you happen to know what souls they give off when they die?

  • @BulletBer I've red & confirmed that Mammoths and Giants take 30 days (roughly a month) to respawn, steer clear of areas where Mammoths and Giants reside (visiting cleared place resets the respawn timer). I'm pretty sure Mammoths give Grand souls when you kill them (either Soul Trap them first or use weapon with "if enemy killed within XX seconds traps soul").

  • Even easier is when you learn the "Equilibrium" spell and combine it with "Healing". I started that up with a rubber band to hold the two triggers down and let it roll (I don't know what a PC player would have to do, a code maybe?). My rate of healing is just a tiny bit slower than my rate of health-magic so I have to check on it every once in awhile.

  • @GreenBeretta23 I didn't know Equilibrium fills Alteration, I tried it in combat but I didn't notice any increase in Alteration skill bar... maybe I didn't look close enough. Telekinesis if much quicker way to level Alteration IMO but I guess Equili works too if you're patient. Maybe if you had item that boosts Health Regen you could have left it running on it's own?

  • @MJ1284 To be completely honest, I'm not sure I saw Alteration go up either. o.O I know i saw Restoration, but not Alteration. I'll have to try Telekinesis though, sounds better than trying to cheat but having to check it all the time. And I should have thought of the health regen idea... darn it. Thanks MJ! You're full of all sorts of good ideas! :D

  • @MJ1284 i never got a skillup form using equilibrium =( didnt matter if i was in combat or not... never got a skillup form using equilibrium...

  • All the schools of magic don't need to be in combat to be increased.

Alteration, Illusion, and Conjuration will increase when cast on a proper target.

Conjuration also increases slowly while a summoned ally is in combat.

Restoration only goes up if you actually heal/prevent damage.

Destruction onnly goes up if you hit things with it.

  • @KradYsuom What you said is true, but can you think of other way to raise magic & Light/Heavy Armor & Blocking skills simultaneously? There might be faster ways to increase skills individually, but this trick is relatively safe even for low leveled characters.

  • @MJ1284

I'm not saying this isn't usefull, it is, but I just didn't want people thinking this is the only way to level up their magic skills

  • how do you learn new spells and conjuration spells??

  • @CigIslandTV Just buy a spellbook from a vendor, go to inventory and read it.
