  • how lucky u r girl!!! u married a japanese man and also have a japanese band!!! damn i want to hava japanese band too!!! TwT

  • 3:40

Yeah...not what i was thinking at all.

  • Married a Japanese women and also Live in Japan. The international marriage thing is tougher than people think. Funny I totally understand about miscommunication. Everyday we have little spats due to misunderstanding what the other said. I would like be able to have a flowing conversation with my own wife someday. That's the dream. :) Good video.

  • Although diet and grooming products may affect scent, it is likely that you are emitting pheromones that give you a characteristic scent. It is possible that he does not emit pheromones the way you do, or you are unable to smell them; hence his seeming lack of scent. That you have your own scent may be a BONUS in his opinion.

Old Romani trick is to bury the hands in the armpits before a job interview. Lots of handshaking. Interviewer will unconsciously think of person even after gone. Works. :)

  • ha...me married to japanese too n im malay ..language misundestanding yet its fun ha!matane

  • she has super thin lips

  • start watching at 2:40

  • Oh my itchy fingers... the 'all statistics are irrelavent' comment. How can you say that? If someone said to you that a type of car you want to buy is nine times out of ten prone to breakdowns, would you buy? Or simply say, 'Everyone's experience is different.'

Admittedly, the heart follows a crooked path but then again.. if you are thinking of having kids, unless you are pretty damn sure about your love do you want to take such a gamble (stats again) with their future.

    As usual love the vid.

  • @Sarusource Um...9 out 10 blah, blah IS a statistic. If you bought 100 cars and 90 of them broke down, then your experience would be worth something. YOUR SINGLE EXPERIENCE is not. Why? Your body is and intellect and personality is not the same as everyone else's and so the way you are treated cannot be the expectation. See? But thanks for the support.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman You wouldn't be wary (or at least asking questions) if you were aware that 100 folk had bought that particular brand and only ten had walked away happy, you wouldn't be asking a few questions, looking for guarentees, possibly even thinking about other alternatives? As humans, we are all able to learn from other's experiences. Some are just aware that you can learn with numbers (describing human behaviour - that's all) too.

  • @Sarusource

Again, I don't think you understand that statistical relevance is far more important than anecdotal evidence. MANY humans and many separate experiences can create a statistically reliable data base and I would listen to it. So, yes, if 100 folk bought some brand and only 10 walked away happy I would be wary. I never said different. But if only one person bought one product... well I wouldn't write off the product right away.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman I'm confused. What did you say at 1:25 ?

I agree anecdotal evidence can be unreliable. And you seem to be saying that statistical evidence is valid in your posts. I guess I misunderstood or maybe you were a little unclear in your vid?

I don't dismiss Japanese / non-Japanese relationships out of hand, as although I know of a fair few that have crashed or which are struggling, I do know of at least a few successful ones. By this I mean marriages and couples with kids.

  • wow he seems great i want me a japanese guy and im a straight dude lol.

  • plug cooking with dog

  • good for you couple! you seem happy together! godspeed to both of you

  • :(( I dont want to live in Europe cuz it sux, but living in the USA it's a bit too much, and Japan...meh I'm not like that...Is there a place for me? (?)_(?) Maybe on the moon.... >:D

  • @JapaneseAnya I want to live in europe.

  • @GirlOfTheDarknesz Is not that cool. It gets old after a while, like the Cathedral in my town doesn't amaze me anymore..

  • @JapaneseAnya But Europe is certainly better than Brazil. :D

  • @GirlOfTheDarknesz It depends on what you like in a city :p

  • @JapaneseAnya Well it depends where you go in America because we have all sorts of weather and towns^-^. The cities aren't my favorite, but the country sides north west are great, like Washington and Oregon. I live in San Diego and its pretty nice and the people and weather isn't too bad either.

  • @MrRookitty I'm considering LA or NY but Im not really sure...

  • @JapaneseAnya LA is not very pleasant at all! The air is sticky and smelly and the people are rude, plus the traffic is horrible. New York would probably be better if you can find a good section.

  • @JapaneseAnya hahahahahah, u are not likt what THAT? dont u like Japan?

  • @MsAlucard1000 I've had to change countries once and I seriously don't want to relive that experience so I was thinking of actually knowing the language before I move somewhere and the Japanese are well known for being xenophobes sooo...yeah xD

  • @JapaneseAnya

I know many foreigners who speak little to know Japanese yet live here happily. Enough Japanese speak English that you don't really need it. Signs are in English. etc. You'll be fine. The xenophobia exists but it's mild and pretty non-intrusive.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman Rly? I read not many people understand foreign languages and almost all of them are xenophobes. But I can't trust every article so maybe you're right since you live there :/ Oh well I'll probably get a job that involves a lot of traveling so I won't have to pick a country ^^'

  • @JapaneseAnya

Think about it this way, THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of foreigners live here quite happily. How bad can it be?

  • @JapaneseAnya

Yeah, um... that's bs. Why would so many people come here if it sucked? Right?

  • you guys are a great couple congrats :)

  • same here! long work hours = #1 thing I hate about Japan. No one realizes how bad it is until they come here.

  • Holy shit look at all those guitars XD LUCKY!!!!!!

  • Ill get that book and put it right next to go the F*&^ to sleep

  • Omg, you're so lucky! Japanese guys are so amazing!! AHH!!!! XDDD

  • I guess Victor's right : screw the statistics, if the relationship works then cool . For me , to lack communication ( language ) in a marriage is something that'll stop you from getting closer and connecting .

  • here in australia, its almost like a law to not work past 5

  • what is the point of working until midnight? seriously, nobody is effective after 8-10 hours of work, especially late in the evening...

  • Love is love!

    nationality no matter!

  • I too wanna marry a japanese man! :)

  • @cheesesmiles

    Me too! :3

  • What song is playing in the background of the video? I really like it!

  • @synapsis2112 Thanks!! it is called Late Birthday and it is by our band Project Van . if you search youtube there are some versions of it up and a remix version a friend did that i like!

  • i wanna marry a japanese woman! hook me uPP!! hahaha

  • @WalkureJ アメリカ人に決まってるだろう

  • @bobokk

    LOL!

  • @bobokk

    私が言ってるのは眼鏡の男性じゃなくて、後ろでゲームをやってる男の事なんですけどね。

  • @WalkureJ そうだろうと思いながら書いたから。

  • @WalkureJ nope! he is just Japanese, but his great gramma was Russian I think.

  • He look like Korean. Not Japanese.

  • @NippleOnNippon He's Japanese, but he has a little bit of Russian too. :)

  • there is way way more plaid in this relationship that i would have ever expected. way.

  • OMG IT CATHERINE( The game)

  • Aw, u r so cute couples!

  • he's very cute and seems like a nice man :)

I also wanna marry a japanese man

  • @Gimmeaflakeman So now you stoped not giving a shit and you gave one huh? Because you aswered me after all.. Go suck a big fat dildo bitch cuz obviously, i was right.. Your husband HAS a 10cm dick.. TOPS... Also i'm 21cm if you're intrested... I'd tap you... xx

  • 晴れ→ hare → sunny weather, clear skies or good weather

It looks like we will have good weather. → 晴れそうだ(or 晴れるだろう)

It looks like we will have good weather tomorrow. → 明日は晴れそうだ(or 明日は晴れるだろう)

  • 後ろには何の漢字ですか?この漢字の意味は?

  • i would read that book LOL

  • wtf does she have in her hair...something a 5yr old would?

  • @ninimeru ROFL !!! why should 5 yr olds have al the fun?? LOL actually you know the really sad thing? I get stared at waaaaay less wearing this kinda stuff than if i go out in my country usa fashion of jeans, sneakers, and black leather coat and baseball cap. !!! hahaha

  • Great vid and nice to find a new cool jvlogger. Really good topic to do.

    Thanks man!

  • great music ! 0.0

  • Is it true? もし本当なら同情いたします。

  • such a strange video. i dont think people need to brag about their japanese partners just cuz of their race. having a japanese bf/gf rly is no different than having a bf/gf of any other race

  • @Konatablob in my opinion, she is not bragging about having a japanese partner. Since it's not as common to have intterracial marriages so she's just expressing what it's like having a japanese husband.

  • @gundam22 Hang on, you live in America and you're saying interracial marriages are not common? The only stand out is that this is an asian male, usually (like 99.9%) its a white male with asian female - that is common as muck

  • @LeClassics .... your're getting off topic.. i DID NOT say interracial marriages are not common in AMERICA. I said interracial marriages are not common in JAPAN.

  • @LeClassics First of all your numbers are grossly exaggerated, I have known of plenty of relationships between white women and Asian men. Second the phenomenon you're pointing too is also partly due to the fact that women live in the home country of their husbands far more than men live in the home country of their wives. In Japan the vast majority of marriages involving a spouse who is not from Japan involve a Japanese man and a foreign spouse (usually another Asian, occasionally a westerner).

  • @Konatablob

She is not bragging. I asked her to make this video for this channel as a guest sensei because I get asked quite often about this subject. But I do agree what having a bf/gf is always an individual experience. BUT sometimes we need to remind each other of that.

  • @Gimmeabreakman thanks for explaining, but many videos like this exsist and it does get tiring.

  • @Konatablob

Really? I haven't seen any on youtube. Do a search. This seems to be the only one. (Puzzled.)

  • @Gimmeaflakeman i meant videos about people talking about their japanese partner or how to get a japanese bf or gf videos. it just seems a bit weird to me personally

  • @Konatablob

    Fair enough.

  • its cool you mention ProjectVanBand, its a good channel

  • @westeasttalent isnt it funny? lol though not so funny at the time hahahaha

  • That was really cool!!

    Thank you for sharing!!!

  • Is what you said about money managing the same for men marrying Japanese women?

  • @Ido013 i think i read that about 60-70% of families still do it the way we do.....but i dunno how scientific that study is. whichever, it is still different for each family. sometimes women are not good money managers and in that case the husband would do it....sometimes the duty is shared.

so, it:s also situational. It:s just that the concept of the woman handling it is commonplace, but not totally set in stone.

  • lol! money works the opposite way in japan than america where the saying goes "never give a woman your credit card"

  • I hope the Blue Collar work isn't as long!

  • For some odd reason... I found myself going back to the everybodydies book thing... I think I'll go to the website...

Its nice that she told us what its like to be married to a Japanese man...

But I'm a guy and id like to know what's it like to get married to a Japanese woman? Can you tell us Sensei? thnx!

  • @MANNY100123 i have read that western man/ asian female relationships work out much better than western female/asian male relationships. But, what is true statistically may not be true for each individual. So, really it depends on your spouse's unique personality! Have you looked into the book *my darling is a foreigner? it:s very popular now and about that topic. also, i think mr. gimmeaflakeman may be able to answer that better than me! *gives floor to V* ..... :)

  • What a cool video, I like the idea of no matter where you grew up in the world at our core we are all human but different at the same time.

  • Her accent is very funny.

  • @musiclobber ooooh PLEASE tell me why you think it:s funny!!! I have been trying to figure out for sooo long what has happened to my accent! *excited* :) is it southern? coz my family says i lost my southern accent....? but they are REALLY southern so...haha. some have said i sound a little bit like my husband now....uhoh

  • @ProjectVanBand I really like the way you sing, though, I'm just loving the southern with an impression of Japanese-ish. I have family in Georgia, and your Rs are about the only thing you have a twang to.

  • @musiclobber thank you so much :) I am happy to know i havent completely lost my southern lol. see, i love accents! hahaha

  • aww it been my dream as a little girl to move to japan

and have little japanese/puerto rican babies

but my family would never approve

  • @acWartooth part of my family didnt approve either...but now all is cool! but it:s still hard for them....im sure.

  • @ProjectVanBand

    aww

  • NO BODY ODOR?

  • @Laroling nope....he can run in 100F weather all day and not bathe for 2 days and he:s still fine. SIGH i dont know what percentage of the race is like that, but i do know that my husband, our male bassist, their moms dads and brothers/sisters......none of them use deodorant. i am the ONLY one who has EVER bought any! UGH

  • @rancidx3 nope you aren't the only one. It's like they are like robots or something.

  • Really enjoyable video. Nice to hear the woman's point of view for a change instead of some guy forever going on about how to date hot Japanese women.

Glad you posted this Victor and I am now going to sub to ProjectVanBand.

  • if statistics/patterns are not helpful, what is pyschology for?

  • @xxjacobxx3

Nobody says they are not helpful.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman

i know. i was just saying.

  • Comment removed

  • @daiasnow

Thanks for the education. Although its been nine months... lol I can see that I misinterpreted what I heard, since I agree with you.

  • I'm married to a Japanese man and I don't get the salary!!! in fact, I'M the salary man !!!

  • why am i subscribed. i mean how did i get subbed to here? oh well

  • I look forward to meeting my Japanese guy in the future!

    interesting video.

  • Awesome Show!! You da man!!

  • One of interesting traditions about J- corporation is that they can go to hostess clubs with male co- workers or clients, paid for by companies.

So called settaihi ( companys' entertaiment expense ).

  • Regarding how many hours he's at job I think it's quite common throughout the world considering the amount of responsability and tasks he needs to accomplish. Is he like some kind of CEO?

  • @MechaGojira00 nope, just a usual employee.

  • 600 vids!!!

  • What's a salaryman?

  • @azpeev

    Basically a Japanese businessman.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman

    thanks i wondered too

  • @azpeev

A Salaryman is not really a Japanese Businessman, Male Corporate Employee would be more accurate.

  • @mahoneko321

    Nitpicker! :)

The expression "Male Corporate Employee" does not exist as part of our daily English lexicon. Anyway, salaryman is now part of the English language. Look it up. Merriam Webster says:

    Definition of SALARYMAN

    : a Japanese white-collar businessman

I think azpeez is trying to say they are not businessmen in the way most westerners think of businessmen. Meaning they are more like corporate drones. But that really depends on the company.

  • @Gimmeaflakeman ever played Karoshi Suicide Salaryman?

  • Thanks. Another great video.

  • real cool video, cercl!

  • it's okay. the way things are going in the us, salary men here will be coming home at midnight soon too.

  • what a down to earth girl. great video!

  • It's not a matter to be married to a japanese, american, french, etc it's a matter of being married to the person you love.

  • I swear Ken Tanaka is in the first episode of heroes, what is that guy all about! lol

  • @QueenKazooie

I think Ken Tanaka plays a doughnut shopowner in Zeeke&Luther :D

  • It's probably only me but she kind of talks like Emily

  • cercl.

  • Sounds nice.

  • god..

  • Love her, and I agree with pretty much everything she said. Even though my husband isn't a salaryman... but the language thing is definitely a cause for most of our fights too!

  • CERCL

  • 600th vid gratz, although you already have 600+vid s but deletes some?

    congratulation

keep it up always happy to watch your teachings

  • cercl

  • Very very cool video. As someone who is married to a Japanese person, I totally agree with many of the things she said!

  • I'm in love. She's so cute *-*

  • That's awesome she found a Japanese guy. Now let's hope she doesn't start flaunting her chests, like MissHannahMinx.

  • @RelVleDy Dont worry....i have no chests to flaunt HAHAHAHA

  • Yeah. Good work, ProjectVan! I have to agree, Salarymen work way too much. Ryuhei never comes home until 9pm or so either. Sometimes it works out because I usually finish teaching around 9pm and we can go home together, but other days I get home first and I'm just waiting around for him to call me, so I can start making dinner. Then when he gets home, he eats and goes to sleep without a word. Even though you're living together you still feel really lonely in a way...

  • @Ciaela thanks!! and oh boy....the waiting till he calls to start dinner thing......soooo true.....im always skeptical of whether i should start dinner or not coz i might get the call saying i shouldnt even make dinner at all coz he will be so late.....or had to eat with customers or something....

and sometimes i have to have to futons out before he gets home so he can make a beeline straight to the bed....hahaha

it:s no wonder suicide rates are high....

  • "Im from the deep southern america"

Haha no shit! Run Forrest run! :)

  • This was really interesting. I'm glad I watched!

  • yeah in japan its very common to work overtime. I actually read a report where a company started to turn of the electricity to "force" the employees to go home.

  • Hey, 600th video. Congrats!

  • Pretty interesting... I thought I'd be nodding off... but I was awake the whole time... (damn.. I hope that doesn't come off sounding rude... I meant it in a nice way.... honest )

  • I don't really plan on dying. If medical science can't advance far enough to expand my lifeline I have a back up plan. I'll have my body preserved after death and by the time they're able to reanimate me immortality may be a thing of reality. Here's hoping.

  • Personally, I always thought one would have to be a housewife just to keep up with the Shinto ideal of cleanliness.

  • @panthercat38

Im supposed to be doing the end of the year house cleaning to make things new and fresh for new year.....

    im youtubing instead......lol

i use the band as an excuse !

  • @ProjectVanBand LOL! It's universal! :)

  • Nice vid, CERCL. :-] Must be tiring having long hours as a salaryman, at least he has a little time for video games, and plays music with his cool wifey lol! I liked the "we're all human" bit, very true. I think it's such an important thing to understand.

  • she is a very sweet lady.

and why write a childrens book for adults? seriously?

  • Neither do I have body odor maybe common to other rice eaters

  • @itobun To be honest, when i live in japan i usually dont use deodorant either, so some of it IS food related DEFINITELY, but i cant say that it all is, coz we also lived in the USA for several years and he still never bought any deodorant....and i needed to .HA! ugh.......

  • @ProjectVanBand Oh flattered you mean it is one of our racial peculialities. Possibly it is a gift from God to live each other in such a narrow and small country lol

  • @itobungmail hahaha! I never thought of it like that, but i guess so!! LOL

  • i wanna live in Japan and die in Gackts arms in a hello kitty store :D

  • @hkfan1980 I don't know why I laughed at that.

  • WOW Deaths and being married to a Japanese dude....and Christmas and New Years! What an upbeat guy. What a positive and happy Channel.

I hear if you marry a Japanese you have a 23 percent chance of homocide but there's only a 8 percent chancce of that.

Anyway, I see no problem with putting the Ken Takananana plug at the end of Iwate Swan. There would be something .... tactless behind it that would make it really odd.

Anyway, before you marry a Jap, I hear you have to have them deloused.

  • LOL!!! I just noticed the Knife in the cabesa!!! Funny!!!! Great expression on your dead face... LOL!!!

  • @ 00:18 Super Van Band? Did I not get CC'd to this memo? LOL!!

  • @edtomorrow hahaha i like that name! There:s just something mighty about being SuperVan.....

dang....i shoulda named our band that!

  • @ProjectVanBand That can be your side project. Super VAN!!! Kinda makes me think of Scooby Do's Mystery Machine van and this one comedy skit where people were doing impressions of Scoob and Shaggy talking and doing bong hits... LOL!!!

    YOu are super!!!

  • @edtomorrow dangit!!! now i wish i were in the USA coz i think i would try to get an old smokin van and paint it with *SUPER VAN BAND* and tour the country playing on all the sidewalks!!! gosh that would probably be a hit.....HAHAHA scoobie DOOBIE doo!

wasnt the smoke coming out the windows? i tried to find a video of it but couldnt....

  • @ProjectVanBand

That sounds like it would be so much fun!

  • @Gimmeaflakeman

    wouldnt it though? hahaha

  • i am hungry for some ramen.... i need to make some!
