In California we call this phenomenon a ghetto bird. Just because it made no sound means nothing unless it flew directly over you. The video clearly shows that the object is fairly far off.

ufo video's are not clear because its hard to get a clear shot. I had a ufo sighting last night in Richmond California and i was amazed and scared. There was about five of them one near Marin county and one up close and personal and the others were floating above the atmosphere. If i would have taken a pic last night i guarantee it would have not been clear. UFO'S also can look like stars to the untrained eye. I seen them about 300am to 430 am last night i called 911 and nobody cared.

@timquinn66: I think that it may be because alot of UFO footage is shot at night. Which provides very inadequate lighting conditions. Even using a good $600 camera wtih a tripod, the photo would only be clear enough to make out the vague shape and possibly colors. Daytime sightings may typicly prove to be higher quality.

I live in Eugene Oregon, Last night around 10 pm , out watering the lawn and studying the sky I notice what appeared to be a sattelite. after watching for 30 seconds or so this object emitted a strong light for only a second, the object continued in its direction for a few more seconds before simply vanishing. what's your thoughts

Considering the flickering in the object I would have to guess that it could be a sky lantern.

I've lit one before, and seen them. As they go into the sky they appear smaller, and if not recognized right away, are unknown to some.

The flickering in this video - if sky lantern - would be the flame, and the disappearing, well... sky lanterns do go out that quick. Mine did when I tried one.

PS/FYI - I am not out to prove you wrong, but to put out my opinion based on the footage.

i think it's a satellite during orbit correction. the flashes on the side mey be the steering rockets for little maneuvers. i saw many of them in the clear sky: a light appears, accelerates for a while, some zig-zag maneuvers and lights go off. the rocket engine of a satellite is visible from 100 kms and above.

I am a hobby watcher. When I am out at night I always see these objects (not in US). The original footage was taken in hd, i've seen that too-and it is blurry! That means it flies really high, so average cameras just can't see it. So it IS above the stratosphere and a few consecutive layers what makes this color trick ON SATELLITES. believe me, until no close-up vids are taken about this object we can't call it evidence of ET's or military aircraft

SR-71 could disappear with a trick: On its operational height and speed its black color went into sky blue due to a special paint. When ET or military aircrafts want to hide from curious eyes they do. Satellites can't hide when the rocket engines are operating.

Pretty colors, but with nothing to contrast the UFO off of it's hard to say this is a UFO. I'm not convinced that you didn't just move the camera, the UFO when it goes from left to right it does dip up and around as to say your arm pushed down on the tripod handle making it bob in that moment in time.
