@nintendoprofessor94 Song : Move Me , Its a soundtrack from the game Ridge Racer Type 4 , a Ps1 racing game ! If you type "move me ridge racer" in youtubes search bar , you should come up with it !
@smtkl it can get complicated, a 3 axis mill or lathe isn't that complicated to program or run, I really can't say anything about a 4 or 5 axis, as i have never ran one. I would imagine its not too bad, just another axis to keep in mind when programing, if you do not program the machine and have someone else do it however(this is normally the case in most shops nowadays), its as simple as pushing a few buttons.
Great runner, I thought a little de-burring opp might have been in their for the thru holes. Still you gotta leave something for the humans to do I suppose..
Big compliments to whoever the person(s) at GMT that made the decision to produce a machine tool demonstration video of this calibre. With so much visual junk being foisted on YouTube - your product stands way above. Too often manufacturers (even those selling millions of dollars of tools) have trash video. You guys rock. May you make the piles of money that you deserve. Cheers.....
Has anyone purchased any tools from this company. I wonder how there vises compare to a Kurt vise. My grandfather owns a machine shop and I wanted to show him those double vises this company sells but I've never heard of this company to know if there reputable.
I understand this is a demonstration video and therefore there is no coolant, but how can the miller cut that much material that fast without burning? Ive tryed to cut with no coolant before (becos' i forgot to turn it on), and the tools just melt in 3sec.
That high tech precision lathes that can rotate at high speed for long periods of time with huge torque, and if needed can stop and do precision rotations, both situations on the main axle.
What kind of motors do they use to do that task? A stepper overheat after some time at high speed, right?
@molinobeer I've made some pretty precise parts in my day, but I could never come close to this speed and repeatability. Parts that would take me hours on the old machines, they do in minutes, and then they automatically feed in more stock and start making another one just like the first. I've got to admit, it's fun to watch them work.
Brilliant video. And finally...someone who can program and run a machine properly. You can see from this that you don't have to run the machine at 150% and have the tool going in at 3.5x the speed of sound just to look good.
I have to agree, the picture quality should be standard to all machining videos- beautiful! Wow top notch, I wish I could to shoot video just as good.
Better than porn.

how did the machine get rid of the burrs ? 2:56 the burrs are present, 2:57 the burrs are gone !
sgbilal 4 months ago 2
@sgbilal Maybe the holes we see there are the holes where mill entered and the holes with burrs are on the other side.

it`s not complicated if you now what you are doing
programing for it is a lot complicated then just using a mashine

beautiful job, but what the programmer should have done first are the holes, and then clean up after

@SPUNKKK I'm pretty sure that's a solid carbide endmill, which can handle the heat.
