  • To deep for a kidds show Hardley

  • Actuley Zombo house of Movies has been on for Fortey Years

  • I loved this show makes me think of far brighter times

  • I only found this because I was searching for "meta-comedy" after Norm MacDonald said it on TV tonight.

  • @hawaiidispenser omg me too!

  • Thumb up if you just found out about this show from a documentary on pbs

  • Too deep for kids? This show ran for 35 years, the longest running local kids show in tv history and was legendary among kids who grew up in Phoenix from the fifties to the eighties. Too deep for kids? That guy must be a network executive!

  • Great stuff!

  • I was on the Wallace and Ladmo show once , my girl scout troop was in the audiance and we were all given small versions of the Ladmo gag. i wish i kept it , it probly would of been a collecters item. MABY !!!

  • The great Pat McMahon as Boffo!

  • Some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen in my life was on the Wallace and Ladmo Show. That piece was great. I watched it from the sixties to the end. The older I got, the more I liked it. I won't tell you about my stoner days! Wallace and Ladmo caused more stoners to die from hysterics than any one else in the world.

The rest of the world missed it. To bad.

  • I didn't care if the show may have been too deep for kids. Thats an adult talking. Kids back then only cared about the cartoons, the ladmo bags, and trying to get on the show. Ut was a great show. I love it still if only in reruns.

  • I loved that Wallace and Ladmo never talked down to kids. I also think some of their skits were better than SNL's skits.

  • i loved this show.

  • This is so funny. I watched this show all my life, 'till I was 13 when they broke my heart and the show went off the air. I wish I had been old enuff to understand some of the stuff that went on.

  • This makes me laugh so hard! My dad use to watch this as a kid!

  • Seems like Joe Pesci saw this, too.

  • I used to watch this show as well.

  • Ladmo was Willie Wonka and Dr Who combined. Note that this era W&L there was a time machine built into the set. They didn't use it often, but I always knew it was there.

  • @kittenvillage Funny you should mention Willy Wonka. I bought a Ladmo tie shirt at the Arizona History Museum while visiting Phoenix over Thanksgiving in 2006, and a month later, while visiting my sister and brother-in-law, he asked if the picture of Ladmo on the tie was Willy Wonka.

  • I think this is the best boffo moment, evAR!!!!

Hey, anyone got the old saturday morning WORLD BEYOND intros? PLEASE? THe Dark Side of the Moon one, with GOdzilla! ANY of them with STU TRACEY intoning WORLDdddd BEYONEDddddd

  • I watched W&L almost every morning all through the 80's before school, and this brought back a lot of great memories. Thank you very much for taking the time to post it. Lots of great memories of KPHO...Stu Tracy putting up his magnetic weather symbols on the map springs to mind.

  • @talshiarr

A Trekkie AND a Wallace & Ladmo fan?!? How cool are you?

I too remember Stu Tracy's famous magnetic weather symbols. He also did a lot of the promo voice-overs and even did voice-overs for KPHO's daily opening and closing sequences.

  • I only wish more treasure from this local Phoenix, Arizona children's show were preserved. Thanks for uploading this!
